The band Irusu is up and coming in Tokyo.

A punk rock, post-grunge alternative band, they find inspiration from the outstanding American bands Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam, adding their own twists and turns into the genre.

Once performing in cheap bars and lounges, they've been scouted and signed by one of the biggest names in Japan. However, they're taking it slow, and aren't touring for another 6 months and are continuing appearances in small venues.

The band consists of four incredibly talented and successful men:

Kenma Kozume is the lead vocalist. He has a Masters Degree in video game design. In his free time, he uploads gaming videos for YouTube, tests video games with Nintendo, and acts as a design consultant for Fantasy Games. He works for the creators of Neko Atsume and has his own games being developed to be sold.
"I don't really like working with people.... I mean, real people at least."

Kuroo Tetsurou is the band's bassist. Surprisingly, Kuroo is a high scoring individual and has a doctorate in psychology. He's one of the few people in the world with such a degree at his age. "Y'know, being manipulative and provoking people can be bad, but I've decided to make good use out of my wit."

Tsukishima Kei shreds the lead guitar.
Not only is he a guitar genius, but he also is an engineering genius. He graduated with an engineering masters before Kuroo even received his. He's currently working with Apple on the newest iPhone.
"I may not be very creative, but I'm intelligent, and very good with my hands."

Oikawa Tooru is the one who can make a heart drop and the beat. His obsession with aliens drove him to pursue a career in astronomy. Ever since he injured his knee in college, Oikawa has been training furiously to master the drums due to the lack of volleyball to fill his time. Often during shows, he does silly tricks with his sticks and accidentally breaks them.
"It really helps to have a few spare on me at all times."

Their instruments are quite interesting as well.

Kenma cannot do much with his microphone, but he only uses black condensers.
"I just kinda like the way it looks..."

Kuroo's jagstang bass is all matte black and covered with stickers as if it were a skateboard.
"I love the way it plays, I can feel it."

Tsukishima uses an old and beat up acrylic fender stratocaster with new strings all the time.
"I like my guitar to be in its best state."

Oikawa's drum set is shiny and new, and every last piece is black like the night with a holographic shine. He prefers his Huntington set above any others.
"All instruments sound different. Every single guitar has a different tune, and every drum has a different beat."
