Narrator's POV

Ash and his friends were in the Santalune park.
Ash was trying to train with Clemont for te battles, while Serena was cheering for both of them on top of her lungs.
Bonnie watched, uninterested.

"Chespin! Use Vine whip!" Clemont ordered.

"Dodge, and use electroball!!" Ash shouted back at Pikachu.

At that, Pikachu successfully dodged the whip by jumping and then used electroball. The next thing Clemont knew, his Pokèmon was lying unconsciously on the ground.

"Oh no!" Clemont muttered under his breath.
Ash and Pikachu won the match, but since Chespin was a little injured, so they all decided to go to a nearby Pokècenter.

They walked the automatic door and sat in the waiting room while Clemont walked up to the reception.
"Is there anyone named Ash Ketchum here?" Nurse Joy asked in a loud voice, so everyone could hear.

Ash's head perked up. "I-Its me!" He replied and walked to where Clemont was.

"Oh. There's a call for you." Nurse Joy said and pointed at a video telephone.

"Okay." Ash said and walked off to where she pointed. He picked up the receiver. The screen lit up, and a face met his eyes. It was his mom, Delia.

"Hey mom! I missed you." He said. And Delia smiled.
"Aw, me too! I missed you a lot." She said through the phone.

"So, why did you call?"
"Oh... yeah. About that. So, I have bought some tickets back to Kanto for your friends and you."
"R-really?!" He said, purely excited. "Thank you!! And... how will I get those?" He asked.
"They are with Proffesor Sycamore."
"Hm? Proffesor Sycamore? Why him?"
"He's a family friend. And... if you are somewhere near him, you can go and have them already." She said.

"Thanks mom! I'll get them as soon as possible!" He beamed. "I can't wait to see you." She replied and the screen went black.
"Yeahh!" Ash cheered.

"We're going home." Ash said to his friends.
"What do you mean?" Clemont asked.

"Wait. Are you thinking about going to Kanto?"  Serena asked. 
"Yes!" He said.
"Yeah! That's cool!" Bonnie exclaimed.

"What about the tickets?" Serena asked.
"They are with Proffesor Sycamore." He replied.
"What? How? Why him?" She asked.
"I'll explain later. For now, let's go!" He said.

They all turned to go.
Ash was bursting with happiness.

Time skip to Sycamore's lab

Ash and his friends entered the lab. It didn't look like one actually. 
"Professor Sycamore?" Ash asked, and his voice echoed back.

He emerged from a room. "Oh? It's Ash!" He said.
Ash smiled. "Do you know my mom?" He asked.

"She sent in some tickets today." He said.
"Yes! Thank you for telling." He exclaimed.

After being handed the tickets, they all set out for the airport.
And then waited.
