After being captured by the Soviet Union as a young child during a war, Kalani Stark was separated from her parents and brainwashed to be a Soviet soldier. When she witnesses an innocent American being tortured, she rebels and is rescued by the Avengers.

Kalani is rescued by Natasha Romanoff and reunited with her father and mother. When Natasha, who happens to know a lot about the Soviet Union after being a Russian Spy, brings her to to her parents, they are in complete shock. Tony Stark and Pepper Potts have no idea how to raise a kid and now they have a teenage daughter.

After spending some time with Peter Parker, she is reluctant to admit that she is falling in love with him. He is one of the only people who can make her smile, which is something she rarely does. Peter grins at her when she smiles one day, after they take a break from sparring each other. "You have a nice smile," he says, sincerely. Her smile drops when she realizes that he is staring at her. She has no idea that Peter is also Spider-Man, but she suspects it.

After some time, Kalani realizes that Thanos has targeted her and many others because they each hold an infinity stone, which are Thanos's keys to ruling the universe. Kalani holds the rare soul stone in her precious charm bracelet given to her by her mother. Kalani is now Thano's prey.

Now a broken, fifteen-year-old girl with a strong will and a difficult past, Kalani has been dragged into war. In order to win, she must learn to not only put her trust in others, but to put her trust in herself.
