Shawn:

"And what was that expirement?" I asked looking down at her

"You"

I stared down at Julia... Did she just say, me? She sighed and there was a flash of light. We were in some type of lab.

"Specials arnt just a natural phenomenon you know" she said grabbing a vile on the table and sloshing it around

"So your saying were man made?" I questioned

"Well not entirely. Us specials are a mix of a fertilized egg and a special serum the council made in hopes of creating a super being" she explained placing the vile back down

I looked around me and swallowed hard. I was an experiment... Venus was an experiment... Scientist hurried by us and didn't seem to notice Julia and I standing in there lab.

"What about my mum and dad?" I asked

"What about them?" Julia replied

"Are they even my real parents? Like Aaliyah, is she even my real sister? " I asked rapidly

If my whole life has been a lie, I need answers.

"Woah slow down there cowboy" Julia said raising her hands up in surrender

"Cowboy?" I questioned

"Forget that, yes Aaliyah is your sister but the people you call mum and dad, there fake" she replied

My eyes widened, what?!

"What do you mean there fake?" I asked

"Well you and Aaliyah were supposed to be twins but she defected and didn't follow along in the growth process so they freezed her and several years later un froze her. Your parents died before either of you guys were born, so the people you call Mum and Dad now are people who carried you for birth" she explained in one breath

I stared at her intently as she regained her breath and composure. How could this all be true? My whole system felt like shutting down, like crawling into a corner and dying there sounded like a perfect idea. I squeezed my eyes shut. Maybe this was all a bad dream.

"Dying wont resolve anything" I heard Julia say

I opened my eyes, we were no longer in the lab but on the hill where Venus's house is.

"I thought you would like to know Venus and I's story" she said as I saw a little Venus exit the house and stumble on a stone path, her hair flowing down her back as she trotted into the woods.

"Do you remember this day?" Julia questioned as I looked around

I looked towards the city. There was a huge fire burning up a building in the city. I saw Venus's father rush out of the house into the woods and I realized, this was the day I met Venus. Mum was feeling sick that day, and I went into the woods to get flowers for her. What I didn't know.. I had left behind a trail of fire burning part of the city.

Venus:

I paced the room I was in. Fight it Venus, Fight it! I continued to feel this odd cloak drape over me holding me down. I felt my neck and almost started crying to how powerful the pain was. This had something to do with it I'm sure. Harriett seemed to have control over me.. And I couldn't find my heartstone anywhere! My life source was in that! About an hour ago, Harriett was explaining to me why I came back to life in the arena. Apparently you can revive a heartstone if another special mixes there blood with yours and touches the heartstone. Both Shawn and I had been bleeding a lot so it was possible for both of our bloods to mix together. Then right after that, she did something with her controller and I lost my control of my senses. Jacob had met up with us and we KISSED! Dear lord, we kissed. And I felt... Happy. Loved. Like that's were I belonged. Right after that he said I looked tired and that the "love of his life" should get some rest. So Harriett brought me here and now I'm trying to fight this heavy field trying to control me. The throbbing In my neck grew and I howled in pain. Oh where was Nick to comfort me? How about Shawn? Is he still alive? My body grew exhausted from fighting back the controlling field and I dropped to the floor and let it take over. I lost control of my body as I picked myself up and walked to the bed. I laid down and closed my eyes. Its time to go to sleep...

I got up and looked around, new day, new start, and time for work. The glass door to my room slid open and I walked out, apparently my body knew where it was going. I felt like my soul was stuck inside this body and I screaming for them to let me out, but it wasn't working was it. I walked into a huge sitting room with red seats, walls and like extremely dark... As a wolf, I feel secure in the dark... With a pack though. I sat down in one of the black and red arm chairs and looked around, waiting for something apparently. The glass door to the room slid open and revealed a grinning Jacob. He came closer and I stood up also, a smile on my face too? He hugged me and I felt like this reality was completely fake. This couldn't be happening could it? I fought for control over my body so I could push him away but I guess he sensed it.

"Venus when they tell you to fight, do it. Just don't do him any serious damage until I give you a signal, run as fast as you can with him got it?" he whispered into my ear

My eyes widened and I nodded. I gave up on fighting and Harriett had complete control over my body. I sat down with Jacob and he wrapped his arm around me, my body responded by leaning up against him. But the real me just sat alone in an empty room in my conscious, pondering over what Jacob had just said. When I fight him, obey but once I give the signal run? What the flippity heck was that supposed to mean?! The glass doors slid open again to reveal a Harriett who I had just realized had the smile of a hungry snake... If snakes could smile. She sat down across from us and I felt my ears tune out. Okay so she's got control over my hearing and feelings? What's next, vision? The way I talk. What she going to give me an accent?

"Venus, there's one thing that must happen for you and Jacob to have a happy life together" She said as if we were discussing an urgent matter

My body gave her a pleading look while my conscious was as confused as it could ever be.

"You must get rid of someone... He's proved none useful" she continued

"Who" my body asked

"Shawn" she replied

My conscious was struck with fear. Oh no, oh flippity heck no, crap crap crap! Jacob was referring to Shawn?! No Harriett was going to have me hurt Shawn, oh no, I have to kill him don't I? I fought with the control and looked at her with stern eyes.

"And what if I refuse?" I asked in a semi strained voice

"We'll kill him ourselves and hurt you" she responded holding up two oh so familiar necklaces

Shawn and I's heartstone hung in her hand. I stopped fighting with the controls and fell back into the couch. Harriett stood up and exited the room. Jacob had a smile plastered on his face till now when he gave me a dead serious look. My body just smiled but I suddenly felt the controls lift off me.

"I've intercepted the transmission to your controlling device temporarily so I can speak to you-" he began before I smacked him cutting him off

"So what's this?! You drag me into the mess and now you want to drag me out?" I hissed

"Okay so maybe I did deserve that but look at me, we don't have much time" he said as he rubbed his face

"There going to bring Shawn in and use some type of serum on you to do what they call the transformation process. I'm sure you can fight the control but make sure you body only hurts Shawn lightly so when I shut off the power we can run and we don't have to carry him out" He said all in one breath

I felt the control come over me and I stood up. I fought for a little while longer so I could wink at him, then I let my conscious sink back into its dark, empty room. Jacob put on his act and led me out of the room. We ate a simple breakfast together with Harriett an I just stored up my strength. I needed it for the escape.

But I am leaving it in suspenseful bits to kill you guys slowly of being anxious, I'm special like that.
