I used to be part of a homeschool group and there were a bunch of girls my age. We were friends, and most of us started watching Doctor Who. I was about 12 or 13 at the time. It started with ChristietheGhost and another girl. Then, me and a few of the other girls also started watching the show.
We were hooked.
One of the girls would always squeal, "David Tennant!" or "Captain Jack!"
Also, my brother got a sonic screwdriver and he would take it to co-op and the park and my friends always squealed in excitement when he pulled it out and flicked it out.
Those were good times.
Also, me and three other girls (ChristietheGhost included) were going to write a Doctor Who/Warriors/Harry Potter/Percy Jackson/ Star Wars super crossover fanfic.
