Chapter 28

They (your wives) are a clothing (covering) for you, and you too are a clothing (covering) for them.
Surah Al-Baqarah- 2:187

***

Rida was decked up in a light coloured gown that was fully covered with lots of sequins and Rhine stones all around the dress. It was way too heavy for Rida’s liking and she was getting uncomfortable with the dress but she couldn’t help upset her parents. Rida had simply worn a plain hijab making the gown look more attractive. Her make-up was kept light as Rida had preferred but with a dark lipstick making her glow despite her denial. The only thing Rida loved was that she had not worn any jewellery except the rings that were of Rehan’s name for her. From the time it was on her fingers she had never removed it till date and she made sure about it.

She took the box that she had kept on her bed given by her husband last night. As she was about to open it, her cousin had pulled her back to sleep not letting her see what was in it and it had completely slipped her mind with all tears she had been sheading from the time she had woken up. With shivering hands, she opened the box, her eyes widening at the metallic bracelet that was in it. It was a simple platinum bracelet with four hearts hanging on it making it look extremely delicate. She took it in her hand, caressing it a little with her thumb a smile making its way on her lips. She slowly kept in on her left hand, trying her best to wear it without letting the delicate non-living object to fall from her hand. After several attempts of failure, she finally succeeded in wearing it making it look more delicate on her fragile hand.

Smiling at the bracelet, she looked around the room the smile vanishing and a lump forming in her throat. She was glad for being left alone as everyone were now getting dressed in some or the other room, giving the privacy the bride asked for. She was excited to start her married life with her husband, who was nothing but a pure soul and always making her feel at ease. She knew that she would never regret marrying Rehan even an ounce but she couldn’t help but feel sad for leaving behind her parents, her sister, her family.

She looked at her mehendi that had turned maroon, almost black and couldn’t help blush going back to what her aunt had said,

“Masha Allah the colour of the henna has come out so well, probably because Rehan loves our Rida very much.”

And with that all her cousins had started teasing her making her go red due to shyness while her mother had cried in joy looking at her.

She recollected all the memories that she ever had in this house, with her family. She wouldn’t forget any memory for they were etched in her heart forever and as she steps out of the house, ready to start her life with her husband there would be many more memories that she would keep close to her heart, with her family; her Rehan and their kids.

She covered her face in her palm at her own thoughts, the smile never leaving her face.

“Ahem.” She heard a cough startling her. She removed her hand to see Aafia walking inside removing her niqaab. Rida smiled at her, a shy smile looking at the smirk that was being passed to her.

“Thinking about Rehan?” Aafia asked and Rida was quick enough to shake her head, the smile lying all the while.

“No, just recollecting the memories with everyone.” She said and Aafia looked at her who was trying her best to avoid eye contact. Aafia nodded her head still not believing her friend but kept her mouth shut.

They both sat in silence, neither of them speaking both lost in their own thoughts. While Aafia felt herself getting emotional looking at her friend who looked extremely gorgeous in her bridal dress, there was Rida who felt the same.

“I’ll miss you.” Aafia said her voice cracking having a distance look while that was what was needed for the bride to cry like a baby.

Rida had been crying the whole day today, while hugging her mother when she had come to talk to her or when she had simply seen her father standing a far with her mother, looking at her with unshed tears or when Faiza had walked inside her room planning to tease her but as soon as she saw her sister’s bulged eyes she had cried her heart out hiding in her arms while Rida had laughed her tears streaming down her face.

She kept her palm on her face, covering her face weeping once again, while Aafia hurriedly stood up from her place taking her in her embrace and Rida was quick enough to wrap her arms around her hugging her, while crying bitterly. Aafia felt her own tears making their way down her cheeks which she did not wipe.

They parted away after their tears had subsided. Rida wiped her face with the back of her hand, smiling a little at Aafia who was wiping her tears too. Just as they were done, they heard the click of the door and Aafia hurriedly wore her niqaab to only remove it to see Rida’s cousins walking inside while eyeing the two girls.

“What were you both doing?” Nabila asked and before they could ask anything further, Faiza ran inside informing the girls about their departure. They hurriedly adjusted Rida’s hijab and after giving her a quick touch-up, they walked her downstairs. Faiza and Aafia helped her with her dress for which she was very grateful as she knew she would end up embarrassing herself while tripping on it.

Safa had stuck to be from Rehan’s side and Rida had not objected for she knew how much Saif mattered to Rehan and Saif wouldn’t leave his pregnant wife away from his eyes.

They settled themselves in the car, Rida begging the two girls to be with her throughout as she could already see the tension building within her. She felt nervous thinking about the thousand people who would be staring at her and would gossip. She knew she did not look beautiful like her other friends but she wanted to look her best today, not for herself but for her husband.

They had almost reached the venue when Rida clutched on Aafia’s hand, her eyes pleading her to take her back home. Aafia gave her an assuring glance, while glancing outside to see Rehan’s car making its way behind them. She smiled at Safa who sat with Saif in the front while Rida tried glancing outside to see Safa waving at her. Both the car reached together, parking a little away from one other as the bride and groom made their way out.

Faiza extended her hand to her sister, that she gladly accepted and Rida looked at her proudly who had given her a beautiful surprise in the form of hijab. Faiza was the first one to dress up and walk towards Rida giving her, her wedding gift and it was a surprise for Rida to see her sister in hijab. Faiza knew how her sister loved when she would wear hijab so today she had decided to start hijab, not just for her sister but for herself too.

Rehan got down with his never-leaving smile on his face. His eyes shined with so much happiness that everyone could see through it. He turned around to his wife walking with the help of Faiza. He couldn’t help admire the beauty walking towards her. He had never seen someone so beautiful inside and out and he was proud that this beauty was his.

He was so lost in admiring her that he forgot about the people surrounding them. Rida stood in front of him with her eyes casted down while her prince charming’s eyes on her. Everyone laughed looking at Rehan bringing him out of his day dreams making him to ruffle his hair in embarrassment. Rida could hear her heart thumping rapidly in her chest with the existence of the person standing in front of her. She tightened her hold on Faiza, who was smirking at the nervous Rehan.

“Rehan bhai I know my appi is looking way beautiful but right now there are guests that needs our attention. You can stare at this girl all your life.” Faiza exclaimed her lips curving up in a beautiful smile looking at the way Rehan was gazing at her sister.

Without any other word, Rehan extended his hand towards Rida while she started biting her lips in nervousness. Faiza moved Rida’s hand and slowly kept in his hold moving away from the two and Rida could already feel herself getting tensed. She spared a side glance to realise that her entire family was waiting for them to move. She slowly looked at Rehan through her eyelashes that instantly smiled at her and interlocked their fingers.

“Shall we?” Saif asked looking at Rehan, who had his entire attention on his wife while Saif himself had his arms wrapped around Safa securely who was admiring the couple.

Rida slowly nodded her head and they started walking towards the entrance. The entire pathway was decorated beautiful, with flowers and lights while there were girls standing on the either side with rose petals in a plate. As soon as they stepped in, the girls started showering the petals on the couple followed by their family.

Rehan had his entire gaze on Rida who was trying her best to walk without tripping, Faiza holding her dress from behind that helped her a little. Smiling he turned his attention in front to only have his eyes wide in surprise. The pathway ahead was separated into different areas making it a separate wedding. He stopped in his track making Rida to do so.

She looked at Rehan confused who stood rooted to his spot making her turn her attention to where he had his eyes locked. She herself was surprised looking at the separate paths.

“I always knew Rida wanted such wedding, so I told Saif to do it this way.” Safa said looking at her husband who hardly looked anything but pleased. Rehan smiled at his bhabhi’s thoughtful nature towards his wife while Rida couldn’t help but admire her friend who was now poking her husband trying to make him smile.

“As much as I wanted this to not happen, I did this just because it’s your day.” Saif said looking at Rehan who appreciated his move, while grinning at Safa who smiled at him.
Saif did not like the idea of separate wedding but with time he had realised that it is islamically much more important to distance from unnecessary gatherings with the non-mehram but he wouldn’t agree that he liked it solely because for that he now had to stay away from his wife, for at least 3 hours.

Rehan nodded his head at Saif and started walking, slightly making his hold loosen on Rida for they now had separate paths. He looked at her face as if memorising her face for the next three hours but he wasn’t satisfied. Sighing he looked around the people around the place and slowly left her hand, both now moving in the same direction but with a cloth in between them. It was tall enough to not let anyone have even a single glance of the other side.

Muttering a 'Bismillah' Rida climbed the stage her support systems walking with her making her feel grateful. She was made to sit on the huge decorated seat while Faiza and Aafia arranged her dress. She raised her head a little to look ahead to see Safa just near the stage smiling at her giving her an assuring look. She smiled gaining a little courage but as soon as her eyes fell on the hundreds of ladies present, all their eyes darted on her she felt her courage deteriorating. She almost wobbly tried getting up gaining Faiza’s attention making her understand her worry.

Faiza sat down next to Rida taking her hand in her own calming her a bit. Rida shook her head almost pleading her with her eyes to take her away but when she looked at Aafia and her cousins surrounding her trying to calm her, she meekly nodded tightening her hold on Faiza making her know that she was not going to leave her hand anytime soon.

Rehan looked at the men present around the hall while Faiz, Kaif and Saif were with him on the stage. They were talking to him when the men’s started approaching him to congratulate him. Faiz moved to the side while Saif and Kaif walked down letting him know that they would be looking after the guest. Faiz looked at Rehan who had a smile on his face. He knew the two were meant to end up together and he was glad that they were together without any hustles.

The couple were showered with immense blessings and gifts throughout the night and by the time they were called for dinner almost half the people had left. Rida sat down her legs tiring her for standing almost the entire time. She had hardly had anything before coming to the hall and she regretted it the moment the ladies had started walking up to meet her. She was glad that she would get to drink in between but with so many people she felt self-conscious making her to just take a sip or two.

Rida looked at her friends and cousins who now were walking up to her talking and giggling to each other. She stood up from her place very well knowing the reason behind their arrival. Everyone started clicking pictures with the bride; some asking to pose while some candid. Safa and Aafia almost took all the pictures being candid since they couldn’t help tease Rida who tried hiding her blush. Rida looked for Faiza who had disappeared just at the perfect moment. Just as she was about to ask about her, she noticed Faiza walking up the stage informing everyone about the tables being set up for the family.

Everyone walked down while Aafia and Faiza helped Rida while Farheen held Safa climb down the stage. The tables were set in two sets, while one being for the bride and groom with their friends the other was set for the elders. Safa looked at the arrangement and smiled at her husband’s thoughtful mind.

Aafia made Rida sit on one of the chair while Faiza sat on her left and smirking she took a seat on her right. Safa sat down in front of Rida winking at Aafia and turning around to see the boys walking towards the table.

Rehan looked ahead to see his wife sitting in between Faiza and Aafia making him to raise his eyebrow at them. He turned to Saif to see him taking a seat besides Safa while Faiz and Kaif too sat down with the rest of Rida’s cousin while he stood there not understanding.

“Rehan, what’s wrong? Come sit here.” Safa said and pointed to a chair at the end of the table and he looked at the chair and back at Rida. He smiled at Safa nodding his head and walking towards the chair half-heartedly. He was almost about to sit, mumbling things when he heard laughter.

Confused he looked up to see Aafia standing up from her place and asking him to take her seat which he was glad of. Smiling at his sister-in-law who was seated beside his wife giggling, he walked towards his wife and slowly took a seat ignoring all the teasing, his gaze on Rida who had her eyes casted down.

“Assalamualaikum,” He whispered moving a little towards her ear and she slowly lifted her head up turning to look at him opening her mouth to reply only to be interrupted by the fake coughs all around the table. She slowly replied to Rehan who smiled at her before turning to glare at Faiz, who had now shuffled his seat with one of Rida’s cousin, beside him poking him in his waist.

“What?” He asked annoyed nodding at the waiter that waited near him to serve him food. After thanking him he looked at Faiz for some answer to only see him busy gobbling the food making Rehan to shake his hand.

He turned his head to Rida to see her food still untouched while she whispered something to Faiza. He looked around the table to see everyone now had their food in front of them while their eyes on the couple.

“What are you guys waiting for?” Rehan asked gaining Rida’s attention and she looked at him who had his eyebrow raised looking in front of him. Rida looked around the table to see everyone giving them a cheeky smile and she almost wished her thoughts to be wrong.

“Feed your wife.” Safa demanded and Rehan furrowed his eyebrow while Rida closed her eyes shut.

While the three friends were young they had started with this trend of making the groom and bride feed each other. Every time anyone from the three families would get married, they would force it onto the couple and thus from then on it was a tradition that the youngsters had started following.

She glared at Safa asking her to keep her mouth shut with her eyes wide. From the corner of her eye she noticed Rehan glancing between the two friends’ for some explanation and understanding his query Faiza explained to him about the trend the three friends had set up in the family. Rehan nodded his head in understanding his moth forming an ‘o’.

Smirking a little he gazed at Rida to notice her biting her lip while avoiding looking at him. He looked around the table to see everyone waiting for him to do the given task. Taking a handful of morsel he mixed it with the chicken and moved it towards Rida. Rida’s eyes flickered over to Rehan’s hand making her eyes to go wide at the realisation that instead of feeding her through a spoon he had opted for making her eat through his hand. She looked up to see Safa giving her a smirk while asking her to eat. She looked at Rehan who was gazing at her with his eyes shining with mischief. She slowly moved forward, blood rushing to her cheeks as soon as her lips touched his fingers. She could hardly take the entire morsel making few rice grains to fall that was caught by Rehan. She pushed the rice that was stuck on her lip through her left hand.

“Now Rida it’s your turn and make it fast, I and my baby are hungry.” Safa said pouting a little looking at her bump while holding it making everyone to laugh while Rida gulped feeling herself getting nervous. Just as she took the spoon ready to feed him when she heard Faiz,

“That’s not fair appi, he fed you with your hand and you are feeding him with a spoon?” She looked at Faiz and then glanced at Rehan who smirked nodding his head. Without uttering anything she kept the spoon down.

With shivering hand, she slowly raised it to his lips her eyes moving to his face to see a smile plastered on his lips. He leaned into take her fingers in his mouth his eyes never leaving her face while she caught hold of her breath when she felt him moving. He took the morsel of the rice in his mouth not moving away while she slowly tried pulling her hand away. She gasped a little when she felt his teeth on her fingers biting her softly. She looked at him to see him pulling away with a proud smirk on his face making her cheeks to flush. She hurriedly turned her head away from him looking at the audience to see them engrossed having in their food making her sigh. She took a bite of a tortilla to only flush more at the thought of having it from the same place that he had just bitten.

Rehan couldn’t let go of the smirk that was etched on his face with his victorious move. He glanced at Rida to see her flushed figure silently having her food when his eyes flicked over to her left hand that was placed on her lap. The smirk on his face increased as an idea popped up in his mind. He glanced at his left side of the table to see a jug of water kept a little away. Turning to his glass of water, he drank the water in a single breath taking a deep breath at the end. He wiped his right hand and moved forward in an attempt of taking the jug slowly slipping his left hand on Rida’s lap trying to take her left hand in his hold making her to choke on the food.

Everyone turned their attention to Rida who took a sip of water that was offered by Faiza while Rehan looked at her with worried eyes his hand still on hers.

“Rida, are you alright?” Safa asked looking at her with concern and she nodded her head without uttering any word. After making sure the bride was alright, they resumed their food while Rida turned to Rehan to see him giving her a naughty smile while mumbling a sorry. Shaking her head she turned to have her food when she realised that he was slowly pulling her left hand on her right lap. Her eyes widen and she tried pulling it out from his hold but his hold was stronger. She turned to him pleading to leave her hand but he paid no heed to her pleading while having his food joining the boys in a conversation.

Accepting her defeat she continued having her food without joining in any conversation for her entire attention was on their hands. He would caress it from time to time teasing her almost making her to lose her calm and she was very sure of Faiza hearing the loud thudding of her heart.

Finally with several topics as conversation and teasing the newly wedded couple and girly giggles everyone completed having their meal only when Kaif’s mother came personally to inform them about the long time they had been taking to have a simple dinner. Everyone walked towards the main stage where the bride and groom were made to sit, the bride’s side performing a ritual before sending off the bride to her new home.

One by one everyone applied the sandal water on Rida’s palm hugging her with tears in her eyes. Rida had been crying non-stop while hugging each one of her family member. Her mother once again advising her about being a good wife and her sister tried lightening the atmosphere with cracking a joke but failing miserably. Some relatives too joined the ritual, all of them speaking something or the other while Rida would just nod her head and the groom just gazed at Rida who had her head lowered tears streaming down her face.

Done with the ritual, Rida was made to stand with the help of Faiza who tried pulling the dress from where it was stuck under the chair which Rehan was seated. Looking at them struggle with the dress he extended his hand for Rida to hold making everyone to go awe. Reddened a little she bite her lip while keeping her shivering hand in his making him smile wide. He interlocked their hands in a firm grip while turning to look at Faiza who gave him a thumb up before pretending to break her fingers on her head as an act of keeping the couple away from every evil eye making her parents to shake their head at her grandma behaviour.

They walked towards the exit, hand in hand Rehan being extra careful of Rida’s dress to not step on it. Saif opened the car door for the couple, while Rida hugged her parents one last time before walking to the car. Rehan helped her get in while keeping the dress properly; he closed the door turning to hug his father-in-law.

“Rehan, she is nothing less than a gem and she is extremely precious to me. Today I give her to you but remember my doors are always open for her if she ever feels like coming back but I also know that you wouldn’t let that day come, Insha Allah. Take care of her and never hurt her, my son.” He said his voice almost cracking looking at his daughter whose eyes now had fresh tears rolling down her cheeks.

“I will take care of her dad, she is now my life and I will do everything in me for her to keep her happy.” He said his shining as he indirectly confessed about his feeling, making him to nod his head while patting his shoulder.

After saying his salaam he walked to the other side of the car getting in, his entire attention on Rida who now waved at the family. Saif slowly pulled the car out of the venue, all the while Rida smiling at her family with unending tears while Rehan gazed at her. He felt his heart at pain looking at her cry and at that very moment he promised himself to never make her cry ever again.

As soon as her family was out of sight, Rida moved back in her seat wiping away her tears unaware of the eyes on her. Suddenly realising she slowly turned to her right to see her husband giving her a small smile making her to redden at her thoughts. She lowered her head biting her lip, recollecting all what her mother had told but failing miserably. She couldn’t think straight with the loud thudding of her heart and not to forget those intense eyes on her.

Rehan moved his hand on the seat keeping it on Rida’s hand making her to jump a little. She turned to him to see him giving her a soft smile which instantly made her relaxed. She smiled back at him before lowering her head lost in her own thoughts.
Neither of them of the four uttered any word while Saif concentrated on driving, Safa was exhausted to even utter a word and was trying to keep herself up. The newly wedded couple seems lost in their own thoughts, Rida gazing out of the window with Rehan’s gaze on her, their hands still the same.

Rida could hear her thoughts loud enough making her heart beat rapidly while her body shivering. She tried planning out the things she would when she would be alone with her husband, trying to maintain her calm cheering her own self but as soon as the well decorated house came in view, Rida felt all her calmness vanishing in thin air. She almost felt her hand shivering that was held by Rehan.

Rehan noticed the shivering of her hand making him understand her inner turmoil. Without uttering any word he tightened his hold on her making her glance at him that instantly brought peace to her.

“We are here.” Saif announced making Safa to glance back at the couple with a grin on her face. Rida gave her a small smile before Safa got down with the help of her husband.

Rehan himself got down while Rida opened the door adjusting her dress before keeping her left leg out to only be surprised looking at the extended hand. She looked back at Saif and Safa who waited for them busy talking to each other. With her head hung low, she kept her left hand in his while her other hand on her dress.

She gazed at the house in front of her, the house she had once been before but today she felt an unknown feeling developing in her chest.

“Shall we?” Rehan asked bringing Rida out of her thought and she nodded her head at him. They started walking, Safa and Saif leading them.
As soon as they reached the door with aching steps they were greeted with grinning faces. Rehan was surprised to see Safa’s entire family present at the door along with Kaif’s family and not to forget his sister-in-law who was arguing with Faiz trying to stand in front of him.

“WELCOME HOME,” Everyone yelled throwing their arms wide open making Safa and Saif to laugh at the dramatic scene. Saif held Safa through her arm, his gaze on the grinning Rehan, his own smile getting wider.

“JazakAllahu Khair, this is such a lovely surprise.” Rehan said turning to Safa who shrugged her shoulder while grinning at him.

“Well we had the invitations from both the sides so we took advantage. Being from the bride’s side during ruksati and now from the groom’s side welcoming you both.” Aman said fist bumping with Saqib who grinning making everyone to laugh.

“Well lucky people.” Saif remarked at his brother-in-law’s statement making him to give a proud smirk.

“Let me remove the evil eyes from you both before you step inside the house.” Kaif’s mother said bringing some red chillies making the family to shake their head at the desi totka.

Even after living her life in London, she had never left behind her Indian ideology that at some point annoyed the family but for her sake they would not utter anything.

Rehan looked as Kaif’s mother circled the red chillies around the couple, while Rida had her head hung low. After giving her blessings, she walked away to throw the chillies followed by the elders letting the kids have their demands.

“So who is taking the turn?” Noor asked looking in between the girls and everyone whispered before coming to a conclusion while Rehan stood there confused. He looked at Saif raising his eyebrow at him who shrugged his shoulder asking Safa about the plan while she filled in the details for him.
Sheerin moved forward rubbing her hands together a smirk on her lips.

“So my dear brother, you have to give me something or you won’t be allowed to enter the house.” She said making Rehan to raise his eyebrow at her. He glanced behind to see all the girls standing behind her nodding their head.

“What do you want?” He asked and she smirked looking at the girls who nodded their head at her giving her a thumb up.

“I want your daughter,” Sheerin said making Rehan’s eyes to widen. He looked behind at the girls who nodded their head at him making him turn his head at Rida who was silent with her head hung low.

“Why will I give you my daughter?” Rehan asked crossing his arms on his chest making the boys to applaud for him. He smirked at them before turning to Sheerin who shrugged her shoulder.

“It’s your call, you give me your daughter or you don’t enter, what say bhabhi?” Sheerin questioned Rida while she smiled a little at her making Rehan to glance at her.

“Are we giving her our daughter?” Rehan asked Rida his tone showing disbelief making her to suppress her laughter. She nodded her head making Rehan’s eyes to go wide.

“Okay as Rida says.” Rehan said with a smile on his face making the girls to squeal while the boys clapped.

“Since you will give me your daughter after her birth right now I need one lakh rupees, cash.” She demanded knowing very well that the amount was not a big deal for him. Rehan nodded his head and turned his head to Saif signalling him to hand over the money to the girls.

Saif pulled out the money and handed it over to Faiza who was instantly beside him to get the money making him shake his head.

“I don’t understand how Faiza is taking this money.” Saif spoke with a raised eyebrow making her smile cheekily at him.

“My sister-in-law is playing two games together.” Rehan said making Faiza to nod her head at him while she waved the bundle of money to let the girls allow the couple to enter.

Rehan caught hold of Rida’s hand despite her denial making everyone to cheer for the couple. Rida blushed a little at the teasing voice of everyone while Rehan seemed unaffected, a goofy smile on his face. The couple were made to sit on the couch letting them take a breath in relief. They had been tired and all they wanted to do was snuggle under their duvet.

One by one everyone walked towards the couple showering with lots of gift to them. Kaif and his family gave them a package to Paris with all the facilities despite Rehan’s denial. Safa and Saif handed them watches that connected each other through a small hook. Safa then separately made Rida to wear a gold ring as her brother-in-law’s wife.

“Welcome to the family.” Safa whispered making Rehan to almost choke on his saliva. He wished his family to be present with him on his best day but looking at Saif all those thoughts vanished away. He had a family; he had a best friend who was nothing less than a brother to him and a sister-in-law who looked after him just as his sister.

After every one were done with presenting the gifts to the couple, they were ready to retire to the bed but before they could even bring that thought up, Faiz walked towards them holding a huge bowl with milk in it. Rehan groaned realising that they now had to play the game and he was sure no one would listen to him.

Safa asked Rida to hand over the engagement ring to her and Safa threw the ring into the milk swirling it for a second before asking the couple to start finding the ring. They both put in their hand, both moving their hands all around to search for the ring. Rida had almost moved her hand at every corner for the ring when she felt Rehan’s hand holding her hand inside preventing her form not moving her hand. She turned to him with a shy smile to see him giving her a cheeky smile while everyone had their eyes on the bowl, eager to know who would win.

Rida turned her eyes down trying to free her hand and Rehan smirked looking at the trace of redness on her cheeks left her hand but not before slowly slipping the ring into her hand taking her by surprise. She turned to him with her eyes wide to only receive a wink in return that instantly brought a smile on her face. She pulled out the ring making the girls to cheer up for her while the boys groaned at the loss of the groom.

“No one can oppose this, Appi had always been ruling; before at her father’s place and now at her husband’s too, too lucky Appi.” Faiza remarked making Rida to roll her eyes at her.

“Now make her wear the ring.” Safa said and Rida kept the ring in Rehan’s palm that was spread out for her. She extended her right hand and he slipped the ring into her finger all the while his eyes on her face who wouldn’t meet his gaze.

While his eyes held her face, he could see his future in it. He could see his forever ever after with the love of his life who was now his everything.
