Chapter Four: Dobby's Visit
"Blimey! Harry's got himself a rogue Bludger!" Hagrid gasped as they watched the Quidditch match.
Slytherin was beating Gryffindor, 90 to 30. Harry and Draco were now racing for the Golden Snitch. Y/N with the Gryffindor's standing next to Hermione with Ron on the other side of her.
"That's been tampered with, that has!"
"I'll stop it!" Ron exclaimed, bringing out his broken wand.
Y/N looked to him in shock. Surely he wasn't thick enough to try and help Harry with a broken wand.
"Are you serious?" Y/N asked sarcastically.
"What? So you're fine with Harry getting hurt now?" Ron questioned him, keeping his wand up.
"No! Even with a proper wand, it's too risky. You could hit Harry, Y/N is just as concerned as you are!" Hermione scolded Ron, forcing him to lower his arm.
Harry dashed around the stands with his broom, the Bludger destroying everything it's path as Draco watched with a smile. Y/N grew anxious watching Harry and Draco argue in the middle of the match when Harry suddenly started flying towards the Golden Snitch once more, Draco trailing off faster, getting ahead of him. The two went under the stands, away from everyone's view making the crowd more anxious.
"I hope they're both alright." Y/N muttered, holding onto the railings, trying to get a closer look as they emerged.
"Draco!" Y/N yelled, watching Draco fall off his broom, groaning.
"Y/N, you can't!" Hermione yelled at him when he tried to jump over the railings to get to his brother.
Y/N bit his lip, watching Harry who also fell off his broom.
"Harry Potter has caught the Snitch! Gryffindor wins!" The announcer called, letting everyone know that the match was over.
Y/N instantly ran out to see his friend and brother with Ron and Hermione behind him. Y/N ran towards Draco who was now standing, unable to move much from the pain he was in.
"Y/N-" Draco was cut off by a tight hug from his brother.
"I'm glad you're alright." Y/N mumbled before letting go of him.
"Blimey, Y/N. If my bones weren't broken before, I'm sure you've broken them now!" Draco exclaimed dramatically.
"Sorry, dear brother. I was worried your ugly face would get even uglier." Y/N chuckled, patting him on the shoulder.
"Rude." Draco scoffed.
"I'm sorry for getting you angry." He mumbled so quietly that Y/N barely heard it.
"It's alright. We were brought up that way, but please, apologize to Granger." Y/N sighed, trying to change his brother's views.
"You want me to apologize to a Mudbl-" Draco cut himself off upon seeing the angry look on Y/N's face.
"I'll think about it." He sighed, making Y/N smile gently.
Y/N was happy his brother would at least think about it. It's a huge improvement. He nodded towards Draco who was now being escorted away by his fellow Slytherin friends before walking towards Harry and the others.
"What happened here?" Y/N asked, kneeling down beside Hermione, leaving Draco standing behind with the crowd.
"Harry broke his arm." Hermione replied, not taking her eyes off of him.
"Not to worry, Harry. I will fix that arm of yours straight away." Lockhart came out from the crowd, immediately kneeling down next to Harry.
"He'll probably only make it worse." Y/N rolled his eyes, making Hermione nudge him slightly with her elbow.
"He's right, not you." Harry shook his head, moving away from him slightly.
"Boys don't know what they're saying." Lockhart ignored them, grabbing Harry's broken arm making him wince as Lockhart pulled his sleeve up.
"This won't hurt a bit."
Hermione grimaced, feeling Harry's pain as he groaned.
"Brackium Emendo!" Lockhart casted, rolling his R's making a bright light appear from his wand, disappearing into Harry's arm.
He put his wand away before grabbing Harry's arm again, this time his arm flopped over like jelly.
"Disgusting." Y/N scrunched up his face from the odd sound Harry's arm made.
"Still in love with him, Granger?"
"Stop it." Hermione playfully hit him on the shoulder, making Y/N dramatically yelp in pain.
"Yes, well, that can sometimes happen..." Lockhart blurted, thinking of how to escape his situation.
"But uhm... the point is... you can no longer feel any pain, and, very clearly, the bones are not broken." He bent Harry's arm, making it look even odder.
"Broken?! There's no bones left!" Hagrid exclaimed angrily.
"Much more flexible, though." Lockhart played around with Harry's arm.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Mr. Malfoy, stop making such a fuss. You can go." Y/N walked behind Madam Pomfrey who was in a rush holding a bottle going straight towards Harry's bed.
"Draco, are you sure you're not feeling better already?" Y/N raised an eyebrow at his brother.
"You saw how hard I fell!" Draco exclaimed before holding his side in pain dramatically.
"Right." Y/N sighed before turning to see how Harry was.
As soon as Y/N arrived at the foot of Harry's bed, he got splashed by a liquid Harry spat at him.
"Are you that unhappy to see me?" Y/N groaned, wiping his face with his hands.
"Here, Y/N." Hermione said softly as she handed him a small pink handkerchief, decorated with strawberries.
"That's kind of you, Granger. Have you finally fallen for me?" Y/N smirked before wiping his face.
"Shut your mouth before I take that back." Hermione replied with a glare and rosy cheeks, trying to grab the handkerchief back.
"No!" Y/N instantly jerked his arms back, refusing to give it back to Hermione.
"I mean, I still have to wipe my face off." Y/N cleared his throat, trying to hide his small smile as he wiped his face off.
Recently, Y/N and Hermione had been hanging out a lot, just the two of them due to Harry and Ron's accusations. This made them grow a bit closer, finally less aggressive towards each other. Y/N had also recently been flirting with Hermione a lot, finding her reactions fun.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Harry." Y/N whispered, entering the Hospital Wing carefully.
"Y/N?" Harry sat up from his bed at the sound.
Y/N carefully made his way across the nearly empty room towards Harry before standing over him.
"How are you feeling?" Y/N asked awkwardly.
He and Harry hadn't been talking much since they heard of the Heir.
"I'm alright. How did you get here without getting caught?" Harry questioned him, it was hard to move around sneakily.
"Quite easily, there are many shadows at night." Y/N recalled himself hiding whenever someone would walk past.
The room went quiet as the two boys tried to figure out what to say to each other.
"Y/N."/"Harry." The two of them finally spoke up at the same time.
"You go first." Y/N insisted, looking at the serious look Harry had on his face.
"I've been thinking about it all night. I'm sorry for doubting you." Harry gave him an apologetic smile.
"Hermione and I spoke about it and surely you wouldn't have helped us last year and you wouldn't be helping us now if you really were the Heir."
"It's alright, I get it. I'm a Malfoy after all." Y/N sighed, staring at his shoes.
"But you're a good one. At least, to me." Harry shrugged, happy to make up with his friend.
"Ronald still suspects me though." Y/N sighed once more, annoyed at the thought.
"He'll come around." Harry reassured.
"You'll still help us right?"
"Of course, you need me after all. What would you do without me?" Y/N said smugly, chuckling softly.
Harry suddenly jerked his head up, his smile fading as he looked around the ceiling.
"Did you hear that?!" Harry exclaimed, afraid.
"Hear what?" Y/N tilted his head as Harry put his glasses on.
"I think it's going to kill again." Harry stared up, Y/N following his gaze.
"What?" Y/N squinted at nothing.
"Hello!" The two of them jumped at Dobby's voice.
"Dobby?!" Y/N looked at his family's house elf in shock.
"What are you doing here?!"
"Dobby has come to see Harry Potter, Master Y/N." Dobby smiled.
"To see me?" Harry raised his eyebrow.
"You know Dobby?" Y/N asked, tilting his head.
"He came to see me at my house." Harry explained before turning his head back to the house elf.
"Harry Potter should have listened to Dobby." Dobby took a seat on the tray on Harry's bed.
"Harry Potter should have gone back home when he missed the train." Dobby exclaimed.
"It was you. You stopped the barrier from letting Ron and me through." Harry spat, piecing it together.
"Then, Y/N! Did you order him to do that?! Are you really the Heir?!" Harry yelled, turning his head towards Y/N.
"For goodness sake, Harry. Lower your voice, we literally just made up." Y/N sighed, scared they'd get caught for being up.
"No! No! It was not Master Y/N! It was Dobby! Dobby did it!" Dobby rubbed his hands together anxiously, lowering his head.
"You nearly got Ron and me expelled." Harry whispered angrily.
"At least you would be away from here." Dobby said before standing up.
"Harry Potter must go home! Dobby thought his Bludger would be enough to make Harry Potter see..."
"Your Bludger? You made that Bludger chase after me?!" Harry spat.
"Dobby feels most aggrieved, sir." Dobby replied, guilty.
"Dobby had to iron his hands." Dobby showed them his bleeding, bandaged hands.
"You better clear off before my bones come back, or I might strangle you." Harry threatened, making the small house elf jump off the bed, falling on his bottom before backing up.
"Dobby." Y/N said sternly, glaring at his old playmate.
"Dobby is used to death threats, sir." Dobby backed up from Harry who was now stood up.
"Dobby gets them five times a day at home."
"Dobby. Explain. I've told you at home that Harry is my friend, why are you trying to kill him?" Y/N raised his voice slightly, his family couldn't have ordered him to do so or else Dobby wouldn't have had to iron his hands.
"Not kill, Harry, sir. Never kill him." Dobby backed up more as the two boys walked closer to him.
"Dobby remembers how it was before Harry Potter triumphed over He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named."
"You listened to my mother's stories?" Y/N walked closer, Harry walking alongside him.
"We house-elves were treated like vermin, sirs. Of course, Dobby is still treated like vermin." He started crying hysterically before blowing his nose on the small rag Dobby used as clothing.
"Why do you wear that thing, Dobby?" Harry squinted his eyes at the dirty cloth.
"It's a mark of the house-elf's enslavement. House-elves are free if their master presents them with clothes." Y/N replied, looking at the dirty rag.
"My father once scolded Draco and I sternly when we tried to give Dobby a hat for Christmas when we were young."
The trio's eyes suddenly darted towards the doors upon hearing noise. Dobby gasped, jumping on the bed.
"Listen. Listen!" Dobby motioned for the two to get closer with his finger.
"Terrible things are about to happen at Hogwarts, Harry Potter must not stay here now that history is to repeat itself."
"Repeat itself? You mean this has happened before?" Harry asked leaning in closer.
"I shouldn't have said that!" Dobby gasped before hitting himself with a small chalice.
"Bad Dobby! Bad!"
"Dobby stop!" Y/N pulled the chalice out of his hands, placing it back where he had gotten it.
"Tell me, Dobby. When did this happen before? Who's doing it now? What did you hear from father?" Y/N grabbed him by the clothes, speaking very seriously.
"Dobby cannot say, sir. Master Lucius has ordered me not to, not even to his sons. Dobby only wants Harry Potter to be safe. You will be safe because you are a Malfoy, sir." Dobby refused to be honest.
"No, Dobby. Tell me what I need to know." Y/N growled, tightening his grip.
Dobby snapped his fingers, teleporting away from the two. Before the two could argue, they heard more doors closing and opening.
"I'll do my best to get information out of my father if I can, Harry. Hermione and I will do our best to make the Polyjuice potion to question Draco. I'm sure Ron would argue if we didn't continue with that plan." Y/N whispered before opening a window.
"Get well soon."
Before Harry could reply, Y/N got up onto the window sill, whistling before calling for Kai. Y/N then jumped out of the window before Kai was even there, making Harry run up to the window, looking down to see Y/N fall down, almost hitting the ground until Kai appeared, swooping down under Y/N and catching him flawlessly. Y/N now rode Kai, standing up, surfing with the Phoenix up back to the window he jumped out of, slowly hovering to watch the professors all walk in.
Harry instantly got back into his bed, making eye contact with Y/N who put a finger to his lips. They both eavesdropped with Y/N making sure not to get caught.
"Put him here." Madam Pomfrey instructed as they lifted a student next to the bed.
"What happened?"
"There's been another attack." Dumbledore explained while lifting the student onto the bed.
"I think he's been Petrified, Madam Pomfrey." Professor McGonagall said, her voice was filled with worry.
Y/N shifted his position, he was now sitting cross-legged on Kai.
"Look. Perhaps he managed to take a picture of his attacker." They took the camera off of his hands.
Dumbledore fiddled with it for a second before opening it, making it explode.
"What can this mean, Albus?" McGonagall asked in shock.
"It means... that our students are in great danger." He replied.
"What should I tell the staff?" McGonagall whispered.
"The truth." Dumbledore said.
"Tell them Hogwarts is no longer safe. It is as we feared, Minerva. The Chamber of Secrets has indeed been opened again."
Y/N instantly flew off with Kai towards the girl's Gryffindor's dormitory without thinking. Y/N was afraid Hermione was next, she was a Muggle-born after all. He gulped before peeking in through the window to see Hermione peacefully sleeping in her bed. He sighed before raising his shoulders in shock, his face slowly turning red.
For once in his life, he had been so worried that he acted before thinking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Again? You mean the Chamber of Secrets has been opened before?" Hermione asked, pouring a bottle of liquid that Y/N handed her into the small cauldron.
"Of course. Don't you see?" Ron crossed his arms.
"Lucius Malfoy must have opened it when he was at school here. Now he's taught Draco and Y/N how to do it."
"For the last time, Weasley. He hasn't taught Draco and I anything. Though I do agree he might've had something to do with it." Y/N said calmly, not taking his eyes off of the Polyjuice Potion book.
"Stop provoking Y/N. Just wait for the Polyjuice Potion, Ron." Hermione sighed at the boys, shaking another vial that Y/N handed to her.
"Enlighten me. Why are we brewing this potion in broad daylight in the middle of the girls' lavatory?" Ron spat out, annoyed at Hermione for taking Y/N's side.
"Don't you think we'll get caught?"
"No. No one ever comes in here." Hermione replied with a light giggle.
"Why?" Ron scrunched his face up.
"Moaning Myrtle." Hermione replied, looking up at the ginger boy as Y/N slightly stirred the potion.
"Who?" Ron squinted.
"Moaning Myrtle." Y/N said, looking back towards Ron with a ghost appearing behind him.
"Who's Moaning Myrtle?" Ron questioned, not noticing her.
"I'm Moaning Myrtle!" The ghost yelled at Ron, making Y/N giggle as she flew into the middle of the room.
"She kinda looks like you, Harry." Y/N teased, making him playfully punch him in the arm, chuckled.
"I wouldn't expect you to know me." Myrtle spat, looking down at them.
"Who would ever talk about ugly, miserable, moping Moaning Myrtle?"
"Harry, she just called you ugly." Y/N suppressed his laugh, nudging the raven-haired boy.
Harry shoved him lightly before Myrtle screamed, flying into a toilet.
"She's a little sensitive." Hermione said, turning her attention back to the potion.
