Chapter 29: The Day Has Come

(Un-edited)

You stand, ready by the side of your body on the hospital bed. Final kind of farewell as there is tears in your eyes. You wait for Jimin to be here. You wait for Thing to come. In your heart, you know it—you will come.

This is the day you will be going back.

This is the day you will succeed.

You smile, eyes with water when you look at all the bodies that are i the room. You scheduled off and knew exactly when they wouldn't be here, but in this moment as they were, your smile was huge when staring over at all them. Mother, Jonah, Iniko. You smiled and thanked all of them.

You looked at your Mother. "Your daughter is coming home."

You looked at Jonah. You giggled. "Your best friend is coming home, you lil' asshole."

You looked to Iniko. Your smile was soft and civil. "Your friend is coming home. I will always care about you."

With that, you smiled and watched their tired bodies sigh and talk amongst each other. They couldn't hear or see you, so you made the best of it by just watching them and their weird quirks with your eyes.

As planned, they left the room thirty minutes later. As they left, it wasn't a shock to see Jimin sneaking into the room and shutting the door behind him. His smile was cute when turning around to see you jump to hug him with a giggle.

He kissed you. You kissed him back and it was gentle and sweet. It was long, staying mouth-to-mouth in slight hurt over the fact that this was happening. The both of you were happy, but there was still a lingering feeling of sadness that trailed within you.

"What are the chances I'll remember?" Jimin asked by your lips, hearing you giggle as he hugged you tight and dragged you over towards the part by your bed again.

He placed you down on the spot where you were supposed to be arranged. You pecked his lips, small and warm smile before hugging him and talking at his shoulder.

"I don't know what will come," you said softly, "but just know that—"

"This has been great? It's not you it's me?" he laughed when you slapped at his chest playfully. "I'm not wanting to break-up with you," you defended and Jimin chuckled, nodding.

He kissed your forehead, his cheek then resting onto your hair as you continued to hug him.

"I love you."

"I know," you whispered out, smiling when he tickled at your sides. You held his hands to stop him.

Moving away from the hug, you stared at him put on a brave face even though he hurt on the insides.

"A great love," he said with a sigh before pecking your lips one last time.

You held his cheeks, eyes squinting shut.

You kissed him for the last time in the same spot he had kissed you for the first time out of desperation. There was want and hurt here in replacement. You memorized his lips, his taste, and the way he made you feel. You needed to memorize it, hoping if you got back, you'd remember.

He did the same, his mouth working up some magic as he wished for this not to be over. He wished to know you even after you woke. He wished to be with you. Jimin wanted to be with you. He finally let his sadness peek through into the kiss as he slowly pulled away and hugged you again.

You hugged him back.

"I'll find a way back to you," he softly said.

You nodded. Your eyes were a reddened, and watery mess.

He pulled away with one more kiss and you slapped his chest back. "Okay, enough of this we're going to be crying too much and this might not even happen."

He chuckled as he moved back to his side of the hospital bed. He positioned himself by the foot of the bed and glanced at your body on it. Then, he stared back at you and smiled. "No more stalling. This is your time to be alive." That is the last he said.

There was a third whisper that was weak. Both Jimin and you glanced over to see Thing weakly walk into the room at the exact time known to everyone.

This was it.

You stared at thing and felt more tears at your eyes from joy. You saw Thing stroll into the room, by your side, and over to its position across from you. Thing was in its real form.

You were staring at a mirror. Thing looked exactly like you. It's eyes, it's mouth, it's hair, it's skin, it's body. Thing was a mirroring reflection of you because it truly was your second-half.

The only difference was the most of Thing's skin was burnt. You ruled that out to be from the separation as you had once found out, but today, right now, you were getting to see it in full.

Your smile was bright and Thing awkwardly stared over at your shocked and excited direction before nodding over at Jimin who was slightly shocked as well.

"What's with the awing expression, we've been all knowing that I'm still You," Thing snapped under its breath. It was grumpy because deep down, it knew it was doing the right thing.

This was the right thing.
This was the right win.
This was right.

"Let's go back home," you said lightly. You extended your hands out and put your palms out to the ceiling.

You waited.

You waited for Thing to manage the situation, look at your presence and then back at Jimin. You let Thing be in control of its own position, it's own choice.

You let Thing be its own hero...

You felt hands that were similar in warmth move to your palms. Thing's hands were burnt. It looked weird to be holding your own hands but in this moment, nothing but the idea of all being right crossed your mind.

You clasped on comfortable. You didn't dare let Thing go. You smiled and met your eyes across from you.

Thing nodded over at you. It smiled a little but there was still a want to leave the room and you tried not to giggle. Of course, that had to be a characteristic for got negative side—always trying to escape responsibility.

Jimin held the foot of the bed. He held tight as Thing started to speak. "We win." It said. You smiled.

There was sudden swishes of wind now. Like the last time, it was fast and hard as it picked up speed and forces.

Jimin held on tight but he was smiling, cheeks wet as he saw you close your eyes. Thing closed its eyes and the merging of energy through both your held hands was too strong for Jimin to look at.

There were no creepy engravings in the walls or floors.

Your body didn't shake and toss around on the hospital bed. You were silent and lay more beautiful than ever.

There was no darkness. All there was a ball of light starting to form at your entwined hands. It was strong and Jimin couldn't look at it.

His hair was mental and messed. His eyes squinted as he covered his eyes from the blinding light. He screamed. He screamed, feeling the ending to this coming.

He felt brighter, happier. He felt so happy in that moment. He had been the anchor. He had been your anchor. He did well. I did well.

The bright light was hot and hotter as it started to grow and blind the entire room.

Jimin did the same as you and Thing...

Jimin closed his eyes.

"I LOVE YO..." Jimin's scream was trailed off into soft nothingness as soon as the white light ate the entire room up.

There was a hum.
There was a ring.
Then there was nothing but total darkness, in the purest form imaginable.

There was peace and unity.

Jimin's body didn't tense. He felt nothing but amazement and reward when the light ate him whole along with the rest of the room.
