【SEASON 6 EPISODE 10: PART ONE】

When Julianna woke up the morning before the Tournament of Champions, her stomach was churning. In just one day, she would be fighting on live television to be claimed winner of the Sekai Taikai and that absolutely terrified her.

She turned her head, her cheek squishing into the pillow underneath her. Beside her, Eli was still fast asleep, his nose hidden in her hair. Jules carefully got out of bed and paced around her room to try and get the nervous sickness bubbling in her stomach to ease.

As she paced, Jules noticed Lexi and Demetri weren't in their bed, which made Julianna's pacing across the room detour to her nightstand. She grabbed her phone and saw a text from Lexi saying her and Demetri were having breakfast in the hotel lobby.

Jules sighed in relief, some of her nerves subsiding. She walked toward the bathroom and started to brush her teeth and do the rest of her morning routine.

When she was done, Jules walked out of the bathroom and looked to Eli, who was still asleep and curled up into their blankets. Julianna smiled at the sight, walking toward him to get back into bed.

But as Jules got closer to her boyfriend, she noticed that his breathing was quieter now—Eli didn't normally snore, but he was just a loud breather when he slept, and though his eyes were shut, his eyelids twitched ever so slightly. A small smile tugged at her lips as she realized what he was doing.

Eli was pretending to be asleep.

Jules licked her teeth, stifling a laugh, and made her way back to the bed. As she slipped under the covers, her body turned to face her boyfriend, thinking maybe he'd open his eyes and pretend to have just woken up, but Eli didn't budge. Jules moved closer, her legs tangling into his, and the corners of Eli's mouth twitched upward.

Blushing, she reached out to run her fingers through his unmade hair, still soft and free from its gel. She hummed softly, her tone teasing, and leaned in just enough so he could hear her. "It's a shame you're not awake." She murmured. "Lexi and Demetri are down at the lobby getting breakfast. We could finally have some alone time."

At that, Eli groaned theatrically and he stretched, pulling her closer. "Good morning, Sunshine." He rasped, his tone playful but still stuck in his low morning voice.

Jules rolled her eyes with a smile. "Oh, good morning, Eli." She said, her voice full of mock surprise. She let her hand trail lazily through his hair, her fingers twisting in the blue strands.

Eli chuckled, his arms tightening around her waist as he buried his face in the crook of her neck. His lips left a trail of kisses along her shoulder, collarbone, and finally her neck, sending shivers through her.

"When did you wake up?" Jules asked, making Eli lift his head, his nose brushing hers as his hand slipped beneath her shirt to rest on her waist. His thumb drew slow, lazy circles against her skin. "When you started pacing." He admitted, his smirk widening. "You looked cute."

Julianna raised her eyebrows. "I was completely stressing out."

Eli shrugged casually. "Still cute." He said through his smile as he leaned in to capture her lips in a slow kiss.

Jules smiled into the kiss, but Eli's weight shifted, his movements pushing her onto her back. She smiled even more into the kiss as he hovered over her, his hands bracketing her head in while he kissed her again.

Julianna's fingers found their way back into Eli's hair, pulling him closer. Eli lets out a soft noise, his lips moving from hers and instead traveling to her neck. Her eyes closed at the feeling, but the moment was short lived when her phone started to ring from her nightstand, the noise making Jules groan.

When Eli didn't move so she could grab her phone and just continued to kiss her neck, Julianna laughed. "Eli, Eli." Jules muttered.

The boy lifted his head from it's home in the crook of Julianna's neck, giving her time to lean and reach over for her phone.

"I'm busy right now." Eli said, moving back to her neck as Jules looked to see who was calling her.

"Miguel's calling." Jules said and Eli groaned in annoyance, rolling off of Julianna and sending her a playful glare. "And you ruined it." Eli grumbled, getting a small side eye from Jules before she answered the call.

"Hello?" Julianna grumbled, trying to make it sound like she had just woken up. Eli snickered from beside her, hiding his head in Julianna's neck to conceal his laughter.

"Gunther needs everyone downstairs. He said it's an emergency announcement." Miguel said and Jules groaned, muttering a small "we gotta go" to Eli before she started to get out of bed. "Okay, Eli and I will be down there soon."

She said a quick goodbye to Miguel as she walked toward her suitcase to grab some clothes. Jules crouched down beside her luggage and looked up to Eli still on the bed. "Emergency Sekai Taikai meeting. We've gotta get dressed and go downstairs." Jules said, pulling out the clothes she was wanting to wear.

Eli groaned, throwing his face into his pillow dramatically. "But we are busy!" He complained, wanting to get back to what he and Jules were doing before they were interrupted by the phonecall.

Jules smirked, her eyebrows raising playfully as she took off her pajama shirt. Eli's face slowly started to turn pink while his ears immediately turned red at the sight and he cleared his throat quickly.

"I'll just enjoy the view really quickly and then I'll get dressed." He said, his voice wavering as he stared at his girlfriend in front of him in awe. Julianna rolled her eyes, but she couldn't fight the smile growing at his words.

After practically dragging Eli out of bed and forcing him to get dressed and brush his teeth, Julianna and Eli made it downstairs just in time for Gunther's announcement.

Jules pushed her way to stand at the front row of her team, Eli standing behind her. Demetri's brows raised playfully at the couples late arrival and he smirked. "Look who finally showed up? Were you two busy with something more important to be on time?" Demetri teased and Jules rolled her eyes.

"Actually, yeah. We were." Eli grumbled, earning an elbow in the gut from Jules, who didn't even look back at him. Her face burned and she looked down when Demetri chuckled at Eli's answer. Eli smirked at the girl in front of her. He couldn't see her face, but he could tell just from how she was carrying herself that she was blushing.

He leaned forward, pressing his lips to her shoulder. "I love you." He whispered as he moved to stand up straight again.

Jules turned to look back at Eli and couldn't help but smile. "I love you."

"My apologies for summoning you all like this. But under the circumstances, it was necessary. The Sekai Taikai has a long and honorable tradition: we fight hard and we fight fair." Gunther explained with a disappointed sigh, making Jules turn back to the front. "That's why I am saddened to announce that one of the dojos here has tarnished that tradition by cheating."

Julianna's eyebrows furrowed. She turned to Lexi beside her, silently asking her if she knew what Gunther could be insinuating and when Lexi's eyes locked with Julianna's, she shook her head.

The man then turned to Udar Tigra on his left. "Sensei Ivanov, four of your students have tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. You are hereby eliminated." He declared and Julianna's jaw fell at the words.

People around her whispered and murmured to each other and Jules watched as each member of the now eliminated team's faces either paled or reddened in anger.

"What the hell are you talking about? Bullshit!" Sensei Ivanov yelled as he took a threatening step closer to Gunther. "Why don't you come over here and remove me yourself?"

"Sensei Ivanov!"

Jules flinched at Gunther's yells. Her eyes widened and she gulped.

"Consider yourself fortunate that your dojo wasn't banned forever.  Continue this behavior, and that could be arranged easily!" Gunther warned and after a staring battle to try and one up the other, Sensei Ivanov finally backed down.

As the sensei moved back to his team, Gunther turned to the rest of the dojos, his usual calm demeanor back as if nothing had happened. "Replacing Udar Tigra will be the dojo with the next highest point total." Gunther explained and Julianna squinted as she tried to sift through her memories of past fights, trying to remember who would have the next highest points.

From the other side of her, Devon froze, color draining from her face. "Wait... that means..."

"Cobra Kai!" Gunther cheered, raising his hand to gesture to the dojo standing directly in front of him.

The nervous, stomach-churning feeling Julianna felt when she woke up in the morning came right back at the thought of having to fight Cobra Kai again.

She could hear Lexi scoff and when Jules turned to look at her best friend, the brunette had her arms crossed flatly against her chest. "Of course."

"And on a more positive note, we'll now announce the draws for out semifinals." Gunther announced, making Cobra Kai stop their celebrating while the other teams turned to him. "In our girls bracket, the first semifinal will be Maria Alvarez versus Zara Malik. And the second match, that will pit Tory Nichols against Julianna Lawrence."

Julianna licked her lips and clenched her jaw when the churning feeling in her gut only worsened. She didn't want to keep fighting Tory. It was a repetitive battle Jules was starting to get sick of. Her eyes moved to Tory standing with Cobra Kai just as Tory turned to her.

Tory knew Jules and she knew that even though the girl looked nervous, it wasn't because she had to fight Tory again, it was because she didn't want to lose their friendship they just got back.

Tory only knew that because she was having the same stomach-sinking fear.

"In our boys bracket, our first semifinal match will be Diego Aguilar versus Kwon Jae-Sung and our second semifinal match will pit Axel Kovacevic against Robby Keene. Good luck to all our semifinalists and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow at the venue." Gunther explained but Jules hardly listened to him, her attention glued on Tory across the room.

Tory's eyes left Jules to quickly look to her senseis. Once she knew Kim and Kreese weren't looking at her, Tory turned back to Jules. Her head dipped and the corners of her mouth tried to tilt upward in a smile but they only wavered, showing Jules her own nervousness.

Jules smiled at the girl, biting the inside of her cheek as she copied the girls action.

When she finally looked away from Tory, Jules focused back on her team. Most of the other students and senseis left the area, splitting back up to their respected hotel room or to the training area.

"Axel the invincible and another battle against Tory, great." Demetri grumbled sarcastically. Jules turned around to face the taller boy, but before she could say anything, Johnny yelled to them from the stairwell, calling the students over to him, Chozen, and Daniel.

The three senseis gestured for the students to sit on the steps in front of them and Julianna took a seat on one of the lower steps. She leaned back against Eli's legs since he was sitting two steps above her as Robby sat beside her.

"Screw this horseshit, man! How many times do we have to kill that son of a bitch until he stays dead?" Johnny cursed as he paced in front of the stairs. It reminded of Jules of how she paced in front of her and Eli's bed earlier in the morning.

"Kreese is like a cockroach, but he is not one fighting on mat." Chozen said and Daniel immediately nodded his head, hoping to ease the kids after they watched Johnny's anger. "Sensei Chozen is right. We have the rest of the day to tune up for tomorrow." Daniel said, a reassuring smile on his face as he turned to the students, specifically the captains directly in front of him.

The twins looked nervous, and watching the two of them, Daniel could see a lot of resemblance between them.

He noticed they both had a habit of tapping their foot when they were anxious, their brows furrowed in the same way, and they both had a slight tilt to their heads as if waiting for someone to break the silence and tell them what to do next.

Even the way they glanced at each other was telling. It wasn't just a quick look; it was a subtle exchange, almost telepathic, as if they were checking in with one another for their fights. Frankly, it freaked Daniel out.

When Jules took a deep breath, Robby followed suit, as though breathing together might steady their nerves. Julianna looked up at Daniel, nervously running her hands down her thighs to dry her sweaty palms. "So what's the plan?"

Daniel opened his mouth to speak but before any words could come out, Johnny took a step toward his kids, nodding his head. "Knock Kreese's head off his neck for starters." He said and Julianna nodded her head immediately, pointing to her dad. "I like it."

Chozen noticed the glare Daniel sent to Johnny and pushed his way in between the two men, knocking them out of their glares and focusing on the students in front of him. "Senseis need time to discuss." Chozen explained before his eyes trailed down the stairs until they landed on Jules and Robby. "Go get changed and meet me at gym."

Jules and Robby nodded, starting to stand up. "Yes, Sensei." The two of them muttered as the rest of their team started to stand up from behind them and walk back to their rooms.

After training with Chozen for about an hour, Jules and Robby got dragged out of the hotel by Daniel, Johnny, and Miguel.

Their senseis had the three teens run through the streets of Barcelona while Johnny and Daniel chased them on a small cart, Johnny throwing glass bottles at them when he wanted one of the three to run faster.

Jules yelped as the sound of shattering glass echoed from just behind her. Her running started to pick up as she looked back, her dad and Daniel about fifteen feet behind her.

"Come on, Jules! Picture concert tickets are at the finish line!" Johnny screamed, trying to get his daughter to run faster.

Jules chuckled, turning back to face in front of her. She started to run faster, passing Miguel and Robby.

"There we go! That's my girl!"

After that, they trained at a few monuments; Jules and Robby sparring–sometimes Miguel playfully jumping in before the senseis decided to split the captains up. While Robby sparred with Daniel, Jules sparred with Johnny and Miguel reffed the two fights.

Jules had been doing surprisingly well at fighting her father. She blocked a majority of his punches and kicks. Anything she couldn't block, Jules made up for by scoring her own points against the man.

Johnny went to throw a punch toward his daughter, but Julianna ducked under his fist and moved to stand on his side. Since Johnny was still finishing his move, Jules used the time she had to kicked the back of his lower thigh.

The action made Johnny stumble forward and Julianna used the time to kick her other foot out, her dad falling right into her kick. "Point, Little Lawrence!" Miguel yelled, earning a small glare from Jules.

When she turned back to her dad and giggled at the stunned look on his face. "What? Can't take a kick to the knee, old man?" Jules teased, bouncing back and forth on her feet with her fists raised, ready for the fight to continue.

Johnny glared at his daughter, a low laugh emitting from his chest. "Alright, smartass." He muttered, jumping at her to punch her.

Jules yelped, the scared noise turning into a laugh as she continued to spar with her dad.

i loved the jules and eli scene (im really nervous if that was too much ...😏... because last time i gave you guys some steamy shit there was a negative uproar and now i'm scarred)
