THIRTY-SEVEN:
THE TECHNICALLY

[I'm back bih]

"You know I could really go for some tacos right now. Allison, tacos?" Klaus stated as he munched on some Jell-O.

"Yes, tacos!" Alex said as he was laying on the ground with one of his legs up in the air.

"Should we wait?" Allison said as she pointed to where the others had gone.

After Alex had his talk with Luther, the monkey man left the building like a kicked puppy and Alex had come out with a very serious dad face.

"You know those guys, I meant it could take forever for them to bro it out." Alex nodded, agreeing with Klaus.

He stared at his leg, still up in the air. Why?

"Vanya, tacos?" Klaus asked again, he really wanted those tacos and Alex couldn't blame him.

"Is there any way that tacos are gonna cause the end of the world?" Vanya asked and looked at Alex.

Alex waved her off, "No, tacos are safe. But chimichangas might so stay away from them."

He saw Vanya's thinking face and sat up suddenly, "don't even think about it!"

"I mean there's only one way to find out right?" Klaus said as Allison picked up her bag, ready to leave and get tacos and other stuff.

Vanya grinned and stood up, only to offer a hand to Alex who took it and stood up, grinning after thanking her.

They left happily.

Ben watched them with a sad smile, "I miss you all. So much."

Sometime later, they found themselves at Odessa's, chilling and drinking and gossiping.

Like they did before leaving the academy.

"Ughh! The nerve of that man, I mean one thing goes wrong, and he's on a warpath. I mean, doesn't he know who I am?"

She looked at Klaus through the mirror as he smoked a cigarette.

"No, no no, Ray, you know exactly who I am. You just can't handle it ."

Vanya was imitating shooting some bottles with her finger gun, while Alex stood to her left, staring at the ceiling and counting the stars — don't ask, weird Alex stuff.

"Pew pew."

"Nine hundred and sixty, twenty-one." Alex nodded as he counted all twenty-one stars in the world.

"I'm protecting him."

"From what?"

"The end of the world, for one."

Vanya paid attention to that, "so is the world really gonna end in six days?"

Allison paused as she was brushing Klaus's hair before resuming, —Alex cooed — "well, it did last time and we did everything Five could think of to stop it."

"Hey," Klaus said as he stood up from the chair, "Hey, wouldn't it be weird if Five grew up all hot? Wouldn't that be weird?"

Alex looked at Klaus with confusion, "how the hell he gonna grow up? He's forever a teen."

"Ew!"

" 'Oh, ew!' Please, Miss 'Luther was my lover' ."

"We have barely even kissed." Allison defended herself quickly.

"Yeah, but you guys were making little sick moon-dog eyes at each other all through puberty and breakfasts and all that."

Vanya looked between them all, "aren't we all brothers and sisters, or...?"

She then looked at Klaus and Alex and looked uncomfortable. Was this going to end well?

Klaus snorted as Allison answered, "Well...technically, it-"

Klaus interrupted her, " 'technically?' If you have to word... use the word 'technically' you're already in trouble."

Allison snapped from where she was sitting on the chair that was previously occupied by Klaus, "well aren't you a hypocrite?"

"We don't count," Alex said and wave his hand like he was the queen.

"How? You're siblings and don't do the whole we're adopted and technically it doesn't count."

"Well if you have to use the word technically-"

"Babe you've already said that."

Klaus looked at Alex for a little before forcing himself into Alex's arms and rubbed his face like a puppy onto Alex's neck, "oh right."

Alex patted the puppy.

Allison reminded them that they're still there by clearing her throat.

"Well you see," Alex said without taking his eyes off of Klaus, "we're married so-"

"I'm sorry can you repeat that?" Allison's voice was scary but Alex missed that.

"Sure, I said we're married so-"

"Alex," Allison did some breathing exercises while Vanya started flapping her arms like a baby chicken or penguin. Alex should buy her a penguin pj.

Allison's breathing exercises failed, "Congrats you two, we're going to plan an actual wedding — don't think you're going to get out of this — and lastly-"

She took a deep breath and-

"I HEARD A RUMOR THAT YOU STAID WHERE YOU ARE AND DECIDED TO LET ME SLAP YOU AND WILL LOOK ME IN THE EYE AS YOU TELL ME WHO THE WITNESSES WERE AND WHERE THEY LIVE-"

Vanya started laughing but the loud voice of her sister was superior.

After Allison had calmed down, which took a long time, they went back to their discussions.

"So now that this was sorted, I demand a celebration," Allison demanded and then they found themselves in a group hug, then Allison's song came up and they all started dancing.

They did all of the moves, the legs, the hands, some Tik Tok dances and then did their hairs and generally had a great time.

Alex and Klaus did their first dance — second but they didn't mention it to Allison — and Vanya and Allison cried making Klaus and Alex cry as well.

In all, it was a great day for the married couple and their family.

Alex decided not to mention how they got married in Vietnam, so they've actually been married for like 70 years. He also didn't mention how Dave and Robert were there, fearing his sister would track them down and return only after she made them- well she was creative and Alex did not want to know what his sister would come up with.

He also didn't mention they've been married for even longer than 70 years. It was actually 70 years and 1 day. Give or take a few hours. And maybe years cause Alex can't do math.

He will mention these, but later. Way too later. Maybe over a phone while he's on the other side of the world.

For now, it was time for them to enjoy the wedding.

Sorry, I was gone, I just needed a break and also my exams were starting but now everything is great and we're back on track!
