I did not see that coming
Peter
I paid for my stuff and kept my head down under my hood so that the cashier wouldn't see my face. The last couple of weeks haven't been easy. Beck exposed my identity to the whole world and framed me for his actions. Luckily the cashier didn't seem the slightest interested in who I was. So I got out of there easily and started walking back towards the place I've been staying at. I couldn't stay with May since it was too dangerous. But we meet up in secret once every week at central park where she gives me some food and pocket money. Ned and MJ sometimes meet me there too. I don't want any of them to know where I'm staying since if they don't know, they can't tell anyone. Which is much safer on both parts.
....
I looked around to make sure no one was looking before I sneaked inside an old abandoned train station. The walls were covered in graffiti and the tunnel was a bit wet. But it was a perfect hideout where no one thought of looking and even if they did I had plenty of escape routes. As I was walking towards the train station I had all of my stuff on I noticed that the light was on. Which was very concerning since I always turn it off so no one will find it interesting while I'm not there. I quickly stood against the wall and carefully sneaked towards the station while being ready to fight in case someone was still there. As I got even closer I saw a shadow of a person. That's not good. I peaked behind the corner to get a look at the person. It was a guy with short brown hair, wearing what looked like a fancy suit from behind. What really caught my eye was the iron arm that looked like Mr. Stark's. Was this one of Beck's guys??
"There's no point in hiding behind that wall Peter. I heard your footsteps" The guy said.
I took a deep breath and stepped forward. Somehow I recognized the guy's voice. I kept my eyes locked on the guy who still had his back facing me.
"These past couples of weeks can't have been easy for you kid" the guy said.
I stopped and had to hold in a gasp. The word 'kid' struck like lightning through my body. The guy sounded exactly like Mr. Stark did....before he died.
"Who are you?" I asked ignoring the guy's question.
"I'll show you. But you have to promise you won't freak out" he said.
"Okay?" I said and looked at the guy confused.
Slowly the guy started turning around and my eyes widened in shock as I saw his face. It was Mr. Stark. He gave me small smirk.
"Hi kid" he said.
I just stared at him and dropped the small bag of groceries on the floor. It couldn't be him. He died. His heart stopped. Everyone was at the funeral.
"I've finally lost it" I said and felt my heart rise as I walked towards one of my desks.
"Oh c'mon kid don't...." Mr. Stark said but stopped as I collapsed down on an old chair I had found in a dumpster.
I grabbed my hair with one hand and tried to think of when I started going crazy. The past couple of weeks haven't been that hard. I mean not optimal, but I've gotten by.
"Peter?" Mr. Stark said and started walking towards me.
I looked at him surprised. He seemed so real. We made eye contact and I noticed the big scars covering half of his face on the same side his Iron man arm was on. My mind is really playing tricks on me.
"He called me Peter" I said tearing up a bit and Mr. Stark stopped and looked at me a little confused. "Mr. Stark-.... Tony....he never called me Peter. Not once" I said.
"Yeah....Pepper was not happy about my bad manners" Mr. Stark said and scratched his neck. "But I'm not a ghost kid. Look" he said and reached out his arm.
My spidey sense went off as his arm did touch me. I looked down on my shoulder where he had put his hand. It was real....or was it. I stood up from my chair and stared at Mr. Stark. There would need to be more confirmation than that.
"Hit me" I said.
"What? Kid..."
"Hit me. If you're not just in my head you should not be able to psychically hurt me. So hit me!" I said.
"Kid I really don't...." Mr. Stark said looking really concerned.
"Fine then just slap me or something!" I said a little bit more desperate.
Mr. Stark sighed deeply and looked at me.
"Don't tell your aunt!" He said raising a finger.
"I promise" I said.
Mr. Stark sighed again before he raised his hand and slapped me. My head turned to the right since Mr. Stark had slapped me with his left hand. It didn't hurt that much. But enough to confirm that he was real. I slowly looked back at him shocked.
"Mr. Stark?" I asked.
"Yeah" he smiled.
I immediately hugged him and did not care if we 'weren't there yet'. I watched him die. We were there now.....wait. I pulled away from Mr. Stark who had actually hugged me back.
"I watched you die.....how...how are you alive!?" I asked.
"Well....It's a long story I don't fully understand. The wizard was not really explaining all of it in English. But basically Strange brought me back for some reason and I've been healing up with Pepper and Morgan" Mr. Stark said.
"Are you...okay?" I asked and glanced at his iron man arm and big scar tissue.
"Well....I no longer have an actual right arm and the gauntlet certainly left its mark but....I'm still standing" Mr. Stark said.
I sent him a small smile as I sat back down on my chair and he leaned back against my other desk.
"I assume that wasn't your only question" he said.
"How did you find me?" I asked.
"It wasn't easy. You certainly know how to disappear kid. Even Fury can't find you. But I kept an eye on ms. Parker and your friends saw a pattern in central park. Followed it and found you"
"Why was there a funeral if you're not dead?"
"Well at that time I was actually dead kid. Strange brought me back. But....I didn't tell the world because I....I'm retired. And people like me don't easily get retired. I learned that from a friend of mine" Mr. Stark said and smiled as he looked down on his feet.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"Well I saw on the news that apparently spider-man tried to execute a lot of people" Mr. Stark said looking at me.
"Mr. Stark I....." I started defending since I didn't want him to actually think I did such a thing.
"I know you were framed Peter. I built those glasses, I know the commands....and....I know you. At least enough to know you wouldn't do something like that"
I looked at Mr. Stark and sent him a small smile. It was nice that I didn't have to explain too much to him.
"So you came all the way back from the 'dead' simply because I was in trouble?" I asked doubting.
"Yeah. I mean no offense but I don't think you would've survived longer than a year like this and well....I had been planning to let you in on the secret" Mr. Stark said.
I sent him another smile and looked down at my feet for a moment before I looked back at him.
"So what now?"
"First of all pack your stuff. You're not staying here anymore. Second of all I have a few ideas of how to clear your name and convince people you're not spider-man"
"Where are we going?" I asked and stood up to start and pack my stuff.
Mr. Stark just smiled
"Home"

This chapter was a little stressed since I haven't been able to plan it so much since I've been busy all day cleaning my room because it's that time of year (yes I should probably clean more often) and I'm getting a new desk
Which is nice. And now I'm exhausted.
Bye bye
