The first thing that registered to me was the noise. People are screaming, angry, and menacing. When I opened my eyes, it was chaos. People are attacking each other, cars are burning, display windows of boutiques are shattered open. The first question I came up with is, where am I? This doesn't make sense because last night I was at the Erinyes' compound after the meeting with the Elders of the counsel.

I looked around me and I was horrified. What if they hurt me too?

Within my peripheral vision, I saw a familiar figure prancing toward me with at least a dozen of familiar faces I remember seeing at the Erinyes'compound.

I called for him ''Damon! What are we doing here?'' He did not answer me, they just continued on moving forward, and if they don't stop they're going to run me over.

I held my hand up ''Damon stop, what are you doing?'' No response. Panic bloomed in my chest like flowers in spring. I ducked down and covered my head with my arms. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact. It never came.

I opened my eyes and realized that they just went right through me. Through me. I was shocked right down my toes.

''What's happening?'' My lips trembled as my hands shake. My gaze followed the direction that they are heading. There was a woman, floating in the air. I can feel my brows knitted together so I ran where Damon and the other Erinyes went.

I froze dead on my tracks, I felt my brows retreat to my scalp. ''Oh my god.'' I gasped, my trembling fingers covering my mouth.

I'm seeing me. Me! Myself, floating, arms raised side by side palm facing up. I felt cold and disturbed, how can this be even possible? I inspected myself and see what was wrong then I noticed that my hands are almost transparent. I don't know how to describe it other than it's scary and physically impossible.

It's as if my soul got detached from my body. I walked forward and stood right behind the Erinyes who are all angry and I can feel that this will not end up good.

''Eris!'' One of the Erinyes shouted. My eyes almost bulged out, I can't breathe. ''Stop this chaos in this instance!''

Eris possessed me already? How?

I saw my body floating in the air laughing devilishly. Her voice was loud and chilling. A voice that certainly is not mine. I can't believe that Eris managed to take over my body and is now causing this ruckus.

Damon moved forward holding up a white gun ''Eris, leave that body now'' he growled, eyes blazing with violent intent. Another laugh came piercing through using my helpless lips.

''Or what, Erinyes? You'd kill me?'' Eris bellowed mockingly slowly enunciating words. ''I'd like to see all of you try.''

Without any further words, all Erinyes let lose and I saw, actually saw their appearance change. Their eyes are bloodshot, their skin looked scaly and their hairs have snakes intertwined with them. They all fired at Eris which is inside my body. I was beyond scared.

They all tried to get close to where my body is, climbing on top of trees and lunging for Eris. Some fired guns with hooks and ropes but it's not enough. I watched helplessly as they all try to defeat Eris. My heart skips a beat every time they hit my body, thinking that it will potentially kill me, too. I don't know what to do or if I should try to do something, anything.

''You all look like fools. What made you think that you can defeat me?'' Eris mocked once again and the Erinyes' became more agitated.

''Light her up!'' A woman screamed.

''Find an opening.'' Another suggested.

''Move, move, move!'' Damon ordered. Then they all aimed at Eris and fired at her. It was like fireworks on new year's eve.
They are doing everything they can, but it's not enough.

Eris swooshed her hands back and forth along with an eerie smoke ''kill each other.''

All of the Erinyes fell to the ground but quickly stood up. They all looked pained and as if they're having an internal battle. Slowly, all of them came on to each other but the struggle not to is evident. Eris laughed humorlessly.

''No! Please stop this!'' I yelled over the chaos and the panic reigning on my chest hoping that Eris might hear me. And she did.

Slowly she looked down directly at me, a smile crawling on my face's lip, eyes as dark as a moonless night. I gritted my teeth with anger coursing violently up until to the very tip of my fingers.

''Child, there's nothing you can do. You're nothing but a mere vessel on this spiteful wasteland.'' Eris enunciated. I clenched my hands on my side and fought back the tears welling up.

Think Raven. Think.

That's my body. My heart, my brain. My soul must be detached from it but maybe I can do something to control my brain. Olivia told me that I'm a marked one maybe I have special abilities. Closing my eyes, I breathe in slowly and try to shut off all the noise.

Focus. I chanted in my head. Thinking of all the events that transpired leading up to this. Olivia's eyes that are devoid of colors flashed before my eyes then all of the people and Erinyes fighting each other. I felt tears leaking out of my eyes as the pain of my loss came back with ferocious intensity.

I will reclaim my body!

I felt my body shake, slowly then all at once. It felt like an earthquake but it wasn't me, it was my actual body.

''What are you doing?'' Eris bellowed angrily ''it's impossible!'' My body swayed back and forth, up and down and Eris couldn't control it. She growled as my body quickly falls to the ground.

''Nothing is impossible, Eris.'' I hissed. She was about to come for me with menacing strides when I noticed that my hand's soul form is fading away and there is light all around me. Heat starts to spread all over my body, it feels like I'm going to burst open.

''No, no!'' Eris yelled and before she was able to touch me, everything went blank.

There are people talking in hushed tones. Then I felt my body jolt like I took a great fall. A hypnic jerk.

I tried opening my eyes but my eyes are still trying to adjust to the light.

''Raven,'' someone went by my side, taking my hand ''Raven, how do you feel?''

''Whe. .  . Where am I?'' I croaked, gulping down the dryness of my throat. I heard people shuffling on their feet as if they were leaving.

''You're at a hospital. You got possessed by Eris last night during your sleep.'' His words are like a splash of cold water. I wasn't dreaming, it was true. My eyes went wide as I search for the face of the man I'm talking to.

''Oh my god. Did I kill anyone?'' Damon's face closed up, his eyes are dark and haunted. His jaw is clenched and for a moment he couldn't meet my eyes.

''Raven, whatever happened. . . It's not your fault. You are not aware of what was happening.'' I felt weak and boneless. I found myself leaning on Damon's shoulder as I try to recall bits and pieces of what happened. He smoothed his palm on my back and started to caress me comfortingly. ''It's going to be alright'' he cooed.

We were quiet for a while, holding each other for support when the door burst open ''no it will not.'' the head elder said, standing in front of the foot of the bed ''it will get worst and I suggest that we lock her up.''
