Epilogue

BarakAllahu feekum to all the love that you all have showered upon me and to the book. I know it took you all a lot of patience to stick with me since I had been very slow with the updates and I feel immense gratitude towards you all.

Today I mark the end of irrevocably in love. I had planned this book, when I had started with Rehan's character in irresistibly in love without a name to his book. I know I broke a lot of hearts when I did not let the ship sail of Farheen and Rehan but this is the truth of life. Not always do we get what we want and I wanted someone like Rida for Rehan; who would understand his silence more than words rather than someone who would tease him, fight with him because Rehan had gone through a lot of pain in his life which Farheen couldn't understand because she always had her life settled, whereas for Rida, she suffered through a household which was nothing like fairytale.

I don't say Farheen was immature for Rehan, but she wasn't the right one for him and I hope you all understand the point.

Abu Hurairah RA reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu' alayhi was sallam) said: "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'I have no reward except Jannah for a believing slave of Mine who shows patience and anticipates My reward when I take away his favourite one from the inhabitants of the world.'"

(Bukhari)

11 years later

Rehan groaned in his sleep, moving his head to the other side to avoid the rain fall on his face but instead the water droplets once again made their contact with his face making him scoff, but a smile made its way on his lips when he heard a familiar girly voice giggling. With eyes closed, he caught hold of her hand and started tickling her, to hear her melodious laugh that always brighten his day.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry," She yelled in between her laughs making him to stop his act before slightly pecking his forehead, "Good morning my love." He whispered getting up while letting her hop on his back.

"Dad, your schedule for today is made by me and no work today," She said kissing his cheeks continuously as a mean to make him ready for her plan, and he rolled his eyes before nodding his head while she squealed in delight.

"So what is our schedule?" Rehan questioned making her sit down on the kitchen counter while moving around to prepare breakfast, "Let me get it." She said rushing out of the kitchen while Rehan looked at her worriedly, of her being getting hurt.

"Okay, First Fajr done," She said ticking it with a pen while Rehan gave her a thumbs up before opening the packet of bread, "Picking up roses on our way to meet mum," She said and he grinned nodding his head at her before kissing her forehead.

"And finally we are visiting Saif Chachu that's it." She said and Rehan looked up at her astonished, her dark brown eyes filled with happiness making him smile at her.

"Okay, now like my good girl have your breakfast while I get dressed and be back in 10 minutes," He said keeping a plate full of bread and omelet with a glass of milk in front of her and she made faces looking at the milk but simply nodded her head, "Ohkay." She said and patting her cheek Rehan walked up to his room.

Inhaling his love's fragrance, he walked into his room a smile lingering on his face. Changing into his casuals, he walked down to find his daughter already waiting for him in the living room, his breakfast on the table.

"Lets leave," He said but she shook her head and instead pulled him down letting him seat while feeding him, "I have learnt from you that skipping breakfast is bad." She said grinning at him while he ruffled her hair, eating quietly.

"I will keep the plate into the sink," She said and carefully took the empty plate and mug into the kitchen while Rehan checked notification from his work, "Dad come on we are getting late." She said and getting hold of his hand she dragged him out with him, while he quietly followed her.

Buckling her in her seat, he walked towards the driver's seat, starting the engine.

"So what colour roses should we get today?" Rehan asked and she thought about it for a while before exclaiming "Red!"

"As you say," He said and stopped in front of their daily stop, to get the flowers, "I'll be right back." With that he walked away while she gazed at her father talking politely to the old man who handed him the flowers, spreading a smile on her face.

"Here we go," Rehan said placing the bouquet in her lap while she slowly caressed it before kissing every rose making Rehan to admire her, "Mamma would be very happy." She whispered her eyes on the flowers while Rehan nodded his head unable to answer her.

The rest of the ride, the two spoke about her school when Rehan stopped the car making her to glance up, " I will be very quick, okay?" He said taking the roses and she smiled nodding his head. She gazed at her father walking towards the guard, asking him to look after her, his usual habit despite her denial.

Rehan walked inside, looking around at the few people, some entering with him while some making their way out. Walking carefully, he glanced at his destination that rested right in front of him. With a smile he sat down, caressing the name of his love softly.

"Assalamualaikum love," He whispered keeping the roses on the grave of his love, Rida, "I pray that you are happy and at peace."

After everything had fallen in place, Rehan and Rida spent the next year in happiness and their happiness doubled when they found out about Rida's pregnancy. Everyone had been very much happy since Safa too had announced her second pregnancy making the four friends to celebrate. Safa went into early labor, once again giving birth to a healthy baby boy, while on the other hand Rida lost her life after giving birth to their daughter.

"I cannot spend much time, our daughter is waiting for me outside, and she has said her salaam to you," He spoke and getting up he raised his hands up in the air, "May Allah forgive all your sins, have mercy upon you and grant you jannat ul firdous." He made Dua, glancing down one last time before whispering, "I love you."

Turning he walked few steps to only halt, once again moving back with soft steps, "Shifa loves you too," He said and looked down at her name for a few seconds, letting the tear escape his eyes. With a smile he turned around to walk to his life that waited for him.

"You said my salaam and love?" Shifa asked as soon as she saw her father entering the car. Rehan face palmed himself, pretending to have forgotten to only get a glare in return, "You told her you love her but not me, right?" She questioned folding her hands and before he could even say something he found her unbuckling herself making him chuckle at her tactics.

"I told mamma that you love her very much, more than me." He said and she slowly lifted her eyelashes to look at him who had a smile on his face making her grin, "I love you so much but I know you love mamma more than me." She stated and he raised his eyebrows at her questioning her.

"That's-" Before he could complete his statement, his phone rang and he turned his phone showing her the caller id. Grinning she took the phone, while Rehan started driving hearing his daughter talk animatingly to the person on the other side.

"Who was it?" He asked when Shifa ended the call, "Sani appi, she was saying that everyone has reached except us." She said and he nodded his head at her.

Engrossed in talking, Rehan pulled the car into his usual parking area, finding familiar cars already parked. He unbuckled Shifa, pulling her over him to only have her squeal in excitement making him grin. Carrying her in his arm he walked inside while she pleaded him to let her down.

"Dad I am a big girl now," She said and tried getting down making Rehan to look at her with amused eyes, "But you still cry looking at a lizard." They heard a voice and Rehan was surprised to see the dramatic sigh by her daughter.

"Sorry dad," With that said she forced herself down making Rehan to bend a little while she ran furiously to the boy who had called for it making him laugh while he rushed around the room with Shifa following her.

"Rihab, don't trouble her." Rehan looked at Sani who walked inside, running towards Rehan and he hugged her greeting her. Even though Shifa was his and Rida's first born they considered Sani their first child.

"How are you?" Sani asked and Rehan smirked pulling his collar up while Sani giggled making him grin at her.

"Where's everyone else?" He asked and she pointed towards the backyard, and as he was about to make his way out he found Rihab and Shifa were engrossed playing games on his phone that he had left with shifa making him shake his head.

"Oh please, don't make me hit you Faiz," As soon as he stepped into the backyard he heard Faiza's loud voice while everyone completely ignored her, "I can surely help you with that." Rehan remarked and walked towards Saif hitting him on his back making him glare at his best friend.

"You are late," Saif whispered but one look from Rehan and he already knew the answer, "Yes, now nobody can save you." Faiza said poking her tongue out while Rehan grinned at her giving her a thumbs up.

"Don't forget in the end you are coming to our house," Faiz said giving her a bored look, once again glancing at his phone, "Dang it! I wish I hadn't married you." Faiza mumbled sitting down while Rehan and Saif chuckled earning a glare in return.

"Sucks that you already are," Faiz said and before Faiza could start a fight Safa walked in with Farheen, Rehan greeting them.

"Rehan how are you? You haven't been visiting us regularly." Safa said handing him a plate full of snacks which he gratefully took

"Bhabhi, work has been difficult from the past few days," He said and Safa nodded her head grinning at him.

"Assalamualaikum, missed me people?" They heard Kaif walking in with his brother and sister in law who were polite.

"Walaikumassalam, I didn't even realise you were missing," Rehan teased making Kaif to roll his eyes but before he could say something he heard his daughter's voice making him shut his eyes. Standing up he walked back while the rest laughed at his condition.

"How did we all end up like this?" Faiza mumbled and everyone looked at her with raised brows not understanding her point, " I meant married with kids. I still remember when Sani was born we all were single and enjoying our life." She said looking around and Faiz raised his brow at her, "I mean like, nevermind drop the topic." She said looking at the challenging look her husband passed her while Farheen stood up making every eye to turn to her.

Kaif passed their 5 years old daughter to her, mumbling something to only earn a glare in response, "Its you who have spoiled her so don't blame me." She said and Kaif nodded his head before taking a seat besides a chuckling Rehan.

"Tired?" Rehan asked looking at the dark circles under his eyes while Kaif nodded his head.

Kaif and Farheen got married by their parent's will. Farheen had moved on in her life, she had realised that she would never get the love from Rehan she had expected and she believed that her Lord had something better planned for her and she was glad that she had found her partner in Kaif. She had confessed about her love for Rehan to him and instead of being a noisy husband, he had supported her to move on not revealing her secret to anyone, not even Rehan. With slow steps, she found Kaif making his place in her life with his patient behaviour finally letting her to completely give in. And now she was happy with her husband and daughter, kainat.

"Where is Minaz?" Rehan asked when he found her missing taking out his phone to call her, "Your dad is coming today so she and Yunus have gone to collect him." Saif said and Rehan nodded his head giving him a small smile.

While Rida was pregnant she had asked Rehan to forgive his father and start a new life but before he could do that he had lost her but he still had granted her wish. He had pulled back the case, asking Minaz too to do the same but her mother, was sent to the mental asylum due to unstable mind. Saif too had accepted Rehan's father and forgiven him because that was the least he could do for his best friend who had been with him for his entire life, protecting him.

Minaz and Yunus fell in love when they were in high school and since Minaz shared a good bond with Rida, she had expressed her feelings to Rida scared of Rehan's reaction but instead he had been supportive and finally after graduation two years back, Yunus asked for her hand in marriage for which Rehan happily agreed.

Rehan glanced at Faiz and Faiza, with a smile remembering how Rida had caught Faiz staring at Faiza, and putting the two together she had so perfectly tricked him about Faiza getting married to someone else and the next day they had found Faiz with his parents on their doorstep expressing his love for her. Faiza was embarassed, of how he had without any hesitation said I love you to her in front of the elders, her family looking at him in amusement. He still had the recording, that was done by Rida reminding him of all the beautiful memories.

"Dad!" Rehan was brought out of his thoughts when he noticed Shifa running to him with Rihab following her. She glared at the boy, who rolled his eyes at her before turning to her father with a wide grin.

"He is saying that he can lift the flower pot, tell him that you can lift something much heavier than that!" She exclaimed and he looked between the two, Rihab smirking at her. Rehan looked at Saif who was narrowing his eyes at his son, turning his eyes to Rehan for an answer.

"Yes I have lifted something much heavier than that," Rehan said giving her a smile and she grinned widely turning to Rihab poking her tongue out, "Tell him what it was." Shifa demanded her eyes still on Rihab who looked at Rehan.

"It was the lightest weight I had lifted yet the heaviest to my heart; your mother's coffin," Rehan said softly and Shifa turned to her not understanding what he had said, "Was mamma that heavy?" She asked and he chuckled shaking his head, not knowing how to explain it to her.

Taking her in his arms, he kissed her forehead, while she waited for an answer, "You will understand when you grow up." He said and she opened her mouth to protest but Rihab pulled her with him, leaving an eerie silence around.

Rehan looked around, everyone giving him soft looks while he smiled at them excusing himself.

He walked inside finding the kids playing in the leaving area making him smile. He walked upstairs, to the room that once belonged to him and Rida in this house. Whenever they would spent the night at Saif's place on Safa's insistence, they would stay in this room. Rida loved the room for it was the smallest in the house making her feel much comfortable. Stepping in, a smile made its way to his lips. He walked to the balcony, making the warm morning breeze to hit him, feeling Rida's presence.

He closed his eyes, feeling her close to him. Even though he had lost her for 9 years now, not even a single minute would pass where he wouldn't remember her. She might have left him but she had blessed him the most precious gift of his life, his Shifa. When he had broken down hearing her death she had been the remedy to his broken soul.

As her face flashed in front of his face, a smile made its way to his lips making him whisper, "You never left me Rida, you are within me; in my prayers, in my thoughts, in my dreams and always in my heart. I pray to reunite with you Jannah, Insha Allah."

Life is a journey surely uncertain. At every certain stage there are people who will be left behind but there are some; who even if left, stay in your heart, in your prayers. This life is nothing but a journey from Allah to Allah, this Dunya is a temporary visit where you are ought to find people who remind of you of the creator so that when you go back, you have people who pray for you, and pary to be with you in the hereafter.
