You are Perfect to Me
Description: Peter Parker has always been one to be a good judge of character. So he honestly can't help it when he sees someone that he falls head over heals with. To him, this girl is an angel.
A/N: This is more my idea from the song. I do not know who the person is in the picture but she's really pretty and I decided she would be the OC in this chapter. This doesn't really have Tony in it but... well you'll see.

It was the end of the day for the students of Midtown Tech and everyone was so prepared to leave. All the student were rushing out of the school just excited to leave for the weekend. Except for one specific person.
Peter Stark.
He spent a while staring at a girl that he had every class with. She would always run her hand through her brown hair when she couldn't figure out a problem. She would push her glasses up on her face when they were falling down and let out a small chuckle. Her green eyes would stare deeply into the drawing she was doing with such admiration.
Peter couldn't help the fact that he fell for her fast. Every Avenger had heard about her before because Peter would talk about her all the time. She would be one of the only people who wouldn't bully him. She would always stand up for him and Ned whenever they were being bullied by anyone in the school.
And her name is Madeline Barton. That's right, it's Clint's eldest daughter. Madeline would live in the tower with Peter without even realising he was there because he hid from her. He's always been too afraid to go up to her. Little did poor Peter know that Madeline always knew he was there. Always watching over her like her own guardian.
Peter was snapped out of the trance he was by Madeline herself opening her locker. She reached down for her maroon backpack and pulled out everything she didn't need for the night. Peter stared like a puppy as she looked at the signed picture of the Black Veil Brides that was held up by a magnet. She sighed happily and adjusted the light brown cardigan over the emerald green shirt and dark wash jeans before retying the lace on her black combat boots.
Madeline looked up when she felt someone staring at her. Fearing that it was some creeper she stood up straight. But she was quickly relieved to only find that it was Peter.
"Hey Peter!" Madeline called offering a small wave and a bright smile.
"Oh.. hey Madeline" Peter called back looking down sheepishly and playing with his hair.
"How was your day?" Madeline asked as she pulled her bag over her shoulders.
"It was good. I thought the Chemistry test was pretty easy. But it was really funny when you dropped your calculator making everyone look at you" Peter joked earning a hearty laugh making a blush appear on the boy's face.
"That was so embarrassing. I had to erase that question since I was doing the stoichiometry all wrong without realising" Madeline told him while laughing lightly still.
"Stoichiometry is so annoying to do. Good thing we're doing stuff on solutions next" Peter added leaning against the lockers.
"HEY MADELINE!" Flash yelled from across the hallway.
Both Madeline and Peter looked up to see Flash standing there with a guitar that was yellow are orange. But what caught Madeline's attention was the fact that it was the same type of guitar played by her favourite band.
"WHOA FLASH THATS SO COOL!" Madeline squealed running over after shutting her locker.
"Wanna learn how to play? You can use this one" Flash offered shooting a sly look towards Peter who was shocked.
"You know how to teach? I would love to learn! I'll see you tomorrow Pete!" Madeline said before waving to Peter who was stunned in his spot.
Flash looked back at Peter shooting him a smirk before wrapping and arm around Madeline's shoulders. What made it worse was for Peter was that she didn't even try to shake it off.
Peter scowled to himself before looking down at the picture by his feet. The signed picture was just staring right at him. Peter sighed lightly to himself before pulling out his phone.
Spider-Son:
I'll be home late tonight. I wanna head to Central Park for a while, maybe go on patrol for a while.
Iron-Dad:
You sure Pete? You got any homework tonight? You know how Steve can get. He'd probably send out a search party.
Spider-Son:
I don't have any homework tonight. Plus it's the weekend. I just want to be outside a bit more. Need to clear my head.
Iron-Dad:
Okay Pete. But be home before 9. Make sure you eat dinner too.
Spider-Son:
I will. I'll probably just go to Delmar's for a sandwich.
Peter left that conversation just like that and went on to walk through New York. The big city didn't bother him at all and all he wanted was to die in a hole. Flash always seemed to want to make Peter's life a living hell. Madeline was one of the best things to ever happen to Peter ever since the whole thing with the Vulture. She's the only one besides Ned that never tried to just be his friend because he was Tony Stark's son. All she said was, "so what? You're just another high school student from the poorest to the richest person here".
Peter couldn't help but want to tell her how he felt. He always blushed when she would do something so small.
Finally something caught Peter's eye. He looked into the shop that was right next to him to find the red and black guitar that Madeline had always had her eye on. Peter looked down at the price and remembered how she said that she couldn't afford it. That's when Peter got an idea.
Peter walked into the store and happily pulled out a shared credit card he got from Tony. This would be the first time that Peter would ever use the card, but for once he knew he wouldn't regret it.
"Peter? What are you doing in an instrument shop?" The familiar voice of Ned Leeds asked making Peter look at the person behind the counter.
"Ned? You have a job? In a music shop?" Peter asked staring wide eyed at his best friend.
"Yeah. This place pays well and it's so fun to watch people look around and mess with the instruments. You know that girl Madeline? From out school? She's comes in here all the time to play with that red and black one in the window" Ned replied bouncing slightly.
"That's why I'm here Ned. Flash is being annoying again and I really want to win her over. I'm going to buy her that guitar" Peter said putting on a small smirk.
"You know she doesn't really like when people buy her expensive things Peter. Or remotely when people buy her things. She loves to be able to pay for things on her own" Ned responded tilting his head to the side.
"Yeah but Flash is really close now. He's apparently teaching her how to play the guitar. I really like her Ned" Peter sighed letting his head fall.
"Well as your guy in the chair I best hook you up" Ned said going over the window and grabbing the guitar.
"How much?" Peter asked watching Ned put the guitar in a case.
"In total with the case as an added best friend bonus, it will be $450" Ned told him grabbing onto the credit machine.
Peter quickly swiped the card and typed in the passcode and was quickly pleased to see the word 'APPROVED' appear on the screen.
Ned hauled the guitar up onto the counter and gave Peter an encouraging smile and patting the case.
"Go win her over buddy" Ned told him nodding at Peter.
"I plan on it" Peter replied before grabbing onto the case and skipping out of he store.
Peter was skipping around with a large smile on his face as he left the store. Peter happily went back to Central Park and sat down on a bench. The sun had actually started to set and Peter had begun to question how long he was actually out of the building.
A heart filled laugh caught Peter's full attention which made him look across the park. What he saw made his blood boil.
Flash and Madeline we're walking towards where he was sitting, laughing together. It was clear that Flash was telling her a story and Peter couldn't help but watch as Madeline's face lit up when she laughed.
Flash apparently saw Peter and was quick to put his arm around Madeline's waist. But the reaction he got wasn't what he was expecting. Madeline winced slightly and removed his hand.
"Please don't do that Flash. I don't really feel comfortable enough for that. Sorry I don't mean to be a bummer" Madeline apologised but to her surprise, Flash scowled at her.
"Then don't be a bummer and let me put my hand around your waist" Flash growled placing his hand around her again.
"I'm sorry Flash. But I said I wasn't comfortable with that. So I'm going to have to ask that you keep your hands to yourself" Madeline shot back sheepishly trying to remove his hand, but Flash's grip only tightened.
Peter quickly had enough with Flash and stood up forgetting all about the guitar. He quickly ran over and tackled Flash to the ground.
"Peter?!" Madeline gasped when she recognised the brown haired boy that tackled Flash.
Peter ignored her and raised his fist to punch Flash. But he stopped. Peter could see the fear in Flash's eyes and he didn't want Madeline to be afraid of him.
Peter quickly scrambled to his feet and locked eyes with Madeline. Flash was he next to stand up and all he did was run off.
"I-I..... I can't do this. I'm sorry" Peter stuttered before running in the direction of the tower leaving Madeline behind.
Madeline was left just standing in the park wondering what had just happened. That's when she noticed the guitar case that was leaning against the bench that was leaning against the bench Peter had been sitting at. Worry filled her when she realised that Peter must've forgotten about it. So she decided it was he mission to make sure it got back to him.
Peter however quickly locked himself in his room after running straight into Tony when he ran in. Tony couldn't help but be confused as to why Peter was running and why he had just ran into his room.
"Pete? You okay bud?" Tony asked giving a light knock.
"I messed up dad" Peter whimpered opening the door a bit.
"C'mon Pete. Tell me what happened" Tony egged him on letting himself into his sons room and sitting on the bed.
"Well there's this girl I like. Who just also happens to be Clint's eldest daughter Madeline. We have every class together, and dammit dad I've fallen for her hard. It's just everything about her just makes me like her more. The way her face lights up when she laughs and how she's always so focused when she's working or drawing. But today I finally had enough courage to hold a conversation with her by myself. But this kid, Flash, decided to ruin it. You know that Madeline really likes guitars and he had one on him and offered to teach her. So she left with him. I decided that I would buy her the guitar she's always wanted to try and win her over. But later on I saw them both together and Flash clearly saw me and tried putting his hand around her waist. No matter how nice she was to him, he wouldn't remove his hand like she wanted him to. It got to the point that I was fed up this I wasn't thinking. I tackled Flash to the ground and almost punched him. But I chickened out. When I stood back up and locked eyes with Madeline, I couldn't stay. I was worried she'd be afraid of me. Dad I really want her to like me, like how I like her" Peter explained and Tony couldn't help the smile that was showing on his face.
Peter sounded like a love sick puppy.
"Kid it's okay. You did what you thought was right to protect the person you care about. But about that guitar you bought. Where is it?" Tony asked not finding a guitar case anywhere.
"I FORGOT IT IN CENTRAL PARK!" Peter yelled putting his face in his hands.
Tony was about to say something but he was cut off by a knock at the door. The door opened slightly and it just so happened that Madeline peeked her head in.
"Peter. Good you're here. You forgot your guitar when you ran off" Madeline said walking in fully to show the case in her hand.
Tony smiled brightly before patting Peter on the shoulder and standing up. He walked over to the door but stopped and mouthed, "tell her" to Peter before giving a wink and leaving.
"Sorry Madeline. I don't know what came over me back there" Peter sighed when she sat down next to him.
"Well it definitely did shock me that's for sure" Madeline started.
Peter groaned and shook his head not wanting to know what else she had to say.
"But I thought it was admirable" Madeline continued making Peter look up at her shocked.
"Admirable? How so?" Peter asked with his eyes blown wide.
"You were defending me. I knew you could hear what I was saying to Flash. Especially with your spider hearing" Madeline giggled shocking Peter even more.
"Oh man you know I'm Spider-Man too?" Peter groaned not preventing the small smile on his face.
"You're not very good at hiding it with Ned. But I couldn't help but appreciate you getting Flash away from me. It was a bit harsh to tackle him but it made me feel happy to know hat your were defending me. I will still never understand why you would but or why you ran off after. You forgot your guitar" Madeline said holding out the case.
"Actually. I bought the guitar for you" Peter told her locking eyes again.
"For me? Why would you buy me a guitar?" Madeline asked allowing her eyes to blow wide this time. Peter took a deep breath before letting everything he's ever wanted to say come free.
"Because I like you. That's why. Not just as a friend. But more. I've liked you since freshman year. The little things you would do would always make me just want to be with you more. We've had every single class together since that year and I couldn't help but let myself be captivated by you. Like you're practically an angel. But seeing you with Flash today made me jealous. I wanted to be in Flash's spot just to have the courage to ask you out. Have the courage to do anything. But watching him disrespect you even after you were so polite about the fact that you didn't want his hand on your waist was horrible. Look what I'm trying to say is that I'm in love with you Madeline Barton. So much" Peter confessed letting his face go bright red.
Silence filled the room as they held each other's gazes. They were both burning bright red after Peter's confession. Then the silence was broken by Madeline giggling.
"Well then that solves my problem. I've always been so worried that you didn't like me back that I was too chicken to tell you that I liked you Peter. So what I'm going to say that is that I'm in love with you Peter Stark" Madeline told him making Peter smile a bright smile.
"Does that mean you'll be my girlfriend?" Peter asked letting his sheepish side come back.
"If I say yes, will you go to the movies with me tomorrow?" Madeline bribed half already knowing the answer.
"Oh man that's a tough decision. I guess I'm gonna have to try and fit it in my schedule. But I can make it work" Peter joked as the both of them let out giggles.
"Perfect" Madeline said standing up and grabbing onto the guitar case and planting a kiss on Peter's cheek and heading towards the door.
Peter got another boost of confidence despite the fact that he was burning an even brighter red than before.
"Hey you missed" Peter called making Madeline stop.
Madeline turned around to ask what he had meant but was surprised to find Peter planting a kiss on her lips. It was so sudden that Madeline nearly dropped the guitar. She giggled lightly before placing the case down and wrapping her arms around Peter's neck and kissing back. Peter responded by wrapping his arms around her waist.
They both pulled back after a few seconds. They both smiled at each other and Madeline placed her face in the crook of Peter's neck and held him close.
"You wanna have a sleepover. We can spend all of tomorrow together?" Peter suggested earning a laugh.
"I'd love to. Just let me go get changed and I'll be right back" Madeline agreed grabbing onto the case and leaving the room.
Peter stood there for a second before cheering slightly to himself and dancing over to his dresser. He pulled out a pair of grey sweatpants and blue baggy shirt and changing while dancing slightly to himself. Peter took a look at himself in the mirror and couldn't help but feel happy.
Peter danced his way over to his bed before jumping onto it and laughing to himself. A laugh from the door made him look over only to find Madeline standing there. She was wearing black sweats and a red long sleeve and had her hand over her mouth as she laughed.
"You're hilarious" Madeline said earning a goofy smile as she laid down with Peter.
"And you're gorgeous" Peter complimented her as she pulled off her glasses and placed them on the bedside table.
"Goodnight Petey" Madeline yawned as she cuddled closer to Peter.
"Goodnight my angel" Peter mumbled wrapping his arms around Madeline and holding her close.
Peter and Madeline both let themselves fall asleep just like that. Smiles on their faces as they held each other close. The perfect situation for the young couple.
**Bonus**
Tony and Clint were both walking through the hallways when Tony suddenly decided to stop in front of Peter's room and look inside. Clint watched curiously as Tony started laughing and gestured for Clint to come over.
Clint looked inside to find Peter cuddled up on his bed, holding Madeline close to his chest. Even as Peter slept he looked like he was protecting her.
"Well it about damn time" Tony said earning a nod from Clint who was taking a picture to show the others.
"You know I will kill your kid if he breaks my baby's heart" Clint warned Tony giving him a side glance.
"With the speech Peter gave me earlier about how much her likes her, I think he would kill himself if he broke her heart" Tony joked which somehow ultimately relieved Clint of all worry.
Clint and Tony left the room to show the others they had taken. But they were definitely right about one thing. This would be a relationship that will last a life time.
