He did not want to do this. Let's hear it again; Peter did NOT want to do this. Maybe he didn't have to. It could wait another day, right? Granted, he was living in the tower, with the Avengers, he was bound to be found out eventually. But maybe he could wait...
"Peter you can't put this off any longer, you need the meds" Ned warned him from his phone screen. Peter groaned and looked down again at the FaceTime.
"Maybe I can Ned. Just lie a little longer-"
"Lie about what?" Someone asked from the ceiling. CLINT asked. From the vents. Peter screamed, and accidentally dropped his phone, and hung up on Ned in the process.
"CLINT WHAT THE HECK?" Peter yelled, at the ceiling, only for Clint to come waltzing in the door. Peter scoffed and went to grab his phone from the ground.
"Thanks for invading my privacy, by the way" Peter grumbled, standing up to meet Clint's eyes. He shrugged.
"I'm a spy. It's literally what I do" He said nonchalantly. Peter rolled his eyes. "So what have you been lying about, kid?" Clint asked, trying to stare Peter down.
"Some spy you are..." he shot back. Clint laughed, and sat down on Peter's bed, much to his dismay. He let out a long sigh, and sat next to the archer.
"What is it you are so nervous about confessing to the team?" He asked, his voice softer, and different. More open. Pete looked down at his hands, then back up at Clint.
"Think I should schedule a team meeting?" He laughed nervously, and he patted Peter on the back.
"Yeah kid"
*WHOOSH! Where did the time go? It skipped away*
Peter Benjamin Parker was a nervous wreck, as he sat on a couch in the common room, surrounded by the entire Avengers team. He wrung his hands, anxious about the event about to transpire.
"Why have you gathered us, Man of Spiders?" Thor asked, filling the silence. Peter let out a shaky breath, and sat up a little straighter.
"Uh... I uh..." he tried to start, but was interrupted by a loud alarm blaring throughout the tower.
Tony looked over at a screen, showing a news broadcast of an attack on a big ass bridge somewhere. Everyone shot out of their seats, and began suiting up.
"Damnit... kid can you tell us later?" Tony asked softly. Peter just nodded, and made his way to his room to change into his suit. "Where you going?" Tony asked, while simultaneously calling his suit using Friday.
"Uh... my room to change..." he mumbled. Tony gave him a look. One of those looks like "you're kidding?"
"You do realize you could use the team locker room? It's much quicker, and everything you could need is down there..." Tony offered. Peter's eyes widened, and he shook his head 'no'.
"Whatever you say kiddo" he said, then made his way outside towards the fight. Peter let out a relieved breath, and quickly went to his room to change into his Spiderman suit.
He made his way out to the battle in less than seven minutes, which was a personal record. He swung to the fight, webs blazing, and kicked a robot in the face.
"Take that, lifeless tin can that has no brain! He-yah!" He was on a roll, kicking, punching, smashing, webbing, and all together DESTROYING these robots.
"Kid! Get down to the main fight!" Tony told him through the com. He replied a short 'ok', and made his way to the front.
"Make way for Spider- OOF" he cried, when he was slammed in the chest by a robot flung by the Hulk.
"Sorry Spider" He heard, but he barely could through the labored breathing, because SOMETHING in his chest failed.
This is just great. First, Peter's binder had been on for far longer than it should have been, he desperately needed his testosterone, and he would come out to the Avengers in the least ideal way possible.
His breathing sped up even more at the thought.
"Guys? Where's Spidey?" He could hear Tony, but couldn't comprehend him, because Peter was feeling light headed, and could see black spots flooding his vision.
"Who's that breathing funny over the coms?" Natasha asked, and Peter recognized the sound of Tony panicking.
Then his vision went black.
The next thing Peter knew, the battle was over, but he was still lying on the sidewalk, still pretty bad with breathing.
"PETE!" Tony yelled, and wrapped his arms around the kid, further blocking his breathing.
"Tony get off of him, he can't breathe!" Wanda cried, her obviously having read Peter's mind, and Tony let go of him like he was contagious.
"FIX HIM" he cried. Wanda, Steve and Natasha surrounded Peter, trying to coax his suit off of his chest, which sent him into a state of panic. They'd see his binder. They'd figure out he's trans.
Wanda, in seeing his terrified expression, glimpsed into his mind again, and figured out what was causing him so much harm. Her face went from worried for Peter, to soft, and then to determined.
"Natasha, grab him and bring him into the jet" she said, and Nat complied, lifting Peter up into her arms. "Everyone else!" She addressed the rest of the team, who were all trying to get to the boy. "Stay back! Do NOT come inside! Actually except you, Bruce, we need a doctor" she said, and everyone looked confused, until a glare from Nat prompted them to follow her orders.
"What's going on?" Natasha asked once the four were inside the closed jet. Wanda didn't explain anything, and proceeded to lean down the face Peter.
"It's ok, only me, Natasha, and Bruce will know, ok Peter?" She said, and the boy did his best attempt at nodding. Wanda then took off Peter's suit, and Natasha gasped.
"Ohhhh THATS whats going on..." she looked down at Peter's binder. Wanda was trying to get it off of him.
The moment she did, she put a blanket over his chest, and left it to Bruce to figure out what to do with him.
"I think it was mainly the binder constricting his breath, and getting the wind knocked out of him by the Hulk certainly didn't help his case" he explained, giving Peter a basic check up. Wanda nodded, and escorted Natasha from the jet.
When they got outside, everyone was staring at them in anticipation, worried for their collective son.
"Well?" Tony asked, his voiced flooded with panic. Wanda just smiled politely.
"Peter is fine. His breathing was just constructed by something" she tried to explain without giving away any details. Tony gave her an 'on with it' look, and gestured for her to continue talking, but she just shrugged and walked away with Nat.
Tony attempted to board the jet and see Peter, but Bruce wouldn't let him, and put it on lockdown. The rest of the team realized they were stranded the moment the jet flew off.
"What do we do now?" Steve asked, as Tony and Falcon laughed and flew off.
Back at the tower, things were oddly peaceful, considering the fact that one of the members was currently passed out, but also had a family meeting to continue.
"I'm BORED. When's he gunna wake up..." Clint grumbled, and dropped out of his place in the vents. The rest of the team mumbled in agreement, but went straight back to the silence once more.
"Uhh... hi everyone" Peter said quietly, as he walked in the room, effectively waking everyone up from their bored states. "I uh... I should probably explain what happened" he said, his voice barely audible. Tony scooter over on the couch, and patted a spot for Peter to sit at.
The teen complied, and built up the courage to tell the team what happened. They all paid the upmost attention, and only stopped looking at him while they were blinking.
"I'm uhh..." Peter's throat clenched, and he realized how difficult it would be to tell his family about himself. "I'mtransgender" He said quickly, and curled his body in, slammed his eyes shut, and anticipated the negative reaction.
"Thank you so much for telling us, and trusting us, kid" Tony said, and hugged Peter.
The teen still couldn't wrap his mind around the hug, before others spoke up.
"You are still the mightiest I know, man of Spiders. Thank you, Peter Tonyson" Thor said, and it was honestly too amazing to hear acceptance from him for Peter to correct him.
"Hey Peter. Thanks for letting us know, and trusting us enough to do so. Now I can properly heal you, instead of you flipping out every time" Bruce laughed.
Peter never really knew how amazing you would feel when you came out to your closest family, and they accepted you immediately.
"Thank you guys" Peter choked out, almost unable to speak because of the tears welling in his eyes, and his brain screaming "HOLY FUCKSTICKS, THEY REACTED AMAZINGLY"
Maybe Peter was spending too much time with Wade...
Once everyone was done with being supportive, and they had all given Peter a group hug, Clint spoke up.
"So THIS is what you needed to tell everyone. And I'm assuming the 'meds' you and Ned spoke of was the testosterone" he said, and Peter sheepishly nodded. Tony smiled, and patted Peter on the back.
"We can get you that, son" he abruptly stood up, and clapped his hands together. "So what's for dinner, everyone? Pizza? Peter you wanna pick?" Tony asked. Peter nodded.
"Pizza sounds great"
~BONUS SCENE~
Wade walked up to Peter, who was holding his head to his knees, and his arms wrapped around his shins. He was staring out at the city below, and there was probably a pretty mellow expression behind the mask.
"What's up baby boy?" Wade asked, sitting down next to Peter. The boy flinched at the nickname, and he could head the sharp inhale from Spiderman. "What's wrong?"
"I just uh..." he began to speak, and Wade turned so he was directly facing the teen. "I uh... I'm transgender" he barely even whispered the last part. "So the nickname. I guess I'd understand if you didn't want to call me that anymore" he said.
Wade gasped in utter shock and disbelief.
"Why on Earth WOULDN'T I? You're transgender. You know what that means? You are a boy! Ok baby boy?" Wade said, hands placed on both of Peter's shoulders like he was trying the shake the baby.
Peter laughed, and sniffled a bit.
"Ok"
