Sitting on my bed, I feel so... lost, sad and enraged...

My parents have been killed, and they were my sole reason that I even got into this ranking bullshit. But now with them gone, what the fuck is the point?

Well, the UAA doesn't care most likely, stuff will go on as usual and I just have to keep on killing dudes.

But the UAA doesn't seem to be involved in the murder, as Chiyu contacted her mother about it, and she had no idea that the 1st ranked assassin did that.

Well, guess they aren't 1st ranked for nothing after all...

Something that still itches me though and scares me as well is the fact that the voice mentioned that they might go for taking away someone very dear to me, which is without a doubt Touko.

Last time it was the UAA that set the kidnapping up, and hell, she wasn't even intended to die it appears, but this guy, apparently named Jasper, is set on making only pain for me.

He began with my parents, and now he is out for Touko..! I have to stop him!

I soon realize it's time for me to head to CiRCLE, which I guess was about time, but in this state, I dunno how I will handle all of this...

With heavy steps, I get up from bed and seeing as I already have clothes on me, I just prepare some smaller things before it's time to go.

Heading towards CiRCLE, I remain feeling empty, not knowing what to do next, but one thing's for sure; I have to kill Jasper.

As I arrive at the live house and enter it, I am met with a lot of familiar faces, with some new ones as well.

"Stephy..!" Touko says as she runs up to me and hugs me very tightly. "I am so sorry over your parents, it's so horrible..."

"N-no, it's... it's fine-" I manage to reply before I begin breaking down in tears.

Everyone else looks in silence, but yet shows great sympathy, some even crying as well over me being so sad.

"Don't worry man, I've got you over at school. Ibuki and Noa was also with me and said how it was." Daichi says as I get a little surprised he is here. "Oh, yeah, I haven't told you, but I began working part time here after you resigned and went on that trip."

"I-I see, that's nice of you..." I reply to him as I am still sniffling while Touko keeps hugging and snuggling with me to calm me down.

"Stephan was definitely more to help than Daichi has been though~" Tsukushi suddenly says in a rather teasing manner.

"...Since when was Tsukushi the teasing type of her..?" I ask as Touko and Tsukushi giggles while doing a high five.

"She has come to terms to not overwork herself as the leader of Morfonica, so instead she tries being more carefree of her!" Touko says Tsukushi nods in reply.

"Indeed! So I will be able to pull out some jokes myself time from time!" the latter says as she looks to Daichi. "Though I really weren't serious with what I said there, Daichi. You are still a great help!"

"Yeah, but none hasn't helped more than Stephan. Not only when it comes to live house stuff, but also all the band girls and how everyone has become more lighthearted in general." Daichi says as he looks at me again. "You know man, if you had been more for a harem, you would've had more-"

But before he can say more, Rui smacks him over the head, interrupting him.

"I am sorry for that, but I prefer that Stephan remains as he is. He and Touko are happy with each other, so nothing should be changed there." she tells him before bowing. "Sorry again for hitting you."

"Hey it's fine, really... Just me saying too much, my bad." Daichi replies to Rui as everyone once again looks to me.

"Well, so what should be done now when your parents are... gone?" Yukina suddenly asks me as I think for a moment.

"I will... have to mourn them for some time, but I hope the police finds the murderers." I reply, lying at the second part as I know the cops won't do shit against this, considering how they turn a blind eye to many UAA activities, especially if it involves other assassins, like I am.

Because I am going to be the one heading out of my way to kill all these remaining assassins to reach Jasper, I might get less time to go on like normally in life, but I have to, no matter what!

As the atmosphere lightens up a little after me having become happier after meeting everyone again, some heads home while some stay behind.

Heading into the lounge together with Touko, we sit down together as she keeps hugging onto me.

"Stephy is the best ever, forever and ever~" she tells me among other compliments while I think.

Though while thinking, I can spot that Daichi and Lisa are talking with each other. The latter seems to be acting very flirty though towards him...

Hmm, seems loves blossoms anytime really, and for Daichi is no exception. He is a good guy though, and if he and Lisa hooks up, I will be more than glad to support them.

But for now, I can't really bother with putting myself in other's business and love roller coasters. I have already my love of my life next to-

For some reason though, it felt like... I had something be remembered in my head. Ah well, again, I am exhausted, so shit probably becomes all over the place for me currently.

Stretching on myself, I lay my arm around Touko as she blushes even more, with me winking at her.

"Teaser~" she replies as she kisses me on my cheek. Man, Touko really always manages to calm my nerves.

"Oh yeah, Touko?"

"Yes, Stephy~?"

"Mind if we go home to you again today as well? Both so I can come by and pick up Takumi, but also because I have an idea for a new outfit, if it isn't too much."

"Nothing's too much when it comes to my Stephy!" she replies as we get up from the sofa and head out of the live house towards the kimono shop.

As we are there, Touko first carries out Takumi's cage with him in it, of course, so I can take him with me, but then it's time for me to show the design I want to have for my new assassin outfit.

"Alright, this... is what I have in mind." I tell her as I show a picture of The Batman Who Laughs.

"I- Oh my..!" Touko replies before looking to me. "It looks so grim of it, and I mean, it is cool but... Would it really fit someone as sweet and cute as you..?"

"W-well, when you put it like that, maybe not..! But... it's a cool outfit really, heh..." I tell her before she giggles.

"Alright, it will definitely take a little bit more time than the previous one, but I am up for it!" Touko says as she puts up a finger. "But! You have to promise to continue being you, no matter what..!"

"Wah, but of course I will, Touko. You made me into the one I am today, so as long as I have an undying flame of love for you, I will always be who I truly am." I reply to her as we kiss each other before she backs away.

"Oh yeah, Stephy, how do you like my new bras~?" she suddenly asks me as she unbuttons her school uniform top and opens it, revealing a new pair of bras underneath.

"Hohoho, sexy~" I tell her as I already feel those urges come back while Touko giggles and bites her lower lip while looking at me. "Unexpected you would show me like this though. Having gotten more bolder since the night we first time did it for real?"

"Maaaybe, hehe~!" she replies as she buttons up the top again before soon hugging me. "But sexual feelings aside, my absolute strongest feelings for you are those which comes from the depths of my heart..."

After we finally let go, I say my goodbye to Touko and take Takumi with me so my beloved won't be disturbed while making my brand new outfit for doing assassin stuff.

"Well, Takumi, time to be at my home after quite some time of me being away. How does that sound?" I ask him as he interrupts with his lettuce eating and looks at me, before going back to eating. "Heh, I will take that as a positive thing."

Once I arrive at my apartment, things are quiet like usual, not even Chiyu's band is practicing today.

Putting down Takumi on a nearby table, I stretch myself again as I look around my apartment.

"...Oh shit, I gotta start preparing for when Touko moves in here!" I suddenly remember as I did after all talk it out with her parents before I left if she could begin living with me.

Though at the same time, how much of a good idea is that even? Touko could get hurt if she is in the way if an assassin ever breaks into here to find me.

I refuse to let anything happen to Touko, but then again, maybe I am already protecting her as much as possible. Maybe I don't need to be super paranoid about it all, but I'll be on my guard regardless.

I just know they won't touch my friends, because they know to only go for the one's that can make my heart ache, such as my parents and soon... Touko...

But again, I will do anything to protect Touko. At least then I have a better than ever reason to go on with these rankings.

"50 shits left, I hope I can manage it all." I say in a determined tone as I take up my phone and look at my lock screen, which I have photo of Touko when she had her birthday. "I will protect you, my beloved Touko Kirigaya."

It'll be a struggle for sure with these remaining assassins, but they won't be a match when I fight to both protect Touko and to get out my lust for revenge for my parents' deaths.

I do wonder though, when will the message even arrive that I can meet the next one..? Can't take that long now, can it?

For now, preparations for Touko to move in here shall be done-! Huh, a new message, let's see...

I think for a little while, but it's best to hear her out. She has a lot to tell me I can imagine after all this time.

Oh boy, this can only mean something has happened while I were away. Best to see what sort of people were troubling my poor Touko...

Well, better clean up some more then before Touko arrives, I welcomed her here after all. And it's only fair she gets to come here, considering she will live here with me at the end of the month.

Hope at least I can help with moving it in, as there are a few stairs, and I just can't get things handed to me like that. Just doesn't feel right otherwise if I don't help some.

Cleaning and cleaning, lot of cleaning has to be done, but I am so used to that from having worked at CiRCLE, so I don't see it as a major chore.

Sure, a great time waster, though not as a great time waster like video games, but I think you get me.

Either way, as I soon finish up, the doorbell rings and I rush over to the door, but it appears to just be a postman...

"Ah, sorry, thought it was my girlfriend." I tell them as I sign under before I get handed the mystery package. "I definitely don't remember ordering anything before leaving..."

I open it either way, and find some peculiar content in it.

"Why is there lingerie in this package?! And is that..."

I see another object in there, which appears to be a beam katana. Now I am really curious who sent this-

Swinging around the beam katana a little, it suddenly shoots a small energy ball that hurls towards a shelf and the impact causing stuff from it to begin falling.

"Oh no wait, no! I had just finished cleaning!" I say to myself in annoyance as I look at the new beam katana in my hand before sighing. "And I also gotta learn more about what this beam katana does."

Cleaning up again the mess I did, I soon put the beam katana to the side, as I can pay attention to it later.

The doorbell soon rings again, and this time it's Touko!

"Hey hey, sorry for intruding~!"

"No way you are, you are so welcome here." I tell her as she steps inside and closes the door after her.

"I wanted to check up on how you are doing. I know you said it was fine, but I am still worried for ya, you know..!"

"Well, it's greatly appreciated really, so thanks, Touko." I reply to her as she giggles. My, I still can't get over how attractive she is in her various outfits.

Right now she is wearing her usual casual outfit for spring, but I don't know why it looks so extra great of it.

Saying that, I wrap my arm around her waist, which she responds with tilting her head to my shoulder while blushing.

"Welcome home, my beloved Touko."

For the rest of the day, we decide to just take it easy and watch some movies together, the usual really when we two are together, but I couldn't ask for anything better.

I think it's good I didn't get too depressed over my parents, because how much would they even thank me if I saved them..? Ah well, I shouldn't really think about the whole relationship I had with my parents.

Still pissed I got into this though due to them, but I better see this to the end. It's about protecting Touko now.

While I am laying down and having my head on Touko's lap, I get a new message, which I assume is either one of my friends or, worst case scenario, UAA.

Turns out to be the latter, and that it's ready now with clashing with the next assassin.

"I think the outfit will be done by tomorrow, so-"

"Touko, take your time with it. I... rather stall with time as well, it's more than valuable now when I only have you." I tell her as she looks in surprise at me, before smiling and blushing.

"Alright, and I have more than ever confidence now in that you will be able to get through this with no problems!" she replies as I nod before sitting up, still looking at her. "Still... come home safely..."

"I will, and it's not a promise, it's a requirement for me to come back home to my Touko." I tell her as we both laugh before hugging each other.

My desperate struggle truly begins now, and it might get crazier than ever, but I will stand ready for anything in order to protect the one I love.
