Chapter 47.

Peter Parker sticks to the tall wall towards his bedroom window. He carefully slides his window open and while Cat sits on top of the bunk bed that May set up, Peter pulls off his mask, thinking it was just his sister inside and crawls along the ceiling towards the door. He carefully closes it and silently hops down onto the floor, letting out a sigh of relief. He turns around and his smile drops, right there was his best friend with a big LEGO Death Star that spills from his lap and lands on the floor with a crash.

"What was that!?" May's voice exclaims from outside the room.

"Uh, it's nothing!" Peter panics, "Nothing!"

"You're the Spider-Man," Ned breathes, Cat winces, "From YouTube,"

"I'm not," Peter desperately shakes his head, pressing a hand to his chest and making the suit drop from his body, "I'm not!"

"You were on the ceiling!"

"No, I wasn't! Ned, what are you doing in our room!?" Peter asks.

"May let him in," Cat says, covering her eyes with her hands so she wouldn't have to see her little brother in his boxers, "And put on some pants!"

Peter rolled his eyes at her and hurriedly snatches a nearby gray sweater and holds it in front of his boxers.

Ned continued, "You say we were gonna finish the Death Star!"

"Ned, you can't just bust into our room!"

May throws open the door, laughing and waving around the smoke that filters into the room, "That turkey meatloaf recipe is a disaster. Let's go to dinner. Thai? Ned, you want Thai?"

"Yes,"

"No! He's got a thing," Peter quickly says.

"A thing to do after," Ned agrees suddenly, nodding.

"Okay," May gives them a short strange look before motioning to Peter, "Maybe put on some clothes,"

Peter gives an awkward smile and nods before the door swings shut, allowing him to breath sighs in relief.

"Oh, she doesn't know!?" Ned exclaims in disbelief.

"Nobody knows! Well, Cat knows. And Mr Stark knows, and Briana knows because she made mine and Cat's suits. That's it," Peter says.

"Oh, Briana Stark made you that!? Dude, are you an Avenger?" Ned asks.

Peter pauses before shrugging. "Yeah, basically,"

As Ned nearly passes out, Peter continues, "Ned. You can't tell anyone about this, you have to keep all of this a secret,"

"A secret? But why?"

Peter gestures to the door, "Because you know what Aunt May's like! If she finds out that people try and kill me every night, she won't let me do this anymore!"

"I'm considering not letting you this," Cat says.

Peter glances at his sister before he looks back at his best friend, "Come on, Ned, please,"

"Okay, okay, okay, I'll level with you." Ned sucks in a deep breath, "I don't think I can keep this a secret. This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, Peter!"

"Ned, May cannot know. I cannot do that to her right now. You know? I mean, everything's that happened with her, I—please?" Peter begs.

When Ned finally agrees to keep this a secret, Peter runs his hands through his hair, "I can't believe this is happening right now,"

"Can I try the suit on?"

"No,"

"How's it work? Magnets? How do you shoot the strings?"

Peter quickly strides him towards the door, "I'm gonna tell you at school tomorrow,"

"Great!" Ned skids to a stop by the door to ask, "Wait, then. How do you do this and the Stark Internship?"

"This is the Stark Internship," Peter says.

"Ohhh,"

"Just get out of here,"

As soon as the door's closed, Peter groans and has a exhausted expression.

"This is gonna blow up in your face, you know that, right?"

"Yeah, I know,"

"Delmar's Sandwiches was destroyed..." a professional-sounding voice says as the news play on the tv. Briana glances up from her laptop screen that holds the two iron suits she's working on to stare at the tv from across her bed, "in an explosion...after an ATM robbery was thwarted by Queens' own crime stopper...the Spider-Man,"

A picture of Peter, dressed in his red and blue suit, walking out of the port-a-potty and trying to pick a piece of toilet paper off of his foot comes onto the screen next, Briana giggles at the picture.

"As the Spider-Man attempted to foil their heist, a powerful blast was set off, slicing through the bodega across the street. Miraculously, no one was harmed,"

Briana frown, if these weapons were out on the streets, then no one was safe. But what could she do? She agreed on the Accords, she couldn't get her suit and go find out what's going on, could she? Well, maybe this last time. As long as she doesn't get caught by her parents.

———

Coach Wilson was blowing his whistle and gym class had began. There were various activities set out for the class to do. Maya had teamed up with Cat while Briana teamed up with Starr, each one of them decided to do sit-ups. So, Starr held Briana's feet down, Briana started her sit-ups, which wasn't easy. If she can fight aliens coming through a portal or stop a maniac robot, then she can handle sit-ups. "Hey, Bri, why don't you go with Flynn?" Starr asked, gesturing to where her twin brother's best friend stood with Flash as the two waited to climb the rope.

"I don't like him, Starr. Besides me and Maya are planning Homecoming with Liv, remember?" Briana reminded, she had met Liv through Starr since the two were best friends.

"But he likes you, Bri. Besides, wouldn't it be better for you to go with him?" Starr asked.

"I don't even know if I'm gonna go. It depends if the right guy ask me, and no, I'm not talking about Flynn," she said.

Starr hummed and nodded, "Come on, let's go see what Liv is up to,"

"Starr—" Briana sighed and didn't even bothered to finish her sentence as the two of them went over to Liv, and they decided to play a little game.

"Well, for me, it'll be f*** Hawkeye, kiss Thor, and marry Captain America," Starr said.

"What about Spider-Man?" Liv asked.

"What about him?" Starr asked.

"Didn't you see that video? He took down four guys. I mean, that's pretty impressive," Briana says, not even noticing that two certain people were listening.

"Oh my god, you're crushing on Spider-Man," Liv gushes.

Briana felt her eyes widen and blushes faintly, pleading to herself that they didn't see it, "What? No, I'm not,"

"He's probably like thirty years old. I mean, he's probably burnt," Starr states.

"I mean, I wouldn't care. I'd still love him for the person he is on the inside," she said.

"Can't you ask your dad to let you meet him? That way, you can find out what he looks like and how old he is," Liv says.

Briana didn't say anything. If she wasn't carefully, then she'd be letting everyone know that she knew both Spider-Man and Waterstorm.

"So, would you kiss Spider-Man?" Starr asked.

Briana's face flushed red, her mind going back to that kiss after the whole Avengers' civil war. Oh god, the feeling of butterflies came back into her stomach. What was she going to say without giving away Peter's identity!? But before anything could be said...

"Peter knows Spider-Man!" Everyone in the hall fell silent while Peter panicked and glared at his best friend. "They're friends," Ned added.

And of course, Flash heard and came sliding down the ropes that hung from the ceiling to the floor. "Yeah, like Coach Wilson and Captain America are friends," Flash commented smugly, as he walked over. Man, did Briana want to wipe that smug look off his face.

"I-I've met him, yeah. A couple times, but it's...um...through the Stark internship," Peter lied, gritting teeth as he glared at Ned. "I'm not really supposed to talk about it,"

"Well, that's awesome," Flash started, "Hey, you know what? Maybe you should invite him to Liz's party. Right?"

"Yeah, I'm having people over tonight. You're more than welcome to come," Liv said.

"A party?"

"Yeah, it's gonna be dope. You should totally invite your personal friend, Spider-Man," Flash joked, enjoying practically bullying Peter.

Not only was a Flash making Cat angry, but he was making Briana furious. And that wasn't a good sign. Briana brought her fists behind her back and clenched them, trying to keep herself from punching Flash or giving him what he deserves. She was this close to actual punching him, but she restrained herself. Even if Flash was annoying, there was no need to get violence, right? Oh who was she kidding, she was about to get off the bleachers and delivered a good punch to his face right now! It was not easy to restrained herself when Flash was being annoyed.

The bell then rang, and everyone began to head to class. Peter looks at Ned and goes over at him, "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Helping you out. Weren't you listening? Briana has a crush on you." Ned tells his best friend what they just heard.

"Dude, you're an Avenger. If any one of us has a chance with the Briana Stark, it's you,"

Spider-Man belongs to Marvel

Briana belongs to me

Cat belongs to Crazy_Fangirl_110
