You promised to try your best in order to keep,Hope safe and hidden when The Mikealsons would go to battle the Strix.

ʻʻProtect her at all costsʼʼ Klaus had said to you before he reluctantly left.

ʻʻDon't let anything happen to my little girlʼʼ Hayley whispered before she followed after Klaus. Rebekah then led you to the hidden basement where you were to stay. As a human you frankly couldn't do much so the Mikealsons found it best that you stay hidden and keep Hope in your arms safe.

ʻʻI'm worried about my babyʼʼ You heard Hayley tell Rebekah. 

With Hope in your arms you walked upstairs and stood in corner,watching them. Rebekah placed her hand over Hayley's ʻʻY/n,will do the best to protect her. I'm sure of it.ʼʼ 

The two shared a look of comfort, before Elijah announced the arrival of the Strix. You rushed back down,locked the door and stayed at the very back of the room. Clutching baby Hope Mikealson close to you.

Time had passed since then and you could faintly hear some of the chaos like muffled grunts of pain from the Strix and booming yells from Klaus. Another piece of furniture broke and a groan echoed back.

ʻʻIt's going to be okay,Hopeʼʼ You softly whisper to the one year old. She bites her finger as she stares at you with her childlike eyes, when you hear a floorboard creak then someone jiggling the doorknob ʻʻShit!ʼʼ you gasp.

Three hours later

You were in a bed. who's? you were unsure of. You immediately shot up and Rebekah called out ʻʻY/n's awakeʼʼ her relieved tone echoed down the hall, throughout the compound and one by one the two Mikealson brothers emerged with Marcel,Josh, Hayley and... Hope nestled in her mother's arms.

ʻʻThank god. Hope's okayʼʼ You sigh staring at the baby you swore to protect.

ʻʻThanks to youʼʼ Klaus and Hayley say simultaneously.

ʻʻYou hid her,how?ʼʼ Rebekah confusedly asked.

You tiredly smirked ʻʻI had a dark object, figured it could be of some useʼʼ

The family chuckles. ʻʻThat was very smartʼʼ Marcel praises and you softly laugh but wince. ʻʻYou hurt yourself pretty goodʼʼ Hayley reminds you.

ʻʻYou should rest up. Fighting a vampire was not a good ideaʼʼ Elijah mentions.

ʻʻI had too. For her. I used the only dark object, Cami gave me. An amulet that cloaks the person using it. So I put it around Hope and left her in the makeshift crib,Rebekah made and lunged into combat. Stupid I know but who found me anyway?.ʼʼ

ʻʻWe all came down after to check on you twoʼʼ Rebekah says ʻʻYou were in a bloody messed up condition.ʼʼ

ʻʻIt had to be doneʼʼ You shrug and once again Klaus and Hayley express their gratitude towards you for protecting their daughter.

ʻʻGet some sleepʼʼ Klaus says with a delicate look before leaving.

ʻʻThank you for protecting my familyʼʼ Rebekah whispers after she checks up your scars. You refused the vampire blood so medical care was been done by,Rebekah since she did play nurse decades ago.

ʻʻYou're welcome,Beks.ʼʼ

ʻʻStay in bed orders from,Klausʼʼ Josh reminds in a playful tone.

ʻʻI know,I know. I'm bound here for a day or twoʼʼ You sigh dramatically and Josh promises to check up on you later before leaving the room. Rebekah, asks if you need anything else and when you say no, she smiles then leaves.

ʻʻYou better stay in that bloody bedʼʼ She calls out in a final warning and you sigh ʻʻYes boss or should I say bosses?.ʼʼ

ʻʻShut up! And sleep,Y/nʼʼ Hayley laughs out from downstairs.

ʻʻYeah yeahʼʼ you shoot back with a grin.
