3rd Person's POV:

"Tenten... Who hurt you?"

Tenten's eyes widened. Was she that easy to read? She wanted to run. She had to. She had to get away from him. But at the same time. She wanted to run to him. More than anything in the world she wanted to run into his arms. Tenten's breathing started becoming uneven. She stared at Neji.

'I have to run. I have to run. I have to-'

Tenten bolted.

Neji took three seconds to process this before he took off after her. "Tenten, wait!"

Terror coursed through her body, only making her run faster. She couldn't stop. She wouldn't. Even though her legs were screaming at her to. Her lungs burned with effort. But she wouldn't stop.

Neji struggled to keep up with her. But he was faster than she was. Tenten broke through the door to the parking lot. She stopped only for a split second to locate her motorcycle.

"Tenten!"

At the sound of Neji's voice she started to sprint. Tenten fumbled with her jacket as she ran, trying to grab her key out of it. This slowed her down significantly.

'Where's my key?!'

Tears pricked Tenten's eyes. She took a sharp turn to the P.E area. As she stepped into the grassy area she slowed, trying to catch her breath. However, this gave Neji plenty of time to close the gap between them.

"Tenten!"

The teen turned her head to see Neji leaping towards her. She fully turned around, her eyes widening.

"Neji?!"

His body collided with hers, sending them both to the ground. Neji wrapped his arms around her and smoothly twisted their bodies as they fell so she would land on him. Neji groaned and squeezed his eyes shut.

'Bad idea.' He thought to himself.

Neji's eyes snapped open in surprise when he felt something warm and wet fall on his cheek. His lavender eyes clashed with Tenten's bloodshot brown ones. She wrapped her arms around his neck and continued to sob.

Neji awkwardly sat them up so that Tenten was sitting on his lap. She had wrapped her legs around his torso. Her tears slowly soaked his shirt, but he couldn't care less. She needed to cry. And he would be there for her.

Eventually, her sobs ceased. They sat there in silence. And when the bell rang, they didn't even flinch. Tenten seemed to be in another place. Not here. And Neji was going to let her stay there. As long as she needed to. He was content with the feelings of her chest rising and falling beneath his arms.

The bell rang again, signifying the start of fifth period. People started to trickle into the P.E field. Neji glared at them before sighing.

He gently brought a hand up to Tenten's head. "Tenten, classes started. I'm going to pick you up. We're in the way of the P.E class." Tenten nodded.

Neji slowly, but surely, stood up. He slipped his arms under Tenten's legs to support her weight. He felt her grip on his neck tighten. The Hyūga started walking towards the entrance they had come from. Just as they reached there, a couple female students opened the doors. They took one glance at Neji and started to giggle.

Neji grunted a thanks to one who opened the door for him. He took a right and made a bee line to his locker. When they arrived Neji tried his best to open it with one hand. It took him a minute but he eventually was able to. He grabbed a few of his things before shutting it and making his way back to the parking lot.

By now Neji's arms were really starting to ache. "Tenten, I need to put you down now." He whispered. She nodded in response and he slowly out her down. He took her hand and led her to his car, which was a gift from his uncle on his sixteenth birthday.

Once they were both settled inside, Neji pulled out his phone and quickly messaged Hinata. He told her the situation and proceeded to exit the school. After skillfully going around the back to avoid any teachers or staff, Neji took a sharp right onto the main road. The ride was silent, the only sound being the engine and a occasional sniffle.

Neji was tense as he drove. He didn't really know where to go, since he didn't know where Tenten's residence was. And he didn't want to make the tension in the air worse by asking. So instead, he changed directions to head towards the Hokage monument.

Long ago, roughly a couple hundred years ago, Konoha used to be a large bustling village. During that time period, their leader was called the Hokage. Because the village was one of fighters, and warriors. The Hokage was to be the strongest one in the village. It wasn't based off of heritage like a monarchy. However, as the world advanced and warriors as such were no longer needed. There ended up being four Hokage before that government was diminished. Clans from that time period still remained, seeing as most large clans made names for themselves in the modern world and across the country.

The Hokage had been such a big deal in their village, they would engrave the faces of the Hokage in the mountain beside their village. The carvings were so large they could be compared to the American monument: Mount Rushmore. To this day it still stood and was made a public place.

When they arrived at the top of the mountain Neji parked and quickly stepped out of the car. He took a deep breath after closing the door behind him. He was definitely going to get a earful from his uncle for skipping school. Also for ditching Hinata-sama.

He snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of the passenger door closing. Neji looked over at the weapons lover. She stood with her back to him, overlooking Konoha. He slowly made his way around the vehicle to stand by her side. To his surprise she took his hand and started leading him to the edge. When they got there she released his hand and settled it on the rail separating them from the very edge. Neji followed her lead and leaned up against the rail.

They looked over the view of their city for a while. It was a beautiful sight, really.

"How did you know?" Tenten whispered, barely loud enough for him to hear it.

Neji glanced at her, "Know what?"

She gave a soft smile. "This is my favorite place in all of Konoha." She closed her eyes and lifted her face to meet the breeze. "It's quiet, and not many people come up here. The view of Konoha, it's just-. Incredible."

Neji stared at her, his chest warming. He knew why it was doing so. He like- no. He loved Tenten. The feeling in his chest told him so. And it was the things like this that only made his feelings for him stronger.

"Tenten," He said grabbing her attention. "Can I tell you something?"

"Yes."

"I like- no. That's not right. I..." He looked up to the sky. "I love you. I don't even know if you feel the same way. Or if you ever will. But... even if you didn't. I think I'd be okay with that. I just need you in my life. One way or another. In some shape or form I need you there. Even if we're just friends. I want to be close friends with you. And... And even if you fall in love with someone else. I'll be there to support you and your happiness. I want you to be happy. No matter who it's with. No matter who you share your life with." Neji let his gaze drop to the ground. His heart clenched with sadness at the thought of her with somebody else.

Tears filled his eyes but he blinked them away and continued. "I think that's what love is. When all you want for the person you love is their unconditional happiness. Even if it's not with you. So I just needed to tell you that. That... I love you, Tenten."

With all his effort, he looked over to the brunette.

Tenten's face was flushed. She stared at him with wide, tear filled eyes. Very slowly, one by one, they fell down her cheeks. "N-Neji I-"

"It's okay Tenten." He told her while wiping her tears. "I know you likely don't feel the same way." He gave her a pained smile. "There's no need for you to-"

"Let me finish! What's with you and interrupting people?!" She sobbed.

"Tenten I-"

"I love you too!" Tenten yelled. "I don't know how long. Because I just realized that I do! But I think I have for a long time. This feeling I get in my chest when your around? It's because I love you! And it's been there for a while. I was in so much denial. Because I didn't want to love you. I didn't want it to be the way it was before... But somewhere in my heart I know that it won't. I... I trust you. I trust you enough to give you my heart." She hesitantly met his gaze. "I know it's broken and put back together roughly. But... I trust you."

Silence fell between the two. Neither know what to say to the other.

On one hand, Neji was shocked. The girl he loved, loved him back? He didn't think such a thing was possible. Not only that, but she had loved him for a while? How long exactly? What did this mean then? Where would their relationship go from here? Tenten couldn't help but think the same. Where would their relationship go now after their confessions?

"Neji." Tenten said, deciding to speak up. "I..." She trailed off as Neji gently brought his hand up to caress her cheek. Very slowly, bringing their faces closer together.

"N-Neji?" She squeaked out, "What are you-"

"You talk too much." He cut her off before closing the space between them.

The kiss could really only be described as bliss. Neji wrapped his arms around Tenten's waist, deepening the kiss. She gladly complied, folding her arms over his neck, pulling him closer. They eventually pulled away from each other.

Their face's were flushed. They breathed in sync, staring at each other.

"Sooo.. was that just a kiss, or a be my girlfriend kiss..?" Tenten asked awkwardly. Neji chuckled and kissed her again. "Tenten, please do me the honor of being my girlfriend."

She smiled brightly. "The honor would be mine."

Finally! I've been waiting forever to write that chapter! Woo!

I hate to say this. But this pretty much sums up our story. There is a possibility I will do an epilogue since I love you guys so much.

So be excited for that!
