Peter stared down at the worksheet that had multiple chemistry problems on it. The stones glinted when the light from his lamp caught them. Peter had been doing any school work given to him which would be returned and used for marks. It's funny how Midtown had so much faith in him.
Taking a small break from looking at way too many quantum numbers for his liking, Peter leaned back and looked out his window at the lake outside. It was sunset so the light was hitting the water in such a way that it made Peter happy.
These small moments of peace are sometimes abnormal to the teen. Most of the time he locked himself in the special house built next to the house. He often time just sat in there to try and control his thoughts. The stones had both a negative and positive effects on him.
"Peter" Tony called from the doorway peeking inside to see his son in his own little world.
All Peter did was let out a small hum in response.
"Your mom and I need you downstairs. It's important" Tony replied, quickly satisfied to see his son actually look him in the eye.
"I'm working" Peter responded with his still dead eyes.
"C'mon Pete. Just this once" Tony sighed pinching his eyebrows together.
"Fine. Let me clean up then I'll be downstairs" Peter groaned running a hand through his hair.
"Alright. Be quick. We really need to talk to you" Tony said before ducking back out of the door and closing it behind him.
Peter grumbled under his breath as panic slowly built up in his chest. He tends to try and stay away from his family. Ever since he accidentally lost control and hurt Morgan, he's been terrified to even be around them. He's been trying so hard to control his powers, but it just hasn't been working.
What Peter doesn't understand is that it is because he doubts himself. He doubts that he can control himself, he doubts that he won't hurt anyone anymore, he doubts that he is good enough to wield to stones.
He doubts the fact that he was supposed to survive.
Peter didn't want to be alive.
A tear managed to track its way down his face as some emotions started to take over. Peter quickly wiped it away before regaining himself and leaving the comfort of his room.
Slowly making his way down the wooden steps, panic slowly fills his entire being as the stones started to glow. Power started to deep out around him making an array of colours. He was on the bottom step and could see Tony and Pepper sitting on the couch, with little Morgan dancing around the table.
Unfortunately all Peter could see was her bleeding from when he lost control of the power stone.
"PETEY!" Morgan yelled seeing her big brother standing on the stairs.
Peter yelped and ending up falling from the sudden scream invading his already heightened ears. Peter tumbled down onto the ground hitting his head on the floor. The powers still seeping out around him as he tried to control himself.
"OH MY GOODNESS!" Pepper exclaimed getting up just as her son hit the ground.
Morgan quickly took action and ran towards her brother. She stopped suddenly when Peter looked at her with an expression of nothing but fear and panic. Two emotions Morgan didn't like on her brothers face.
"S-Stay back. I don't want to hurt you" Peter whimpered holding himself tightly as he started to lose control to panic.
"No way" Morgan huffed before marching over and wrapping her tiny arms around her brother.
Peter was shocked when the seeping energy didn't hurt her. Yet he was more shocked that she was hugging him. 'Why is she this close? I hurt her' he thought slowly giving in to the touch of his little sister.
"I don't want to hurt you" Peter sniffled as tears welled up in his eyes again.
"You can't hurt my Petey. You're my hero. You would never hurt me on purpose" Morgan replied leaning back to look her brother in the eyes.
Peter opened his mouth to say something back, yet he just sat there. Slowly the energy disappeared and Peter pulled his baby sister close. He held her close by pulling her into his lap and holding on tight, nuzzling his nose into her hair.
The kids just sat there for a few minutes as Morgan allowed the sound of her brothers heartbeat to lull her to sleep.
Peter looked down and smiled softly seeing his sister. He looked up at his parents who stood off to the side of he couch, holding each other, smiling at their kids.
"What did you guys want to talk to me about?" Peter asked pulling Morgan up into his arms and putting her onto the couch so she had a soft spot to sleep.
"Well that later. But right now we'll start with the fact that you need to go back to school soon" Tony replied smiling weakly at his son who's eyes widened beyond belief.
"No. No dad I can't. I can't control the stones. I can't dad. Mom I can't. Mom please don't make me. I don't want to hurt someone" Peter pleaded as the sparkle that had been there for a few minutes faded once again.
"Peter. Honey. You won't hurt anyone. You've just gotta stop doubting yourself" Pepper responded leaving Tony's arms to hold her son.
Peter tensed at the sudden contact. He had let himself forget what this contact felt like.
"Doubting myself? No. It's more like I have no faith at all. Why does this have to be my life? I don't want it anymore. Why couldn't I have just died when I snapped?" Peter cried as tears cascaded down his face.
"No. Peter don't think like that. You're too valuable to leave. We can't lose you again. Please Peter don't. Just don't put yourself down like this. You're worth the world and much more" Tony replied joining Pepper in holding Peter.
Tony looked down at his son who looked completely and utterly lost. The sparkle was slowly making its way back into his eyes as he was being held by his parents.
"We love you 4000 Petey" Morgan murmured in a small voice since she had woken up the sound of her brother crying, wrapping her tiny arms around his waist.
Peter looked down at the small girl then at his parents who both gave him small smiles. Peter was finally able to stop all panic at once and just let himself be happy. Of course he still had his doubts, but now he felt more confident. Maybe he could do this.
"So about school?"
** (Time Skip) **
"Look. All I'm trying to say is that school stands for Six Cruel Hours Of Our Lives. It's a known fact" Peter argued looking his father dead in the face while eating some eggs.
"Peter. You saw that in a YouTube video. Don't think I don't know that. Now put your plate in the sink, get your bag and keys, then get to school" Tony shot back smirking at his son who seemed to be a lot better after last night.
"But seriously. There's so much more I could be doing with my life" Peter groaned placing the dirty plate in the sink, grabbing his bag from the coat hook, grabbing his Toyota keys (Tony HATED the fact that he drove that old thing) and heading towards the door.
"Peter dammit take the Audi or something. Just not the damn Toyota" Tony groaned following his son towards the door.
"Oh c'mon it's not that bad. I like my Toyota thank you very much. It doesn't scream 'hey look at how much money I spent' to everyone I pass" Peter snarked as he walked towards the red vehicle.
"WAIT FOR ME!" Morgan yelled running out of the house. Her pink dress flowing and her paw patrol backpack bouncing as she ran.
"BE CAREFUL MORGAN!" Pepper yelled from the door.
"Hey there munchkin, ready to go?" Peter asked grabbing Morgan as she ran towards him.
"I'm so ready. I've been dying to tell my friend Tom all about you. He's been visiting his grandparents back in England. Sometimes I call him Holland just to mess with him" Morgan rambled as Peter buckled her into her seat.
"That's my girl. Already coming up with nicknames since normal names are boring" Tony laughed dropping his voice while saying 'boring'.
"Wish me luck dad. Heard nobody from my year graduated. School for everyone basically stopped" Peter said throwing his bag in the back with Morgan.
"You'll do great kid. Now just double tap the watch if you get too panicked. I'll be over there faster than you will ever expect" Tony promised giving his son a quick hug.
Peter nodded before flipping his dad off and climbing into the drivers seat. Tony let out as fake gasp and placed his hand over his arc is fake shock.
"PEPPER! PETER FLIPPED ME OFF!"

Peter stared at the front of the school which just seemed to be taunting him. Yet, there was no nerves in Peter's system. He felt like he could take on the world. It's as if the Peter yesterday is a completely different person to today's Peter.
Taking the steps one by one Peter ignored all the gasps and stares he was receiving.
Finally standing in the front lobby, nerves started to come back. Yet, Peter really didn't know why.
"Peter?!" Someone exclaimed to Peter's left.
Peter turned to see who had called his name and he couldn't help but smile when he caught sight of the shocked face of his best friend.
Peter chuckled silently walking towards Ned and allowing Ned to hug him tightly. They leaned back quickly after before doing their special handshake. Yet, Ned yelped when his hand his the stones.
"HOLY SHIT!" Ned yelled looking at Peter's hand with so much fascination.
"Will you pipe down Ned?! I don't need everyone knowing I have the Infinity Stones" Peter hissed quietly before stuffing his hand in his pocket. Yet Peter couldn't stop smiling.
"Right sorry. So what happened to you?!" Ned asked as he walked Peter towards the main office.
Peter quickly sprung into a full blown explanation, saying everything with great detail. From the battle on Titan, to the soul stone, to the battle on the grounds of the destroyed complex. Yet Peter couldn't help but notice how sad Ned looked when Peter explained how he practically sacrificed himself.
"YOU DUMBASS!" MJ yelled butting into their conversation, apparently hearing the entire story.
"OW!" Peter squeaked before rubbing his arm. Once again showing off the stones.
"You. You self sacrificing dumbass. You're not allowed to die. I swear to god if I have to hear about you putting yourself in one of those situations again, I will personally come and beat your ass" MJ threatened making both boys gulp in fear.
Yet what they didn't expect was for MJ to pull them both close. She sighed before mumbling, "You losers are my only friends" and pulling away.
"HEY LOOK IT'S PENIS PARKER!"
"Flash!" Peter greeted his bully with a bright smile with the hint of a sarcastic smirk.
"Oh look who's suddenly confident. Where'd you get some balls?" Flash taunted not missing the mischief shining in Peter's eyes.
"Oh you know. Fighting a mad Titan. Turning to dust. Coming back. Fighting a mad Titan again. Nearly killing myself by snapping the bad guys out of existence. Being in a coma for three weeks. Accidentally hurting my sister. Falling into a state of depression and anxiety. Then coming back here. I don't know what else you want there Flash" Peter teased listing every aspect to Flash as if it were nothing.
"P-Parker" Flash stuttered.
"Now, its a new time. Let's start over. Hi. I'm Peter Stark. It's nice to meet you" Peter exclaimed holding out his hand, purposely showing off the stones.
"E-Eugene Thompson. But I prefer to be called Flash" Flash gulped intimidated by the teen standing in front of him.
"Great. I hope we can be friends Flash" Peter calmly cheered putting his hand back in his pocket.
"Ye-ah. Me too" Flash murmured before walking away, clearly shocked and confused by what just happened.
"Dude that was awesome" Ned breathed out his eyes holding a clear star in them.
"Way to go loser. You're no longer a wimp" MJ snarked smirking at the boy.
"Oh yeah. I've got this new life in the bag" Peter boasted stretching his neck and walking to class with his best friends.

"So How was school?"
"Oh you know. I crushed it"
"No more doubts?"
"No more doubts".
