Nice to meet you Riya! I saw you are currently writing a story called "Arranged Soulmates". This title is very interesting! I read the blurb and I noticed it mentioned a place called "Riyashabh". I'm assuming this is a fictional place. Can you tell us a bit more about it?

Ya sure.. actually RiyaShabh isn't any place but the Ship name of my leads - Riya and Rishabh.. And they aren't fictional chuckles*

Ah! thought it actually was fictional lol! I'm not that good at geography! X3 Anyways, as I'm sure the title suggests, I'm guessing two people get a romantic relationship arranged for them? Who are these people?

Yes... The two people are Rishabh Pant, a popular Cricketer of India and Riya Birla, A Physiotherapist in the national cricket team.. they get married by accident and find love in their marriage but with twists & turns!

Ooo! Cool! Do their personalities contradict (opposite of) each other?

Ya sort of... Rishabh believes in love but Riya doesn't, this book is about how her hatred changes into love for Rishabh!

Woah! How long did it take for you to come up with the plot for this book?

Well ngl, 15 days approximately

Impressive! Was there ever a time when you thought the plot idea you had wouldn't work?

Yes, it was, as I thought it was too common but the response I got; is enough for love!

That's beautiful! Have you ever had the book reviewed? If so, was it reviewed well or poorly?

I actually thought about it and visited a shop too but unfortunately, the shop closed being my book was never reviewed.. well I'm still finding a good review book (:

Ah okay! I hope you can find a good review shop soon! Do you have any hobbies?

Yes... It's Singing, Dancing and Acting... Playing cricket too

Cool! Have your hobbies played a big role in making you a better author? If so, how?

Well yes... I'm playing cricket from my childhood and also got into an academy for this *hehe... I joined Wattpad for reading but I found my love for writing and it became my passion.

Well, I'm lucky enough to not have it till now... I just hope it doesn't come in the future too!

Wow, it's cool you've never had writer's block! I get it too often! saw you also have your own graphic shop, which has me wondering: did you make all your book covers yourself?

No, 1-2 is made by others (:

Ooo! How long have you been making graphics?

Since joining watty as a writer.. stopped it in mid but started it now again!

Nice! What was the first ever graphic you made? Was it for yourself or a friend?

It was for myself.. the book got deleted for some reason.. but the cover was made by me.

Great! I'm sorry your book got deleted, though! Have you ever rewritten the book that got deleted?

No... Actually, the idea wasn't so great so I decided to drop it!

Ah! Well, that's okay! Do you write on any other platforms besides Wattpad?

No, actually.

Oh! Well, that's fine. Does your family know that you use Wattpad? If they do, how do they react?

They don't. I belong to an Indian family and if they got to know all this, they're surely gonna snatch my phone so No!

Oof- It's too bad they likely wouldn't approve of Wattpad. Do they at least know about your passion for writing?

Yes, they do as I write regularly in my diary!

Cool! Do they support your passion?

Not fully but partially they do.

At least they support you somewhat. Do you have any other socials? How do you use social media as an author?

I have Instagram. And write only on watty and I have insta for my personal use.

Wonderful! What inspired your first-ever Wattpad story? Was it something from your life, perhaps?

It was my love for cricket! Which led me to become an author... Perhaps, my cousin praised the mini-stories I write in my diary and got the idea

How nice! Do you plan on turning your passion for writing or cricket into a career?

I thought to but alas! Now I can't due to extra pressure on my studies from my parents.

Hopefully, you will soon! I saw one of your stories called "Childish Love" which has over 30k reads! Congrats on that accomplishment! Did you ever think it would get that many reads when you first published it?

No, actually it was my first story... So very happy but I never thought I'll come this long way!

I think it's amazing that it's come so far! Quite an accomplishment! Can you share a bit about the plot of "Childish Love?"

Actually our hero, Shivaay loses his memory in an accident and acts like a 5 yr old kid when he meets Anika, his long-lost love... Anika heals him and about their love life

Awwww that sounds sweet! What's your favorite genre of stories to write / read?

It's cricket and read generals too

How cool! What do you mean when you say "generals?"

General fiction.

Ah! I love fiction stories too! I saw you love to sing. Do you have a favorite type of music?

Yes it's Indian and English, especially 1D and more iconic songs

Fascinating! I'm a huge fan of pop music. Do you have a favorite singer that inspires you?

It's Zayn and ED Sheeran... I love their songs!

Yes obviously... I love listening to music and it calms me down and helps me to think of more ideas!

I feel the same way! Music always gives me my best ideas! Is your writing style written in a screenplay format? Or is it a bit different?

It's almost the same but in my style and my words!
