Peter was two years old when Tony and Pepper adopted him. It was the best thing they ever did, however, the team didn't know he existed. It's not that the parents didn't want them to meet him, they wanted to make sure he felt safe around strangers.

The group and Tony were chatting in the living room, Pepper was out of town on business, it was pouring down rain, and Peter, who was usually a quiet baby who slept through the night, began to wail.

"What is that noise?" Nat asked, as the others stared confused.

"Oh man." Tony muttered. He got up from the couch and rushed to Peter's room, where he saw the boy trembling. "Oh Peter, it's alright, did the thunder scare you?"

His sobs soon turned to whimpers, until another strike of thunder came, louder than the first. Peter started crying again and Tony rocked him back and forth. "It's okay bambi, daddy's gotcha."

He whimpered again, clutching Tony's shirt. The man turned around and saw the team standing there watching the father and son. "So you have a son?" Clint questioned.

"No Katniss, I found this kid on my doorstep two years ago." Tony replied sarcastically.

The toddler came into full view, "Everyone, meet Peter."

"Peter, meet the team." Peter looked at them and hid back in Tony's shoulder.

Wanda studied her tiny nephew, "He's so cute."

Tony bounced Peter up and down, to keep him calm, which seemed to be working. "Hey little one." Nat greeted, coming closer but not too close as to not spook him.

Tony loved cuddling with his son, holding him in his arms, bouncing or swaying back and forth to keep the little boy feeling content. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tony noticed Peter was starting to doze off, so he laid a kiss upon his forehead and placed him back in his crib. Then he and the others quietly made their exit, Wanda asked Tony how he and Pepper became Peter's parents.

Tony sighed and explained. "Peter's birth mother died in childbirth, his aunt and uncle weren't financially well to care for him. So he ended up in the system, we found out we couldn't have kids and we adopted him."

The room fell silent, and Steve spoke up, "Well, we're glad you trusted us enough to tell us and let us meet him." Tony smiled, his kid had more people to love.
