Kam's POV

Looking around and seeing how everyone was laughing, eating, and enjoying themselves, made me so happy. I think the mood swings are kicking in because I started crying. I tried to hide it, but Cris noticed.

"Sweetheart, are you okay? Why are you crying? Are you in pain? Do you need me to take you to the hospital?"

"Oh no, I'm fine. These are happy tears. I'm just looking at everyone and how they are happy for us." I started rubbing my belly. "I know it is only May, but I can't wait until these little ones are born."

Día and Rocco came running over, so Cris and I looked at each other and talked to them about the news.

"Guess what? You are going to be a big sister and brother."

"Another boy?" Rocco asked.

"We don't know yet. But it could be," Cris then answered.

Then Dia asked, "Am I still going to be 'princess?'"

"Sweetie, you will always be my princess. I love you both very much. That will never change. The only thing that will change is that we will have two more little ones to love."

"Okay, mommy." Día and Rocco then skipped over to my mom.

"Ewww, what is that smell?" I turned around, and somebody was eating shrimp.

"Don't you love shrimp, Kami?" My father asked.

"I do, but it's making me nauseous. Excuse me." I got up and made a mad dash to the bathroom.

Cris' POV

Well, now it is coffee and shrimp that make her feel nauseous. Dang. "How am I going to have my coffee in the morning?"

I was talking with Marco, Andre, and Marissa and noticed Kamea did not come back yet. It was a little over a half-hour. Then, I saw Mama Jayde motion for me to come over to her.

"Cris, Kami said she felt weak from throwing up. She tried to get up from the floor but felt her legs were about to give out."

No wonder she hasn't come back yet. So, Mama Jayde and I ran into the house and to the bathroom. Kamea looked up at me and said, "I can't move. I have been throwing up for the last 25 minutes. When I tried to get up, I couldn't. These babies are doing a number on my belly."

I went over to pick Kamea up and carried her over to the couch. I sat down with her and started to console her.

"I feel so embarrassed."

"Sweetheart, don't be."

"Kami, honey, each mother's experience with morning sickness is different. When I was pregnant with you, it was not bad at all. But, when I was pregnant with your brother and Noeli, it was bad. Don't feel embarrassed at all. Morning sickness can happen at any time. Let Cris here take care of you, understand? "

"Yes, mom."

"And I am a phone call away if you need me. I'll get you some ginger ale. Be right back."

"I just want to stay inside."

I grabbed the remote and turned on the tv. Noeli and Marissa came in.

"Are you okay, Kam?" Marissa asked.

"I'm okay now. I forgot to tell you all I met some of the real Valentino Toscano and his family. And guess what? They are coming to the wedding. And Cocoa is making our cake."

"No way! For real?" Noeli excitedly said.

Marco came in when he heard that.

"You got to meet Mr. Toscano?"

"We sure did. And we also met Mr. Calabro, Cam, Cocoa, and Alyshea Toscano. Chase was there too, unfortunately."

"I can't stand him. He is like a cobra - slithery and ready to strike at any moment," Marco said.

"Mr. Toscano had him escorted from the gala and warned him about harassing Kamea. But, I know he will not listen to it."

Mama Jayde brought Kamea's ginger ale.

"Thanks, mom."

"Your father and I are about to leave. Congrats, baby girl and Cris."

Jayde and Kalani then left the house. Día and Rocco came inside, rubbing their eyes. "I think it is time for two little kids to get ready for bed. I'll be right back, sweetheart."

"Good night, mommy."

"Good night, my princess and prince." I carried them both upstairs and put them to bed. After reading them a bedtime story, I went back downstairs.

My parents had left also. I went back to sit on the couch with my baby. I rubbed her belly and said, "Hi there, little ones. Be good for mommy, okay? She needs her rest, so can you do that for daddy?"

Briana's POV

Jake is hot. "So, Jake, what do you do for a living?"

"I am Kam's bodyguard. Being a bodyguard is something I have always wanted to do. I have had famous clients as well as not famous ones. What about you?"

"I love being a nurse. I feel a sense of joy knowing I am helping people. It's always something I have wanted to do. How do you know Kamea?"

"We were best friends since college. We lost contact when I started training to become a bodyguard. But, when Cris was looking for a bodyguard for her, that's when I got a call. I didn't know it was Kam until I came to talk with them. It's great to see her again and to know that she is happy."

"She seems really nice."

"Kam really is."

I looked around, and I didn't see Tamia around. Just then, I received a text message from her.

"Hey Bri, I had to leave suddenly. I hope you can find a ride home. I didn't want to interrupt your conversation with Jake - hottie with a body. See ya on Monday."

Jake then said, "Let's go inside." We went inside to the living room. It looked like everyone had already left. "Thanks, Tam."

"Hi, Briana. I saw Tam leave."

"Yeah, she sent me a text saying she suddenly had to leave. So, I don't have a ride home."

Jake's POV

"I can take you home." That way, we can continue getting to know each other. She's hot - beautiful, brown eyes and curves in all the right places. And she has a killer smile.

"Do you mind if I call you Bri?" Kam asked her. "And you can call me Kam."

"Sure, Bri is fine."

"We have plenty of room here if you want to stay the night. I have plenty of nightclothes. Besides, it would be nice to have another female in the house besides my princess. I can't really talk about girl stuff with Cris and Jake - their boys."

Geez, thanks, Kam.

Cris then said, "Hey, we are right here. Wait until it's bedtime, woman. "

"You wouldn't dare. We have company."

"Try me. All you must do is keep quiet. They won't even know."

Gosh, I hope she says yes. I would like to take her out tomorrow.

"Thank you for the offer. I'll stay."

"Good. Just let me know when you are ready, and I'll show you to your room. We are going to become great friends, " Kam then told her.

"Yes! She is staying." We all sat down in the living room and talked for a bit.

After about 2 hours, I could tell Kam and Briana were getting tired.

"It's been a long day, so I wanted to say goodnight."

So, Kam got up too.

"I am going up too. These kids are wearing me out. Goodnight, Jake and Cris. I can show you to your room and get some night clothes for you." And, then, they went upstairs.

"If Kamea thinks she is getting some sleep tonight, she is sadly mistaken."

Oh great. Thank goodness for earplugs. "Good night, Cris." He went upstairs, and I sat on the couch watching tv.

*Sunday Morning*

*Kam's POV*

"I have to learn how to keep my mouth shut when it comes to Cris. That man wore me out again. No smart mouth talking. I feel like an old lady walking to the kitchen."

I went downstairs to fix breakfast for everyone. I walked over to the fridge to see what we had. We have eggs, bacon, and bread for toast. I'll give my kids some cereal."

I heard someone coming into the kitchen, and it was Briana.

"Oh hey, good morning."

"Good morning. Thanks again for letting me stay the night. I had a really wonderful time yesterday."

"You're welcome. I'm glad you had a wonderful time. Speaking of, I think Jake likes you. He is a great guy."

"You do? He is definitely attractive."

"Jake is the best friend a girl could have. I could tell he liked you by the way he was staring at you last night. That boy has the hots for you, girl. He doesn't think I saw it, but when you said yes to staying, he had the biggest grin on his face."

"Well, if he asks me for my number, I would love to get to know him."

Jake's POV

As I walked to the kitchen, I heard Kam and Briana talking about me.

"She thinks I am attractive? Well, that's a plus, and the feeling is mutual. Maybe I'll ask her to go to lunch with me today."

I walked into the kitchen and said, "Good morning, ladies."

"Good morning, Jake," both ladies said at the same time.

"Breakfast is almost ready." I was about to make some coffee, but Kam said, "Jake, can you not make coffee? It makes me really nauseous."

"Sorry, Kam. I totally forgot. What else makes you nauseous?"

"So far, it is shrimp and coffee. And the hard part is that I love both. Hey, Jake or Briana, can one of you give me my insulin shot?"

"I can. Can I ask you a question?" Briana asked.

"Sure."

"Have you thought of switching your insulin to pill form?"

"I have. But, I was doing some research, and it said for a pregnant woman, it is best to use the needle."

Briana gave Kam her needle. "Ouch."

I just stood there and laughed.

"There is nothing funny, Jake."

"Breakfast is ready." Then, I heard Día, Rocco, and Cris coming into the kitchen.

"Morning, mommy and Jake," Dia said.

Kamea added, "Say hi to Ms. Bri."

Both Dia and Rocco said, "Morning, Ms. Bri. Then, Día said, "You're pretty."

"Yes, she is - very pretty."

"Good morning, sweetheart," Cris said to Kam. She walked over to him and kissed him. "Good morning, handsome."

Then, we heard 'Ewww' from the kids as they were eating their cereal.

I didn't waste any time asking her out. "So, Ms. Briana, are you free for lunch today? I really would like to get to know more about you."

The next thing I knew, Briana and Kam looked at each other. Kam gave her a wink and nodded. Then, she said, "I am free, Jake. Yes, I would love to go to lunch with you."

While we ate breakfast, we talked and laughed. Kam told Briana about meeting Valentino Toscano and Dominic Calabro. She has a huge crush on Mr. Toscano, just like Kam.

"And guess what? He is coming to my wedding! Speaking of, I need to add you to the guest list," Kam said with the biggest smile on her face. The both of them squealed like little school girls.

Cris and I looked at each other and said simultaneously, "Women."

It was quickly approaching 1 pm - lunchtime.

"Jake, I am ready for our lunch date. Kam and Cris, it was nice meeting you both, and thank you for your hospitality."

Kam says, "You're welcome."

"Hey, Jake, I'll be right back with the keys to my Rover." About 5 minutes later, Kam handed me the keys to her Range Rover.

"Since you are going to be here with us, just use my Rover. I trust you with her."

"Thanks, Kam." Then, we left out the house towards our destination. There is this beautiful beachfront restaurant that I have wanted to try. So, we will go there. As soon as we arrived, I noticed the restaurant had valet parking, so we let the valet park Kamea's Rover, and we made our way in.

We walked to the hostess, who asked if we would like to sit indoors or outdoors. I looked at Briana, and she said, "It is a beautiful day out today, so how about outdoors?"

Then, we were led outdoors.

When we arrived at our seating area, we had an amazing water view.

"How did you find this place? The views are absolutely beautiful."

"Before I became Kam's bodyguard, I would always come here to think. It's like my thinking spot. It's quiet and peaceful. You can even hear the waves from the water."

A waiter came over to take our drink and food order. "I'll be back shortly with your drinks after placing your food order."

While we were talking and laughing, out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Chase character. He was laughing and grinning with that chick he took to Italy. I sent a quick text to Cris and let him know what I saw.

Fifteen minutes later, we received the meals we ordered. I told Briana my likes and dislikes. And she told me hers. After we were done eating, we ordered dessert to go, and I paid for the meal. As we walked by Chase, I took a picture of him without him even knowing.

We then took a stroll around the park and talked some more. "I had a wonderful time with you at lunch."

"I did too."

For a minute there, we looked into each other's eyes. "I am going, to be honest with you, other than Kam; you are the only girl I have ever developed feelings for. I really would like to continue seeing you."

"I would like to continue seeing you too, Jake. But I need to ask you, did you and Kam ever date? And, even though she is married, do you have feelings for her? I really like you too, but I do not want my heart broken."

"Kam and I did date for a little bit in college. And we almost had sex, but we stopped it. I was a senior, and she was a junior. We thought it would be best to stay friends. But, after I graduated, I went straight into training to be a bodyguard. During my training, I didn't have access to a phone or computer because of how intense it was. I lost contact with her."

"That's a shame you could not talk to anyone."

"When I came back from training, I am going to be honest with you; I wanted to pursue a relationship with her. But I found out she was dating someone, and she seemed happy. So, I left. I was busy with being a bodyguard. I guarded some famous people and non-famous people. Then, l received a request to guard someone's wife. I went to meet the client at his house. It was Cris. And when I met his wife, I saw that it was Kam.

"Talk about a coincidence."

"Kam is happy with him and loves Cris very much. Who am I to break her happiness? When I saw you, I couldn't stop staring at how beautiful you were. I really would like to give us a go at a relationship. So, to answer your question, no, I do not have feelings for Kam. Kam and I are friends, and I am her bodyguard. How about we take things slow and see how it goes?"

I wanted to kiss her so badly, and I did. It seemed like forever that we stood there. She pulled back after a bit.

"Baby steps, Jake. Remember, we are taking things slow."

"Right." Then, we made our way back to the Rover. Suddenly, I heard someone scream my name. I knew who it was before turning around - Samantha.

So, I turned to Briana and said, "Ignore her and let's keep walking towards the truck."

"Who is she?" Briana asked.

"A big mistake. Samantha is the last person I dated. She cheated on me, and I dumped her. Trust me. You have nothing to worry about. All of my attention is focused on you."

"And, let's keep it that way. I mean it, Jake. I don't play when it comes to my heart. And I understand you are Kam's bodyguard. All I am saying is don't play with my heart."

"I promise."

"Jake, you hear me calling you! And who is the tramp you are with this time?"

Briana's POV

"Jake, let me handle her. She will not call me out of my name." I turned around to face this chick. I didn't say one word. I just popped her in her mouth, and she fell to the ground.

"Your first mistake was calling me out of my name. It is Briana. Remember it because I can become your worst nightmare. Second, Jake doesn't owe you any explanations. And third, he is 'mine.' You come anywhere near him again, and you are going to feel worse than you do now."

He then says, "Possessive. I like it."

"Get used to it."

"Samantha called Kam out of her name too. And Kam did the same thing - knocked Sam unconscious. I see Samantha hasn't learned a lesson yet."

Then, we got in the Rover, and Jake took me home.

Twenty minutes later, he pulled up to my condo.

"Thank you for lunch. I had a wonderful time. And, here is my number." He handed me his phone, and I added my number. "And, please tell Kam thanks again."

And then, I got out of the truck and made my way home.

Jake's POV

By the time I made it back to the house, the kids were watching 'Frozen' and eating popcorn. But I didn't see Kam or Cris. Then, Día said, "Mommy is yelling at daddy." And sure enough, Cris was trying to walk away from Kam, but she kept following him.

"All I asked for was a strawberry milkshake with my burger! You got me a boring vanilla milkshake, for goodness' sake! Vanilla, Cris! Think of the twins, Cris!!"

Uh-oh, it sounds like Kam is in mood swing mode. She saw me looking, and then it was my turn.

"What are you looking at, Jake?! Will one of you please get what I asked for? It's not hard! I want a freaking strawberry milkshake!"

Cris grabbed his keys and ran out of the house.

Geez, thanks, Cris. Then, Kam started crying. "I wanted strawberry, Jake! Cris doesn't love me anymore!"

If Cris is smart, he will bring a chocolate one too. I just have a feeling. So, I hugged Kam.

"There, there, Cris went to get you a strawberry milkshake. And don't say stuff like that. Cris loves you very much."

"Well, he should have gotten it right the first time. Hmm, now I could go for some pickles too."

Pregnancy cravings - pickles with a strawberry milkshake? I sent Cris a text to buy some pickles too.

20 minutes later

"Ugh, Jake, where is Cris with my milkshake?"

Kam is going to drive everyone crazy with her cravings. Shortly after Kam said that, Cris came into the house with the milkshake and pickles.

"Sweetheart, here is your strawberry milkshake, and I bought some pickles too."

"Aww, he does love me, Jake." And she walked off with her milkshake.

"Jake, I hope she doesn't ask me to eat that mixture." Too late.

Kam came back into the kitchen and went over to Cris.

"Hmm, you have to try this. It is yummy. Take a sip of the shake, and then take a bite of the pickle." Cris looked at Kam like she was crazy.

"Kamea, I am not going to...."

"Cristiano Amadore Fiore, if you do not do what I asked, good luck trying to get any sleep tonight! Now, take a sip and bite the pickle! Now!"

Cris did, and you all should see his face. I cracked up laughing.

"See, isn't it yummy?"

"Yes, sweetheart, it is yummy."

"Jake, after I drop Día and Rocco off at school tomorrow, I have an appointment with my doctor at Parkview. And then, I need to inform them of my decision not to return. I don't want to miss out on my kids' growing up."

"Understandable."

"I'm going to watch TV with my kids." Then, Kam left the kitchen.

"Regarding that picture text I sent, who is that chick that Chase character is talking to?"

"The only reason I can think of that Chase and Candi are cozy together is they are planning something to get back at Kamea and me. I can't let them hurt her, Jake. "

"The both of us will do all we can to make sure Kam stays safe."

*Monday morning. *

It was a typical morning in the Fiore household - Kam closing her eyes while getting her shot, the kids eating their breakfast.

Cris came in and kissed Kam, and sat down to eat breakfast. He almost made a cup of coffee, but Kam gave him a dirty look. "I'll get some on the way to the winery," Cris said.

After everyone was done with breakfast, Cris gave Kam another kiss and told everyone to have a good day. The kids ran upstairs to get their bags. When they came back, Kam grabbed her purse and sunglasses. Then, we left.

Kam's POV

"It feels good not to have any Addison drama at school. She was a pain in the butt. I'll be right back, Jake."

As Día and Rocco got out of their seats and out of the truck, they said goodbye. "Bye, Jake."

I walked with my kids to their class. As I was walking with them, I noticed someone was looking at me. Some male teacher was staring at me. After the twins' walked into their classroom and I started walking away, the teacher decided to come to talk to me.

"Good morning. I'm Mr. Taylor. I couldn't help but see you bring your kids to class."

"Is this man for real?" He was staring at me the whole time.

"I have never seen you before. Are they new students?"

Let me set this man straight right now. "Mr. Taylor, it is correct? That is none of your concern whether my kids are new students. And, about you seeing me, that is none of your business. This big diamond ring on my ring finger says that I am happily married. So, if you came over here in a pathetic attempt to ask me out, save it for someone else because I am not interested. Now, have a wonderful day."

I started walking out the door, then felt someone grab my arm. Jake saw what had happened. "Excuse me, can you let go of my arm? What part of what I said don't you get?"

"I just wanted to apologize."

"You can apologize without touching me." Jake came over and glared daggers at the man.

"Hey baby, is everything okay over here?" Jake said as he pulled me close and put his arm around my waist. I knew what Jake was doing, so I played along.

"Mr. Taylor here made a pathetic attempt to ask me out by asking about our kids."

Jake was livid. He got in the teacher's face and said, "Don't ever ask my wife about our children again! And if I see you touching her again, you won't have a class to go to anymore because the school will need a new teacher!"

Jake scared the mess out of him. "Let's go, love." And, then, we walked away.

As we got in my truck, Jake said, "Kam, you have to let me go in with you. What if he snatched you and did more than touch you?"

"Yes, dad. What am I, a psychic? I didn't know he was going to do that! Gosh, Jake!" Jake grabbed my arm and swung me around to face him.

"Don't take that tone with me, Kam! It is my responsibility to look after you! I am your bodyguard, for goodness' sake! This is not a game! So, stop being stubborn!"

"Let go of my arm, Jake! I know it's not a game! Now, get in the freaking truck so we can go!" And then I got in my truck.

Needless to say, the ride to the hospital was quiet. Too quiet for me, so I turned on some music.

About an hour later. I pulled into the hospital parking lot. I was lucky that I still had my parking space, so that is where I parked. Doctor Sanchez was on the 8th floor, so we made our way to the elevators. Once again, quiet ride.

As we headed to her office, we spotted Tamia and Bri coming our way.

"Hey ladies, are you both free for lunch? I have two appointments, and I should be done by 1 pm?"

"I can meet you at 1 pm. What about you, Tam?" Briana said.

"I sure can. Down to the cafeteria or somewhere out?"

"Is that okay with you, dad?" I said to Jake and rolled my eyes.

"Downstairs is fine," Jake said through gritted teeth.

They both looked at us like what was going on as we walked away.

I checked in with the receptionist for Doctor Sanchez, and we both sat down. A few minutes later, I was called in. I just looked at Jake, and he said, "I'll wait right here." Then, I went with the receptionist.

Reed's POV

The hospital had a janitorial position open, so I took it. This disguise is driving me crazy, but it is the only way for me to be in town. As I was cleaning around, I saw Kam with some dude.

Kam called me a cheater. But yet, here she is, strutting around with some guy that is not Cris. "What a tramp." Then, I overheard a conversation with Tamia and some hot chick.

"I wonder why Kam and Jake were not speaking to each other?"

"I wonder too."

"I'm so glad for her, though. Being married to the man of her dreams and pregnant with twins. She deserves it. Thank goodness she isn't with that piece of trash, Reed."

After I heard that, I almost kicked over the bucket of water I had just filled to mop the floors.

"Piece of trash? I'll show you all a piece of trash." I made a quick phone call to have a getaway car ready.

Kam wouldn't let me have sex with her. But she gives it up to Cris and is pregnant? "I am about to take what she owes me. Wait until she is done with that appointment."

*1 hour later.*

I slowly took my time mopping the floors so that I could watch when Kam came out of the office. I have the weapon I need, and the car is ready. "As soon as she comes out, she is mine." I had to be quick and fast in kidnapping her.

I saw the door open and heard her say, "Thank you, Doctor Sanchez." Kam was in full view, and that was when I made my move.

Jake's POV

I couldn't stay mad at Kam, so I planned to apologize to her when she came out of the office. What happened next, though, was horrific.

She was entirely out of the office when some dude grabbed her and yelled, "This is a kidnapping! I have a weapon, and I am not afraid to use it!"

He had a surgical knife to Kam's throat. She was terrified. She was screaming, "Jake, I'm sorry!" The tears were streaming down her eyes. I tried to move, then the kidnapper said, "If you take one more step, she is dead!"

My heart shattered right there on the spot. I watched in horror as he walked Kam over to the elevator. The bell rang, and the elevator doors opened. He cut Kam's purse off her shoulder, and they got on.

I made a mad dash to grab Kam's purse for her keys to her truck. Then I heard Briana yell, "Jake take the stairs! You may be able to catch them! The staircase is to the right of the elevator!"

"Someone call Cris now!" Then, I made a mad dash down eight flights of stairs. By the time I made it to the first floor, I had heard screams and people running for cover. He pulled Kam into a red Chevy Suburban, and they pulled off. I ran to Kam's truck. I started her truck up before I reached it. Thank goodness she has a keyless entry. I opened the door, got in, and sped off.
