Febuwhump day 6: insomnia

Here is day 6.

Peter couldn't sleep. It was as simple as that. The complication was he didn't know why. His brain was running on a hundred miles an hour and it would not slow down. He was also stressed because of the end of year exams and he was trying to cram a lot of information into his head all at once.

His patrols as Spidey were getting longer and his hours of sleep short until one day.

Peter was walking out of school after finishing his final exam and he was exhausted from the lack of sleep he had been getting the past few weeks. There was so much going on that Peter's brain refused to stop going at a hundred miles an hour.

Today was a tower day so Peter knew he was screwed because Tony could see right through his masks.

When Peter got to the tower he went right up to Tony's lab because he knew better than to delay the inevitable.

When Peter walked into the lab Tony immediately saw the dark purple bags under Peter's eyes.

"Kid why are the bags under your eyes large enough to be an entire suitcase?"

Peter knew better than to lie so he told the truth.

"I can't sleep my brain won't stop working and I just finished exams and my stress has been really high lately because of it."

"Kid it sounds like you have a mild case of insomnia. I can help you with that because I am an insomniac king."

"How do you deal with it."

"Pepper taught me this one trick that has really worked and now I will help you. You need to just talk. It can be about anything. It will get you out of your head and it should help silence your thoughts."

"I will try it."

"Let's move to your room so you are comfortable."

They went up to Peter's room and Tony helped Peter lay down on his bed.

"Now you just talk."

So Peter did. He talked about everything going through his brain from the exams in school to his patrols as Spidey everything thing came out as jumbled word vomit. Peter went on for about a half hour just talking and Tony was contentLy listening. Eventually Peter felt his eyes begin to shut and his eyelids felt like they weighed a thousand pounds.

That night Peter had the best nights sleep.

Ending was just me trying to get enough words.
