When Peter woke up that morning he was fine. He went to school, thinking the day would be a good one, but Flash, on the other hand, thought it was a great idea to mess with him.

Peter ignored it at first, and started walking to English, Flash and his buddies followed the trio but then provoked Peter. MJ whipped her head around, "What is your deal Flash?"

Ned sighed, this was getting old. "Leave him alone!"

"Oh nothing, just wanted to tell Parker something."

"And what would that be?" Peter asked, annoyance laced in his tone.

Flash looked Peter straight in the eyes, "Isn't today the anniversary of your mom's death? Oh right, it is. She probably wanted to get away from you. That's a theme with you, everyone leaving."

That hit Peter hard. Usually he would be able to take Flash's taunting but this... this was different. Tears brimmed his eyes, he turned on his heels and ran to the bathroom leaving Ned & MJ chasing after him.

They waited outside to see if he was coming out but all they heard were muffled sobs. MJ turned to the teen and demanded, "Ned, call Harley."

But Ned was already on it, holding the phone up to his ear, "Already dialing,"

He heard the dial tone for a few seconds before the southern boy answered. "Hey Harley, I'm putting you on speakerphone."

"What's up guys?" He questioned, it was weird for them to call him while they were at school.

MJ spoke, "Something happened with Peter. He's crying in the boys bathroom, refusing to come out. Could you help us?"

Harley sighed, they could practically hear his carding his hand through his hair. "Oh man, Peter."

"We know even if he doesn't want to see us right now we're staying here anyway," Ned said.

"I'm on my way." Ned hung up with Harley and waited listening to his best friend cry because he is hurting a lot. Then he saw Harley walk up to him and MJ.

"What happened?" Harley asked.

"When we were walking to English, Flash started taunting him, basically implying it was his fault that everyone in his life left." MJ explained.

"Then he ran to the bathroom and has been there ever since, we tried coaxing him out but he won't. That's why we called you." Ned told Harley.

"It's alright guys, I'm gonna get him and take him home." It didn't take long for Harley to get Peter out. He took him home with the principal's permission. Even if he didn't really give a crap about permission.

Later Harley saw Tony and Natasha sitting in the living room having a conversation when they saw him with Peter. "Peter, you okay?" Tony asked.

"I don't want to talk about it." Peter said.

Harley looked towards their dad and gave him the look of: 'I'll talk to him and report back to you.' He walked with Peter to his room where he broke down sobbing. Harley pulled his brother into his arms as he cried.

He combed his fingers through Peter's hair softly. "It's okay Pete, that kid is just a jerk. I wouldn't waste my time thinking about him." Harley was seething on the inside, in all honesty he wanted to punch him in the face.

"I.. I can't remember her."

Harley continued combing through Peter's curls, "Can't remember who?"

"My mom, I can't remember her voice or what she looked like Harley." Peter replied.

"Pete." Harley said, sympathy laced in his voice.

Peter wiped the tears from his cheeks, "I know she died years ago, but you would think I could remember my own mother."

"It's okay Peter."

Peter shook his head, "It doesn't feel that way Harley, you have your mom, you get to see her every other weekend. Mine died in a plane crash, I won't ever get to see her again."

"You have Pepper."

"Pepper is great, but she's not my mom. I feel horrible for not remembering my own mom's face or voice."

"Trust me Peter, your mom isn't mad at you for that. I bet she's so proud. I am, so is dad and everyone else. They're proud of the person you've become."

"Love you Harley."

"I love you too Pete."
