Capisce Part 2

"Yo Pete, you wanna come over to build a lego Millennium Falcon with me later?" Ned asked Peter from his adjacent locker during a passing period before his science class.

"I mean, my tech class has that field trip later, so I'll be by at around four," Peter nodded, an excited smile stretching across his face, until Ned walked away, a bounce in his step.

"I like Star Trek better" he mumbled to MJ next to him, who promptly laughed at her friend's misery. Though, misery wasn't the right word. Peter was perfectly fine with building Lego Star Wars figures, because he loved spending time with Ned.

"So the field trip. No one from our other class is coming?" She asked, changing topics. Peter shuddered at the memory of when he outed his powers to his entire class that one fateful day. He shook his head.

"No, my tech class is mostly the upperclassmen, and they hadn't gone with us on the last one" he explained, shutting his locker and starting to make his way with MJ to their next period.

The first bell rang, signaling the end of passing, so he waved goodbye and walked into his class. Everyone was rowdy, anticipating the field trip to Stark Tower, almost all of them never having been. The teacher wasn't in the class yet, so kids were up out of their seats and talking.

Peter sat down and quickly texted Tony that they were leaving soon, and to be ready, when the teacher walked in and waved her hand around in the universal gesture of "be quiet and go to your desks"

"So you guys all have the incredible opportunity to visit Tony Stark in his tower, and might even see some of the Avengers!" She said, excited herself, which was new. This woman was nefarious for constantly being stoic.

"Now I expect the best behavior, as you are ALL seniors- except you Peter- and should know best" she said, quickly glancing at him and drawing all pairs of eyes in the room to the sophomore in the class. He sheepishly waved, and wished the teacher would just get back to her lecture.

She did, and eventually they got to board the bus and make their way across the city, the ride taking a little over 30 minutes, and before Peter knew it, he was in front of Stark tower again, but this time he didn't actually need to stop another robbery.

The moment he stepped in the lobby he encountered his first problem. The receptionist knew him, and very well could compromise his situation by even saying hi.

It seemed luck (and a billionaire) was on his side though, when he checked in for a field trip and she gave him a slight smile and a wink.

Walking through the next door with his class and confidence written on his face was a mistake. He shouldn't have been confident. Especially when someone's adoptive father's boyfriend was currently drinking some chamomile and reading a book, waiting for the class.

Now Stephen Strange was many things. Sorcerer Supreme, an Avenger, a once world renowned surgeon, but he was no actor.

So, when the class walked in, and he laid eyes upon Peter and promptly spit out his drink, then explained how he "wasn't expecting the kids so soon", everyone knew it was a total lie.

No one said anything though, pretty much assuming there was a demon possessing their teacher or something and that's what spooked him. Seemed more likely than Peter Parker having a personal connection to Dr. Strange.

He stood up and began leading the class to some of Tony's labs on a different floor, and brought them to a hallway that lead to Peter's favorite elevator. It was the only one that played his music taste because he had to compromise with Tony who said "They Might Be Giants and Heathers is not a good mix of elevator music for my entire 90 story building"

Maybe coming to Tony's tower wasn't a good idea. On the way to the elevator, they ran in to Bucky. The same Bucky with the metal magnetic arm.

The same Bucky with magnets plastered all OVER his arm. One of which is a cheesy school photo magnet Tony ordered as a joke because it came in a bundle with the mug that had Peter's face on it, and the mousepad too.

Bucky is a super spy, so when he saw Peter, there wasn't even a reaction. One would say he didn't even see the group of children. He could very well have been sleepwalking. Nobody would have been able to tell the difference.

Peter just hoped that when his friends started to talk to Bucky, and ask him questions and stuff, that they wouldn't notice his freaking picture, that because it was a school photo, looked awful.

"Why is it a star?" Someone asked as the elevator opened and Dr. Strange tried to hurdle the kids into the small box, needing to keep to a specific time table.

The in the elevator Whistling in the Dark was playing and a girl, Tammy, who was much closer to Peter than any other kid looked at him and asked, "hey, isn't this your favorite song or something?" And Peter went red.

Seeing his predicament, Stephen magically made the elevator go up faster, and soon enough they were right outside the door to the door to the door of Tony's labs.

There to greet them was Bruce, him being familiar with the labs and the best candidate to lead the group.

"Hello kids, and welcome to the labs. Today you're going to be able to tinker with some safe scrap materials" he said, earning a groan from the kids at the emphasized word, and a groan of relief from the teacher.

Banner smiled, and led them through the multiple doors, bypassing all the security scanners to let the children through. Not that it mattered for Peter. He was allowed in literally every place of the tower. Bruce knew this, and was tempted to turn the bypass off just to mess with the teen, but decided against it, fearing the wrath of Tony.

Inside the labs, there were tons of boxes of scraps and wires and blank blueprints.

Then Tony walked out, and the quiet chatter from all the kids immediately ceased.

"Sup kids. Time for you to build some sh-"
"Tony" Bruce interrupted.
"Stuff" he finished, his eyes a bit wide, and he clicked a button on a remote in his hands, casing long tables to pop up out of the ground.

All the kids ran to them like moths to a flame, and Tony pulled Peter aside before he could too.

"If you want you can come to my personal lab and-"

"No, absolutely not, there is no way I'm doing anything that could be seen as suspicious, and different. I'm going to have a normal class field trip today" Peter said, not even letting his adoptive father finish his sentence.

Walking over to Tammy, he told her about an awesome idea for an invention he had, that they should totally try, and just like that they were building.

They say times flies when you're having fun, but it goes at lighting speed when you're on a field trip. Before Peter knew it, the class was supposed to leave.

Instead of being escorted back down by Stephen, who Peter TOTALLY saw go into that empty room with Tony about an hour ago, Tony was leading them down.

It was imitating, being in his presence, (at least, for everyone else) so it was practically silent in the elevator, allowing the sounds of Candy Store from Heathers to play loud and clear.

Soon enough, they made it to the lobby, and were saying their goodbyes to the billionaire. Walking out of the doors, a meet feet from freedom, Peter made his final mistake.

"Bye dad"
