Epilogue: "I've never been so sure about anything"

Tenten felt like she couldn't breathe properly. She felt like she was gonna throw up. Next to her, Hinata sat rubbing her back whispering soothing words to her. Ino and Sakura stood in front of the brunette.

Tenten let out a heavy sigh, "I'm twenty four years old! Why am I so nervous?!" Ino laughed at her friend. "Who wouldn't be nervous? It's completely normal. Didn't you see how pale Hinata got when it was her wedding?"

Hinata flushed in embarrassment. "I-Ino-chan!"

Ino threw her hands up, exasperated. "What?! I'm just saying! I'm trying to make her feel better." Sakura sent her a glare, "Oh, and you're doing a great job aren't you Ino-Pig." They growled at each other.

Tenten laughed at the scene, her nerves steadily calming. "Guys chill, please. I'm fine now. I just, need a moment by myself." She looked up to her friends who gave her an uncertain look. They finally gave in after a bit of pestering and left.

Tenten took a deep breath and released it, trying to get all her nerves out with it. It somewhat worked, only a little bit though. She no longer felt like she could feel her breakfast in her throat. But it was still in her stomach, ready to emerge. Tenten's head shot up when she heard the door to the room open. Meeting her father's warm gaze, she relaxed.

"Tou-san," she greeted. He nodded back to her and took a seat beside her.

"Nervous?"

"I wanna throw up."

He laughed. "Ha! I know the feeling. You should have seen me the night before my own wedding. I was such a train wreck."

Tenten's lips tugged into a small smile. "Really?"

"Of course!" He grinned at her. "However your mother was a different story. She was so calm about it. So sure. I never understood until she told me her vow." A content smile replaced his grin. "She told me, 'I've never been so sure about anything in my entire life.'"

Tenten's eyes widened at his words. "Really?"

"Yup." He told her, popping the 'p'. "And when she said that, I was sure too. Oh jeez," he laughed. "I sound super cheesy, dont I? Sorry kid."

Tenten shook her head. "Don't be. I'm not nervous anymore." She smiled at him. "Because I'm sure too."

Neji whipped his hands on his pants nervously. There was no way he was ready for this. He knew that she was the one. That Tenten Mitashi was in fact the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. But what if he slipped up? What if she changed her mind? So many things could go wrong. So many things.

"Shit.." He muttered. He took a deep breath, and slowly made his way to the alter where his best man was waiting for him.

To many people's surprise, Neji had chosen Lee as his best man. Why? Neji didn't really know the answer to that. He just felt that Lee was the most appropriate person to ask. And Lee was more than happy to accept.

Lee gave him a thumbs up as he walked up. "You look great!" He whisper yelled. "Nothing to be worried about my friend. The power of youth is behind you."

Neji rolled his eyes, but smiled nonetheless. "Quite literally, seeing as your standing behind me."

"I'll take that as a compliment!"

"Of course you will."

"Yosh! I can't wait until I'm in your shoes!"

Neji gave Lee a amused glance. "You mean with Kido?" Lee smiled back brightly, "Of course, who else?"

Neji couldn't help but smile at his friend's enthusiasm. It seemed that Lee was the right kind of positive energy the Hyūga needed in his life. It balanced out the calmness he had about him.

Neji was about to respond when Lee bid him goodbye and made his way down the walkway in the middle of the large room. Neji stared after him, thats when the music started. His eyes widened. He wasn't ready. Just a few more minutes. But it was too late for that. Panic settled in as Kido and Lee emerged from the double doors at the other end of the room towards him and the priest.

As the rest of Neji's and Tenten's close friends made their way towards him and settled into their spots behind him. His eyes never left those doors. A single bead of sweat trickled down his spine.

Then, he saw her.

For a second, Neji couldn't breath. Their eyes locked, and it was like she breathed air back into him. She looked stunning. Her dress was snug and hugged her curves kindly. Her hair was no longer in his usual twin buns. Instead it sat on her shoulders, and cascaded down her back in curls. The thin veil that covered her face couldn't hide the growing smile tugging at her seemingly perfect lips.

Neji couldn't look away, and couldn't focus on anything other than her. Even as she hugged her father and he took his seat in the front row. Even as she stood in front of him, her hands in his. He never took his eyes off her.

All too soon it was time for their vows. Neji and Tenten had decided to create their own vows. And Neji was up first. The Hyūga had spent hours, upon hours on his vows. And with nothing to show as a result. But somehow as he stood there, the room quiet, his eyes locked with hers. The words rushed to him.

"Tenten, I could say anything right now. I could tell you beautiful you are. How I love your voice. How much I love your laugh, your smiles. Or the way your eyes light up when you speak endlessly of weapons from the medieval age. I could go on and on about you. But that would take to long. There's too many things to mention and not nearly enough time to do it. Tenten, you give me so mny reasons to love you more and more. And I don't believe that you will ever stop doing that. Because every day I fall for you all over again. I'm ready to do that for the rest of my life. I love you, Tenten."

Tears pricked the brunette's eyes. "Neji..." From behind her Ino and Sakura awe'd.

"Thank you for your vow." The priest nodded to Neji before turning his head to face Tenten. "And now for the bride's vow."

Tenten was at a loss for words. She knew her vow like the back of her hand. She practiced it night and day. But now that the moment to say it was here, she couldn't remember a single line. However she disregarded it and let the words tumble out of her. Not caring what they were specifically, just as long as they got the point across.

"Neji, I love you so much I have no idea how to put it into words. But I guess that's normal since I don't know how to put a lot of things into words." A few people throughout the room chuckled at that. "I never want you to doubt the love I have for you. Ever. Because it's the only thing I have that I would never think twice about. Never for a second will I regret marrying you." Tenten's eyes traveled to find her father, who was tearing up. "Because I've never been so sure about anything in my life. These past few years with you have been some of the best of my life. And I can't wait for the ones to come."
