14: When The Rogues Come Back

Requested by pumpkinspice112796 Hope you enjoy it! I'm so so, sorry it's so late, I've been really stressed out lately and writer's block is a real pain. This is kind of short and I'm sorry about that. Hope it's okay.

Technically their arrival wasn't unexpected. They had just forgotten about it.

How, you ask? They had simply been watching a movie - Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - again, because Peter could never get bored of that movie.

On Peter's lap at one end of the couch was a bowl of popcorn, and on the other end was one of his adopted dad's, Rhodey, with his other adopted dad, Tony, lying on him very ungraciously, groaning, whenever Rhodey adjusted himself beneath the man.

They'd adopted him a few months after the Civil War battle at the airport, but Peter still hadn't gotten used to them as parents. He simply referred to them as, 'Rhodey' and 'Tony' or 'Mr. Stark' which always drove Tony crazy.

Tony had almost fallen asleep when the door opened, and he fell off Rhodey's lap and onto the floor. Rhodey and Peter snickered, but their smiles faded when they looked up.

Quickly scrambling up, Tony's smirk faded into a frown in less than a second.

In front of them, were the Rogues, standing awkwardly by the door. Steve gave Tony his puppy eyed stare and Tony glared in response. "Tony..." Steve tried.

"Rogers," Tony replied, heart rate quickening. He nodded to the other rogues. Rhodey joined Tony in front of the rogues while Peter awkwardly ambled towards them. "What are you doing here?"

Natasha rolled her eyes. "I'm honestly not at all surprised you forgot, Stark," she said, Tony bristling.

"Too much alcohol in your system?" Steve added quickly, getting agitated quickly, his calm expression morphing into a sneer. "You sure do look hungover. You're just like you're father."

When Tony completely stilled, Rhodey pushed forward, glaring at Steve. "Don't you dare say that!" he exclaimed. "Tony is the furthest thing from his father, Rogers, and you have no right at all to come storming in here and making wild assumptions!"

Steve scowled. "Once an alcoholic," he mutters. "Always an alcoholic. Look, he can't even speak!"

"What did you say?" Peter whispered, barely audible. Steve opened his mouth to continue but Rhodey wasn't having in it. He punched Steve square in the nose who clutched it before getting ready to punch back.

"No!" Peter exclaimed, jumping in front of Rhodey. Steve hesitated, his eyes wide with anger. "You don't just come in our home and yell at Dad about being an alcoholic and almost punch Pops! I'll have you know he hasn't touched alcohol since 2008!" He balled his fists. "You've got some nerve, Rogers," he snapped. "All of you do. So get your asses out of our house, you selfish pricks!"

Clint barked a laugh. "What's a teen like you going to do to us?"

Peter held out his wrist and clicked his webshooter, a web springing out and wrapping around the archer's wrist.

"What the hell-" Sam whispered, his eyes wide.

"Now get out!" Peter exclaimed, and in a second, it was just Peter and his small family in the spacious compound. He turned to Rhodey and Tony who were both watching him with astonished looks.

Tony's eyes were wide. "Wow, kid," he said, sitting back down on the couch with Rhodey. They continued the movie. "Didn't know you had it in ya."

Peter chewed the inside of his cheek. "Sorry," he mumbled, looking down at the ground.

"No, no, it's all cool," Rhodey quickly added, smirking, patting on the couch for Peter to sit down with them on the couch. The teen obliged, sitting in between them. "It was fun to watch you yelling at the Rogues, though."

"And calling us Dad and Pops," Tony continued. "Thanks for that."

Peter froze. Oh sh!t. I didn't... did I? He didn't even notice himself slip up. "Can we please continue the movie?" he asked.

"Sure, kid," Tony and Rhodey said in unison.

"Thanks, dads."
