46 | Three Days Grace!

Hello, everyone!

Oh boi, why didn't I do this chapter before?

Here I'm gonna dwell on my favourite band, aka Three Days Grace, which you can probably assume from my nickname. c': But I love them so much, and I'm gonna advertise them a bit to you lol.

Say hello to Canadian hard rock band (because I reeally love Canadian hard rock bands), formed in 1997. The guys have known each other before, outcasts from school, that created their own band; first called "Groundswell".

Adam Gontier, the frontman. He can't into rhymes and I love him very much. c:

Neil, the drummer. Dork. Also, the squad's funny guy.

Barry, the guitarist. Seems tough but is actually nice boi.

Brad, the bassist. Great guy, I also ship him with Adam as hell.
Just...

J

ust let me.

The bassist has come up with the band's name "Three Days Grace", thinking about the school question - "If you had three days to change your life - would you do it?". Ta-daah, we have some cool name to show off.

Which always makes me laugh is the fact that they released each album at three years intervals. They really love number three, don't they XD First, debut album, was a big hit, winning some awards, blah blah blah, I bet you don't care about the numbers.

One-X was full of leader vocalist's pain; he wrote most of the songs on rehab, due to his addiction do Oxycontin. It's such a powerful piece.

My favourite album is "Life Starts Now", which sounds just... less rough? Calmer, yet strong?

In 2013, one year after releasing "Transit of Venus", Adam Gontier left the band, replaced by the bassist's brother, which still leaves me shocked. ;--;

See, this poor gal wanted to start a new chapter in his life, starting with new band, divorcing his wife. I kinda... understand him... but it still pains to see one member leaving... you feel me.

I adore Adam. He has doggos!

But Matt, new singer, is also great.

What I love about Three Days Grace? Eh, so many things. Their music is powerful, a bit edgy okay, but as Adam said, he "can't write about flowers, trees and happy shit, it's much more easy to write about what's pissing me off". Most of the songs are full of pain, their first rather rough, heavy, but that's something about them that touches my heart... ahh I can't explain music so much XD But believe me, it's great. Beautiful. Hard.

My adventure with TDG started around 2011, and they quickly became my all time favourite band, and helped me through a lot, so I owe 'em something. <3

*waiting for the next album - gonna be realesed in March!*

I have no idea why didn't I spread TDG love before. But see, there are some quality bands outside the classic rock 👌👌

Highly recommend listening to them!

Okay my job is done here.

Goodbye, y'all!
