I woke up to see that Ellie had already gotten up and made some cereal for us both.

"Thanks Ellie, you ready for the interview?"

I asked as she handed me a bowl.

"Physically yes, mentally no way!"

"Tell me about it! Wait do you think Balin meant the one of the Durin brothers or Thorin, because if it's Thorin i am going to die!?"

I said panicking slightly.

*time skip by Ellie and Becca rummaging through boxes to find clothes and qualifications*

"Have we got everything?"

I looked down at the pieces of paper which could make or break today's interview.

Ellie nodded and dragged me out the door before I could change my mind.

As we walked closer and closer to the Erebor building I could feel the nerves building up inside me, ready to cause a tsunami of doubt. I looked around seeing if I could find a way out, because who am I kidding I can't deal with social situations involving friends let alone a job interview with a Durin!

"Ellie..."

I said shakily stopping in front of the building.

"No Becca you can do this, trust me!"

Ellie encouraged me whilst pulling me into the building as I took in deep breaths of ice cold morning air.

"Hello m'lady the interview is in half an hour so make yourself comfortable."

Balin gestured to some sofas just around the corner of a massive marble pillar.

"Thank you so much, may I ask a question?"

I said hesitantly.

"Of corse, what is it?"

Balin smiled reassuringly which calmed my nerves and slowed my beating heart.

"I've heard that there are multiple employees who are Durins, which one will be interviewing me?"

Please not Thorin, please not Thorin, please not...

"Master Fíli will be conducting your interview."

Balin said as I let out a sigh of relief and Ellie gave me a jealous glare.

"Thank you very much Mr..."

"Balin, you can call me Balin."

"Thank you Mr Balin, I hope to see you again."

I said bowing slightly before Ellie dragged me off to the sofa area.

"Lucky you get to meet Fee!"

She whispered then sat back folding her arms.

"But you get to work for Bilbo!"

I whispered back, which soon brightened her face and when that happens she's definitely up to something.

"Ellie what are you planning?"

"Nothing.....yet!!"

She giggled and looked around innocently.
Until her eyes spotted someone and she went bright red.

"Fee by any chance?"

I said trying not to laugh.

"Shush let me admire his beauty without you interrupting."

It was getting harder and harder for me not to laugh.

"Ellie stop with your massive crush you've got an interview in half an hour!"

I said shaking her to snap her out of her 'Fíli daze'.

"Oh god yeah whoops, byeeee Becca, come and tell me how it goes, good luck!"

I waved her off and mumbled;

"I'll need it."
