I'm confident I did this story right this time, and I'm willing to give it the energy and time it needs to succeed.
I don't know what went wrong!
I was able to cook fine for myself back when I was human. The same physics and correlation of certain systems applied here too, so why was the kitchen on fire?!
No. I did not try to cook the oven using my (Flame) to level it; I did think about it though.
...I just stuffed the carcass into the oven after lathering it up with spices, set the dial halfway like I'd seen before, and left to explore a little while it cooked.
I didn't expect to come back to Pops taking out a blackened carcass, and the equally burned rack, with an angry-confused expression. With Redline using what looked like an enchanted tube to spray the area with water...
I'd just stepped into the room again to check on things--after getting lost in the hallways for an hour--I was sure I did everything the right way! Even if I couldn't read the numbers...they somehow knew I was there and a pulse of energy passed around me. Getting Pop's attention and he disappeared, only to reappear beside me and grab me by the scruff--I didn't even know Dragons had that kind of thing!--The next thing I knew I was staring at a half incinerated carcass and the equally destroyed oven with an angry high-leveled being scolding me...
"Just what did you think you were doing?" His growl sent shivers through my entire body, and I couldn't help but let out a small yelp of fear as he moved to point at the destroyed items. "Do you know how much this costs...no, of course you don't." He sighed and dragged a clawed hand over his face, surprisingly not digging four bloody lines through his face doing that. I slowly grabbed a piece of the carcass to munch on--a part that didn't look ruined, but was still badly burned--and ate it slowly.
Huh. It actually tasted pretty good.
...Needed more spice though.
It took a moment, but I was able to get my head and forelimbs to become visible. But I didn't look at him, continuing to stare at the floor in shame and guilt. I probably shouldn't have eaten that; it only made their stares harsher. A quiet whine escaped my chest, but thankfully that seemed to get their moods to lighten up a little toward me.
Pops sighed and looked at the carcass interested. "I'm guessing you intended on copying me from this morning to make something yourself correct?" I nodded visibly, so that they clearly saw what my intentions were, "How did you even know what this did..." I tilted my head at him in the 'oblivious to what was going on' way and he groaned.
"You just thought that you could put some meat in there, and mash all of the seasonings you smelled, and put them all in there together?" Huh? I didn't put all of it in the oven with the--I peeked over the edge of the carcass and saw that inside of it: There were two clearly metallic bowls of spice in the very middle of the entire thing.
I was horrified. Surely I wasn't that incompetent that I would actually put the entire bowl of seasonings in the carcass and then all of that into the oven?! Right? I do remember taking out the spices...and the bowls that still smelled like them--since I figured they went together--but I actually put the whole thing into the oven?
I looked at that and him a few times, bewildered, and Redline burst out laughing.
"Mrahahaha" She fell to the floor and started rolling around laughing like this was the funniest thing in the world. I didn't mean to...I guess I just got a little carried away and accidentally left everything on the meat. Then forgot about it since I didn't know where else to put the bowls... "This has got to be the funniest thing I've ever seen! Hahahaha. Pops it's even better than the time you accidentally left the spines in that Wandering Quill we got, blowing up the last kitchen! Mrahahaha."
I looked at Pops confused as he just watched Redline with a smirk, "You called me Pops..." That got Red to shut up immediately, shooting to her feet.
"Alright! Sc'the, I've got to go to the Guild now. It would be best if you stayed here...so please, don't cause Master any trouble and he probably won't kill you in return." She then quickly stalked from the room and I looked at Pops incredulously.
Give me something to communicate you stupid Voice!
I hopped up onto the counter again and reached into my (Void Storage) for another carcass of the same creature, but as I was just about to take it out the oven disappeared in a flash of light and another took it's place. Distracting me enough that I temporarily forgot about taking out the other hunk of meat, looking at the new oven curiously.
"Oh don't worry about that, I just keep a few ovens in my Storage Rings now for situations like this...it actually happens a lot more than it should, so this isn't actually that big of a problem for us." I saw him touch the unrecognizable hunk of charcoal and it turned to dust on the spot. The entire thing just darkened further than I thought possible and collapsed in on itself...not even the bowls and burned spices were safe, and soon the entire thing was just a pile of black ash on the floor. Which also disappeared just as quickly. When I looked around for what happened to it, I found Pops chuckling at me amused.
"Don't worry. I just used a bit of my magic to dispose of it properly so the house stays clean." He looked at me with a glare and I decided then and there to not purposefully break or trash anything in the house for any reason what-so-ever. "Alright how about I make something for us both. Red'll find something to eat on her tantrum toward the Guild, so don't worry about her."
I didn't wait a second and let the carcass appear on the table before the both of us, his left eyebrow rose up with slight surprise turned great intrigue. Then he laughed mirthfully when he saw me looking at him expectantly.
"You are just full of surprises aren't ya." He grinned, grabbing the meat, all the gore on the counter disappearing and a flat mat of some strange material similar to plastic appearing in the same spot. "Don't show that you have an (Inventory) in public alright. A lot of people would come after you just for the purpose of killing or enslaving you for such a valued skill..."
That statement buried into my chest like a dagger. So even in a world where magic was common people didn't have somewhere to put things without needing an enchanted bag or ring? If those themselves were even a common thing. And he said (Inventory), not (Void Storage) like I actually had...
...All the more reason to keep it hidden; If it was rare or even unheard of before, I didn't want to attract more unwanted attention to myself as some sort of walking gold-mine: besides the fact I literally was...
"Don't worry about that though. As long as you aren't seen, and don't do it in public, no one will know who or what you are until it is likely already too late...or they're powerful enough to see through your (Invisibility), and thus your Skills." He tried to reassure me, shooting me a quick smirk, but that last comment did the opposite of helping you dumbass. "Even I couldn't see your Special Skills and I'm an entire Tier above you in power, so unless they have a class specifically for spying and reconnaissance I very much doubt that anyone will actually know what you are, and much less that you have such valuable skills..."
Stop that! Your grinning at me like that is very unsettling...
"Alright, enough with that." His hands were suddenly blood free and he clapped them loudly, "How about I show you a little about cooking something like this, then I'll let you loose to do your own thing for a while."
I nodded at his offer enthusiastically, paying close attention as he explained the process of preparing meat for serving. He explained the some parts weren't needed: cutting them and portions of the carcass off; then he said that he usually rubs the meat down with seasoning and lets it smoke a little overnight before baking it again for mornings.
Pops was extremely passionate about Cooking and I was sure that he must've had a Skill near the hundred-level or above with how quickly and efficiently he did everything: Like, every cut he made was perfectly in line with whatever section he was speaking about, he rubbed the meat down with just enough of the seasonings--of which he had to gather again--to cover the meat without seeming like too much; He even let me put it in the oven and showed me how each button and dial worked!
Turns out the dial I used wasn't a timer, but it was actually an Intensity setting for the thing--It had three settings: Flame Intensity, Heat Accumulation, and finally Timed Baking; Flame Intensity was more towards baking something that needed a really, really concentrated amount of fire and heat all around it constantly--like surrounding something in an inferno on putpose and leaving it like that for a while; Heat Accumulation was more towards baking and re-heating things for eating; And Timed Baking was seemingly the same thing, but it switched between both settings for a set amount of time, however long, at however long the three intervals were set to activate until finished.
It was...extremely complicated.
When all of that was done, Pops...whatever he was...just rubbed his hands together and everything in the area was cleaned as if nothing had ever happened. The bowls were left spotless and I didn't see where the seasonings went but I'm assuming they either did the same thing he did to the burned mess I made earlier: turning it into dust, or they were returned to their spots somehow...
It was strange: how his powers worked; I definitely didn't want to see what he's able to do in a fight, especially if he got angry enough at something to destroy it so thoroughly. I wondered what his main abilities were anyways: there seemed to be that (Fear Aura) that he had, and there was that strange Energy pulsing one that let him see me--Even when I wasn't visible, but I couldn't think of anything else...
"Alright listen here. This is the timer that lets you set an alarm of when to check the oven or when something is done baking." He pointed to a small corner on the edge of the entire thing: it was on the side of the entire oven, just behind the door and yet somehow able to work despite the insane temperatures the oven produced. "How many times you tap the Crystal determines the minutes, and if you spin it clockwise--in this direction--it will continue through as many revolutions as the crystal has the ability to track minutes; spinning it is how many hours plus minutes in other words."
I nodded, still visible, to show that I understood and he smiled nodding back with approval. "Alright. Now that that's set you can go and do whatever it is that you want to do till it's ready. Just make sure to come back in sixty minutes to check--You have your clock activated in your system?" I nodded, "Good. I'll expect you back in sixty minutes then; or the meat will burn ending up like the last..."
I motioned to it and me several times in response. I didn't want that to happen again either--no matter how much it seemed to happen to it nonetheless--he smiled and disappeared. I walked out of the kitchen area and looked back at the oven my meat was cooking in: waiting for it to finish was going to be a whole other kind of torture...
-----------------------
I still have no idea how to portray a character traversing through a cityscape like Forge in a meaningful way as of currently (even after editing) and since he can't really interact with anyone there isn't any way I can really have him interacting with other besides...wait, this gives me an idea for something I can use in the future...
Until Next time! Thanks for reading!!

Little Note at the end here:
I'll be having to publish the next chapter a week from this one (Friday May 10th) to have Wattpad catch up with ScribbleHub updates so that there is less stress on myself; having to publish them both at separate times and make sure there's as few mistakes as possible.
Sorry about that.
