A month has passed, and Claire hasn't made the call,
Her friends influenced her, but she always found a reason to stall.
To prevent the annoyance, she agreed to go,
Amanda didn't hesitate to let David know.

They agreed to meet up at 7 but David arrived from 6,
He replied in order to make the fire, you gotta first get the sticks.

He first took her on a stroll to get Ice-Cream,
Followed by Junk food, the American dream.

"You know, I actually thought you weren't gonna call."
David stated

"To be honest, I actually wasn't going to, but I'm glad I did."
Claire replied

"What changed your mind?"
He asked

"My friends"
She smiled

"I'm glad they did"
He added

"So otherwise from the newly graduated degreed Valedictorian, who is overwhelming gorgeous by the way, who is Claire?"
David asked

"Well, I'm actually Clarissa Martinez, but everyone just call me Claire except for my Mom who calls me Rissa. What about you?"
She giggled

"Oh wow, I'm actually Davian, Davian Delafrente, but everyone calls me David."
He replied

"Ouuu Mr.Delafrente, that has a ring to it"
She chuckled

"You have an amazing smile"
He complimented

"Thank you"
She blushed

"So tell me about your friends they seem to really care about you"
David stated

"They're the best, I met Mel in my first year as a Freshman and Manda has been my friend since I joined the Royal Ladies Partnership, we have been friends ever since"
She smiled

"I admire your friendship, your parents must be really proud of you."
He added

"They are especially my dad, he has been there every step of the way and Mom, don't let even start talking about Mom."
She replied

David smiled

"How about you, I know you work at Casear's Place but your parents must be proud that your trying right?"
She asked

"I really hope they are...."
He answered

"What do you mean?"
She enquired

"I'm actually an Orphan, my parents are unknown. All I know is I was dropped off by my Mom in a black Cadillac at the orphanage. No one would adopt me for unknown reasons, so when I became 18, Caesar took me in, I worked with him in the pizzeria and that's how I've been ever since."
He explained

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I ..... that must have been so hard for you, not knowing your parents. Have you ever tried looking for them?"
She asked

"I used to but it's like they never existed. All I know my father's name was Marcus Delafrente but there's no record of him, and as for my Mom.....I don't know much about her."
He replied

"I'm sorry."
She sympathized

"It's okay, Caesar has been the only parent I'll ever need."
He expressed

"You know, You're actually pretty cool, I'm not gonna lie, I really second guessed coming here tonight, but I'm glad I did."
She replied

"Lemme guess, esteem woman with a uneducated pizza boy, yeah I get the picture."
He stated

"No.... It's not like that....I just, I guess I've never actually met someone that's actually genuine you know."
She replied

"Listen, I'm not gonna look at you and tell you I don't wanna have sex with you, trust me I wanna put you in positions unimaginable, but at least I'm forward with it rather than blindly leading you on into something false that will inevitably benefit me but hurt you in the process. I believe you should be pampered, showered with kisses, treated like a queen, my head should go overboard when I don't see you for a day; all I'm saying is I wanna love you openly, freely and concietedly."
David expressed

"Wow, just wow...I don't know if I'm supposed to feel flattered or turned on right now."
Claire replied

"How about we find out over dinner?"
He asked

"What did you have in mind?"
She added

He explained that dining at a fancy restaurant, he had that in mind,
But he wanted to savour this moment, where we are free so leave the eloquence behind.

Across from the street, a Black Cadillac arrived, stayed for a few minutes and with a screeching speed away it drives.

They ditched the restaurant, had some french fries on the street,
Lost their minds at the carnival, what a unpredictable treat.
It was fun, Claire felt free,
Around him, herself was all she wanted to be.
Walking her back home, rain started to pour,
Instincts would urge them to run to her front door.

But they remained in the rain, feeling every drop on their face,
As the romantically kissed under the street lamp next to Caesar's Place.

~The Next Day~

"So how was it?"
Melissa asked

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but it was perfect."
Claire replied

"Ouuuuu, tell me all about it!! Did he take you to the french restaurant up the street, I'd die to go there"
Amanda replied

"Actually, the opposite. We just enjoyed the simplicity of life in a night. We shared Ice cream, at junk food, went wild at the carnival, get wet in the rain and might have kissed under a street lamp, which was kinda weird but totally romantic in a sense."
Claire answered

"Wait, you kissed him?
Melissa asked

"Yeah, I guess I did"
Claire replied

"Clarissa Angelique Martinez, kissed David?
As in the pizza boy David?
What happened to 'oh I'm a esteemed sophisticated woman, degreed at that..."
Melissa enquired

"I guess I misjudged him, I'm sorry but he's a really great guy, never in my life someone taken me on a date of such simplicity and made me feel so .... ME"
Claire added

"So we're not gonna acknowledge that she got wet and stayed in the rain, I wanna know who I'm talking to cause the Claire I know would be screaming about how her hair is ruined, not to mention those shoes."
Amanda stated

Claire laughed

"So on to to the good stuff.....Did you do it?"
Melissa asked

"Well after he kissed me and walked me home, I invited him in and a funny thing happened when I did."
Claire stated

"He picked you up, took you upstairs ripped the clothes off your body, threw you on the bed and made love to you like no one had ever do before?"
Amanda asked

"Ummm, quite the opposite. He said he won't be coming inside."
Clarie replied

"What!!"
Melissa exclaimed

"Yeah, he said that we both know what's gonna happen when he walk through those doors, he's gonna have me on the wall like a portrait waiting to be pinned, and trust me I was ready to be nailed to that wall; but he said he's not like that, he does wanna have sex with me on the first date, he wants that moment to be special because I have no idea of how special I am"
Claire added

"So you're telling me, that a dude asked you out, took you on the weirdest most romantically unplanned date of your life, took you home and didn't want to have sex with you?
Melissa questioned

"Yeah, my point exactly."
Claire replied

"That can only mean one thing"
Melissa replied

"Gay!!!!"
Amanda exclaimed

"What!!"
They both laughed

"He has to be gay, that's the only explanation I see, which dude doesn't  wanna get is tip wet after the first date?"
Amanda asked

"Obviously a genuine man who sees value within a woman and wanna ensure that that beautiful moment is not wasted on the first night. I gotta give it him, that's a true gentleman right there."
Melissa replied

"Yes he is"
Claire smiled

They went on and on, talking about David,
Discussing who would be the Godmother of their kid.
Claire reminisced on such an amazing night,
As for his pizza, she'd do anything for another bite.
