"Um Mr. Security guard sir?"

Everyone turned around to Iris.
"Yes Miss Champion Iris?" The guard said.
"I'm going to take the rest of the day off."

Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie smiled. Serena had a concerned look on her face.

"B-b-but Miss Champion Iris! What about all the other people?!"
"They can have lunch with me tomorrow to make up for today!"
"B-but!"
Iris wagged her finger, "That's direct orders you know!"
"Y-yes!" The guard went to go tell the other guards.

"Let's go exploring! Is there a forest near here?!" Iris asked excitedly.
"Yeah! Just outside of Lumiose City!" Ash answered.
"Great! Let's go-"

"Not so fast Iris." Iris shivered.

The gang turned around.
"Hey Drayden! Long time no see!"
"Ah, Ash. What a surprise." Drayden turned to face Iris.
"And where do you think your going?"
"To the forest?" Iris said half laughing.
"That will not be."

Drayden turned to face Ash and the others.
"If your friends went through all the trouble of coming here to see you, then you shall take them to your penthouse."
"Penthouse?!" Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie said at the same time.

Iris scratched the back of her head, "Guess we're going to the penthouse then!"

Everyone started walking to the curb.
"Ah Iris..it was only yesterday I was teaching you to fight in the snow..."

Drayden called a limo to pick them up while Iris, Ash, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, and Dedenne were waiting on the sidewalk.

"Oh! Iris! You haven't met Dedenne yet!" Bonnie pulled out Dedenne from her bag. He woke up from his nap.
"Aww! He's adorable!!" Iris pulled on his cheeks.

"Dedenne!" Dedenne started charging electricity.

"Did you know Dedenne's a fairy type too?!" Bonnie added.

Iris stopped pinching the pokemon's cheek. "What?!!"
"DEDENEEEEH!!!"
"WAAAH!!!"

Dedenne used discharge on Iris as she fell to the ground, then hopped back into Bonnie's bag.

"A-are you okay?!" Clemont asked.
Serena turned her face away and smirked.
"Serves her right for squeezing poor Dedenne." She mumbled. Wait, what am I saying?! I've only just met Iris! I should at least give her a chance...as long as she dosen't-

Serena's train of thought was interrupted with Ash's laughing.

"Huh?" Serena turned around.

"ASH KETCHUM!!!" Iris said steamed.
"What?" Ash said through his laughs. He grabbed Iris' hands and helped her up. "It's just like when you met pikachu!"
"Pika pika!"
"Grrr!"
