True Antihero

"Nobody moves," Antihero glares at me, "and nobody gets hurt."

The mortals stop, all afraid of what could happen to the hostage.

"What do you want dad?" I demand.

"You became relevant," he replies, "so there's only one thing I want. I want go save my daughter from unbearable suffering. As a character, you must be erased. But first..."

Antihero moves the blade closer to Dream Reaper's throat.

"Wait!" I yell, "I have an offer you can't refuse!"

"Oh?" Antihero smuggly smirks, "and what is that?"

"Irrelevance," I explain slowly moving closer, "Marcie's story isn't self sustaining until this book ends. If you erase me now, she'll be no longer relevance. Just let Dream go, and I'll go down without a fight."

Antihero thinks for a moment. He stares into my soul with malice and rage, sending chills down my spine.

"Very well then," he smirks, "come closer Nameless."

I slowly approach.

"Nameless no!" Marcie whispers in that weird whisper-yell tone, "he'll slaughter you!"

"Don't worry," I smile, "I'm still a nobody anyways."

I keep walking. Marcie tires to stop me, but I abandon my physical form and continue.

"Now," Antihero smirks as I sit helpless beneath him, "to begin the end."

Antihero lets Dream go and lifts his blade. Dream immediately stabs Antihero in the back. Antihero turns, glaring, and knocks Dream back.

"Gods damn you!" Antihero exclaims, "this isn't over Nameless. I WILL try again. For now though, I leave. Oh, and, Marcie, goodbye. I hope you change before it's to late."

Antihero's sword glows and he disappears in a cloud of dark energy. I borrow Dream's form and pick up Antihero's ear piece. It looks home made, and broken.

Marcie rushes to my side.

I hug Nameless. "By the pen!" I exclaim, "don't scare me like that!"

"Hey," he smiles, "you don't have to worry about me. I can handle myself."

"Are you OK?" I ask.

"I'm fine," he smiles, "But are you OK? Your dad did basically just say he was gonna kill you."

"About that," I explain, "he's planning another attack on February 12th."

"Don't worry, I can handle it. Thanks for your help Dream."

"No problem," Dream smiles at both of us, "anyways, the show's still going, so, if you guys still wanna watch..."

"Sure," I smile, "What about you Nameless?"

"Sounds good to me," he replies.

We head back to our table, the mortals settle down and the show continues as normal. It's the best show I've ever seen. I laughed so hard I fell outta my chair. Nameless laughed himself out of physical form a couple of times, but what made it great, was seeing Nameless smile. He's so nice, he deserves to smile.

After the show ends, I begin towards home, only to realize I can't exactly go back there. I ask Nameless what I should do.

"Oh," he explains, "you know how Reaper's house got burned down?"

"Yeah," I reply, "he really didn't seem to care. I actually saw it happen. Thing went up in flames so fast."

"Yeah," Nameless replies, "I mean, like, to far with the pranks last year huh? Anyways, I bought that plot of land and built a house there. You can just stay there. I'll handle Another on the 12th, and then... I don't know."

"What about the scraped characters?"

"I think what you did today has you locked in, so don't worry about them. Just, join a faction before the Void War begins and you're golden."

He smiles cutely.

"It's all uphill from here Marcie," he smiles, "all uphill from here..."

I'm going for it. I lean in and kiss him on the cheek.

I blush just a little. I don't get to flustered to easily, but I'm not perfect.

"Listien," she explains, "Nameless. I care about you, like, a lot. Promise me, that you'll say goodbye if you choose to go alone."

I don't think I can do that. It's hard enough just knowing I'll have to leave. I can't bring her with me, it's to dangerous. She's not ready. "I promise," I lie.

"Great," she smiles, "see ya around town." She leaves. I wonder when I'll be able to go to the scraped world and save my friends? It's only a matter of time...
