ALYA'S POV

I paced back and forth in Chloe's room worrying about Marinette. Chloe and I had send few messages but she hasn't replied any one of them. I slumped on to one of the chairs in her room trying to calm myself down from getting frustrated. 

"Alya, I know you're worried but getting frustrated isn't going to help anything" Chloe stated while offering a glass of juice to me.

I looked up at Chloe and smiled. I knew she was right about it. Just then I heard my phone ring and it was a call from Marinette. I answered the call but was disappointed to hear a half dead voice at the other end of call.

"Hey Alya, I just call to tell you i'm fine. You don't have to worry." Marinette said

"Hey girl, how could I not worry. You haven't been acting yourself for the past four months. Chloe and I are worried sick about you." I said sadly

"I know but it's just hard. So anyway i'm going to call Chloe." She said

"It's okay Chloe is with me, I'll tell her. Bye girl." I said before ending the call.

I told Chloe what Marinette said and she was also sad about Marinette's condition. Few minutes later we decided to walk to Marinette's apartment to give her a surprise visit. We felt sympathy towards Marinette, it's not her fault Adrien is in coma. Lila just had to create a story again. Luckily for Marinette, Nino, Chloe, Nathaniel and I did not believe that story.

Nino and Marinette aren't so close but he believes Marinette didn't do anything because he knows Lila's a liar.

After planning their day with Marinette which mostly is just doing things in her apartment because Marinette likes to stay indoors nowadays, they left the hotel and walked to her apartment. On the way they saw a blue - haired girl wearing a black hoodie exiting the hospital. She was crying while running to the building where Marinette stays. Soon, Alya and Chloe realized the girl was actually Marinette.

They rushed in the building and went straight to Marinette's apartment. Chloe knocked on the door but there was no answer. She heard light sobs coming from inside so she opened her mouth to speak.

"Marinette, it's us, Chloe and Alya. Please let us in." Chloe said softly but loud enough for Marinette to hear.

Marinette stood up and unlocked the door. Her eyes were red from crying. Marinette hugged Chloe really hard while crying on her shoulder. Chloe and Alya went inside Marinette's apartment and saw that the apartment was kind of a mess.

CHLOE'S  POV

Seeing marinette in this state is really hard for me. I used to know her as a confident, cheerful and clumsy girl but now all that has changed. It has become worse with all the rumours saying that Marinette planned for that to happen or that she did all this on purpose.

I have actually made a mental note to myself to make sure "Lie-la" suffers from what she have done to Marinette.

I was disturbed from my train of thoughts when Marinette started to speak.

"Sorry you guys had to see me like this" she paused then continued "it's just everything that happened that night keeps replaying in my head and whenever I see his face or even think about him" she tried to not cry while saying it but she couldn't. New batch of tears started flowing out.

"everything...just you know ..comes back" she said while crying.

< Flashback > 

They were all in Chloe's room talking about the night they were waiting for their whole life. It was prom night and Marinette, Chloe and Alya all had dates to the prom. Nathaniel asked Chloe to go with him, Nino asked alya and Adrien asked Marinette.  

"Hey Chloe what time is it ? Just asking so that we don't have to rush to get ready." Alya asked.

"Oh Alya. Chill its not like its already 5 and we have two hours to get ready" Actually it was already 5:30 p.m. but they did not realize it. Chloe checked the time on her phone anyway and screamed when she saw the time.

"Chloe what happen ?" Marinette asked clearly shaken by her scream but when she saw the time she had the same facial expression as Chloe did. Marinette told Alya the time and they all rushed to wear the dresses that Marinette made, wear their make up and do their hair. Their dresses looked so magnificent that Alya was sure the boys were going to gawk at them.

-Time skip-

The guys arrived in Adrien's limo and as expected all of them was standing there dumbfounded by the girls. The girls on the other hand was trying hard not to become like a tomato from seeing how hot the guys were. 

"You look gorgeous" Adrien said which made Marinette blush.

" And you look stunning Chloe" Nathaniel whispered in Chloe's ears

Nino tried to talk but was still speechless so Alya being Alya said to him "Close your mouth Nino, you might catch flies." After that being said they all burst out laughing because Nino actually looked like a tomato.

The ride to school was not long. They entered with their dates and saw some students already dancing. It was one hell of night. Before a slow song started to play, Marinette excused herself to go to the bathroom. Seeing this Lila took the chance to go to Adrien and make it seem like he is cheating on Marinette. 

"Hi Adrien" Lila said.

"Hi Lila. Where is your date ?" Adrien asked not knowing what's going to happen.

"Oh I don't have a date. That's why I came to ask you if you wanted to dance ?" Lila asked.

"Sorry Lila I already have a date and I was going to dance with her." Adrien answered Lila. Lila already knew he would decline but she just had to buy some time until Marinette gets here. Suddenly Lila lunged herself forward to kiss Adrien. Adrien was shocked as to what was happening and didn't push Lila away.

At the same moment Marinette had came back from the bathroom but was immediately heartbroken when she saw the scene in front of her unfold.

"A-Adrien" her voice came out croaky.

Marinette ran out of the school not wanting to stay there aymore. Adrien finally managed to push Lila away and ran while calling Marinette's name.

"MARI!! MARI STOP! I SWEAR IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!" Adrien shouted to make Marinette stop.

"NO! GO AWAY ADRIEN I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU!" Marinette said to Adrien clearly mad and very hurt.

Marinette was now in the middle of the road trying to stop herself from crying. She did not notice that a car was coming and was going to hit her. Adrien came out of school saw the car.

He shouted "MARI GET OUT OF THE WAY! RUN MARI!" 

Marinette turned her head and stood there frozen as though bracing herself to get  hit. She could hear Adrien shouting at the back of her. She just closed her eyes to get hit but then she felt someone pushed her out of the way.

BOOM! 

A loud hit was heard that made everyone in the school running out. All eyes were on Marinette and Adrien's body who was just lying limp on the road with blood flowing out of his head. Marinette had opened her eyes and saw everyone crowding them. She saw the body of the  person who had pushed her and realize it was Adrien. Hot tears started to stain Marinette's face as she crawled to where Adrien's body was. 

"Why Adrien! WHY DID YOU DO THIS ?!" Marinette asked him the she heard Adrien voice.

" Because I love you Mari" Adrien said faintly then going unconcious. Marinette cried so hard after that and the ambulance came to take Adrien to the hospital.

< End of flashback >

Those were the last words to Marinette Adrien had said. She never heard his voice again.
