I woke up at 6 am had an 8 am shift so I got ready and jasmine wasn't home again whatever that man gives her I want honestly she won't come home and she has a shift around 10, anyway ill see her at work.

I miss her we have both been so busy we haven't had time to gossip.

Got to work and it was packed again today we played soulful music I love that Mr. Mansoor has been listening to our suggestions for playing music...

It was kind of busy and I was busy with my last customer's Order when I saw Robbie my smile got bigger and he sat down ... brought him his food and jasmine was smiling too apparently this new guy of hers is amazing and spoils her.

We laughed as she was telling me what's been happening

" Did you move out"

"To where? are you trying to get rid of me?"

"No, you are never around"

" I know you miss me I'll be home soon "

We laughed and got busy again Robbie had to go but said he will come to fetch me so we have ice cream ... Finally, it was time to go home around 4 pm and we had ice cream talking about our day.

His fans went crazy some took pics of us some of him alone, thank God I freshened up, some told us how cute we were and we thanked them and left. My phone rang with a number I didn't know

"Hello"

" May I please talk to Nia walker"

"Speaking"

"I am Selena from child services"

"Wait what" I couldn't eat my ice cream anymore as she began to explain why she's calling me"

Robbie held me as I panicked and told him how Mrs. Ramirez called them after finding Aronia with bruises so she reported it because she won't be accused of abusing kids.

When we got to their offices my mother was there I wanted to talk to her but couldn't they wouldn't even let me see her my poor baby Selena took me to her office and I was trembling...

"You understand we couldn't ignore this "

" I know you're only doing your job but I work and go to school, my mom...." I cried she gave me tissues and rubbed my back

"If she's not safe with my own mother"

"I'm sorry miss walker you will go home with her I just need to fix a few things first can you wait for me here" I nodded and she left. For what felt like 10 years we got here around 5 pm it was now 7 pm it's late and I want my daughter.  I kept texting Robbie he couldn't be involved so he waited for me in the waiting room.

I felt like I failed my baby girl all this is for her and now she's suffering, I'm almost done with school and we'll the jobs help with a lot of our needs.

I can't think straight is it punishment for being impatient with her at times is it a lesson of some sort, testing me and giving me a taste of how it would feel like to lose her...I wouldn't be able to survive without her she keeps me going she keeps me fighting I always want to be better for her...

She came back with Aronia and I hugged she had dried tears and I took out my wipes and wiped her small face kissing her making her smile...she had a small green bruise under her right eye I kissed it...

Selena began showing me the bruises on my child's body...I held her tight and cried, I couldn't hold it in I hate it when she sees me like this but I couldn't pretend...as much as I want to teach her to be strong I want her to know it's okay to not be okay sometimes...

I took out my hoodie and put it on her small body as soon as she felt warm she fell asleep, I asked Selena to hold her and I went to the loo or my bladder would burst.

I got in did my business and came out but as I was walking back I saw my mom and walked towards her.

"If my daughters not safe with you then who should I trust"

"I told you not to bring her anymore it's your fault" I was mad so mad tears started falling

"You called saying you miss her momma you can treat me like shit it's fine I can handle it but you won't do that to my daughter, this is where I draw the line momma"

"It's okay"

"What happened to you when dad died momma"

"Dont talk about him"

"Or what " I was boiling.

She slapped me and I felt powerless so I just looked at her then went back to Aronia, Robbie was probably looking at my dysfunctional life I felt embarrassed so I didn't look back.

Robbie called his mom who called their family lawyer to help he did everything while we waited when he was done we left my mom there, I honestly Dont care what they do to her she crossed the line by hurting Aro who hits a child like that?

Robbie drove us home and the drive was silent. I sat at the back and Aro was sleeping...I asked him to go to my mom's house I had keys so I got there and took all her stuff from now on I'll take care of her full time.

I sat down on my mother's bed and broke down a bit I just didn't know why my mom would hurt me using my daughter.

Robbie walked in and just hugged me I needed his hug it had some sort of magic...

"Allow me to help with Aro please babe "

I nodded I can't speak when I'm hurt I can't find the words it's just too deep that my tears end up doing the talking for me...

So I cried and when I was done, we left he reassured me and told me how this too shall pass, for once I believed it.

We got to my apartment he carried her to my bedroom and started taking out all her bags and toys ...

I quickly changed her into her PJs and put her on my bed and watched her sleep...shes been through a lot today...maybe she doesn't need to go to school tomorrow.

I'm so happy I have Robbie when he was done we sat down in silence...

It felt good to have him and his support after he left, I went straight to bed and fell asleep right away...in the morning I called my boss and asked for leave he agreed and gave me 3 days off.

Aro was still fast asleep.

I woke up showered and made breakfast then she came to me and hugged me I went to bathe her and every time she winced in pain as the warm water massaged her bruises my heart broke...

"He's uhm he's a friend he is mommy's friend "

"He sings my flower we sing it with aunty jas"

"He's my new daddy mommy...I finally have a daddy now they won't make fun of me"

And that broke my heart I never knew her that having a male figure around hurt her she's always happy but what do I expect when other kids from her school have their own families...

"Baby let's go bath so we can watch frozen again"

The buzzer went crazy and Robbie came in and asked us to get ready he's taking us somewhere.

"Dress comfortably "

"uhm nope I'm tired babe"

"Pretty please"

"Fine "

We got dressed and I was still fixing myself but some stalker had he's grey eyes on me...

"What," I asked him

"Uhm nothing...you look hot"

"Are you checking me out......" he came to me and started kissing my neck I had to repeat this"YOU ARE CELIBATE TILL MARRIAGE NIA"

Aro came running in.....thank you God for saving me from temptation...

"We can go momma and uncle rob"

"Let's go girls"

We went to his car and he drove, they were singing along to songs and dancing it was a fun ride honestly this is what she needs after yesterday.

"'I've always wanted to come here"

Aro was so excited she wanted everything and by everything I mean everything...she could have cotton candy...

We went on every ride...

We had a great day when it was around 6 pm we went to have dinner and he suggested The Taylors? He's just doing this to show Kelly to back off...I agreed

We got there and Kelly served us...

"Can I take your order guys....omg Nia your little cousin looks so cute "

"Mommy who's your little cousin?"

"I wish I knew too baby " I gave her the side-eye

"I Want the strawberry milkshake "

"How is she your daughter I mean she is....she looks...."

"Shut the fuck up Kelly and mind your own damn business"Jasmine came from nowhere thank God she did.

Kelly was so annoyed she left...jasmine started laughing asking a million questions we shared the beef platter and little missy had her chicken nuggets and fries.

Then they both had dessert I couldn't I was full tired and sleepy but had a good day...I can't believe Rob did all this for us they were like 2 peas in a pod they laughed and shared ice cream my word.

He won this huge nasty looking thing but Aro likes it...

Before we could go Aro asked for the bathroom and of course, Jasmine took her...Rob came closer and closer and held my waist and kissed me, the kiss felt so amazing ....wanted to stop I was at my workplace but my body gave in...

After the kiss, he pecked my lips again..

"I've been dying to do that" I couldn't respond I just blushed and saw Kelly giving me a death stare and I rolled my eyes...

Jas and Aro came back...

Rob paid for us and we said goodbye to jas and left...kelly had questions that didn't deserve my answers...

Then he drove us home after singing along to songs I've never heard before she was out like a light...

We got to my apartment and missy didn't want to wake up she needed to bath she had cotton candy stuck on her hair how she managed to do that is a mystery...

I had to fight, bathing a child that pretended to be asleep is nice(note the sarcasm)...

Finally, we were both clean and I put her down and she fell asleep...

I went to check Robbie and I found him sleeping on our couch...I looked at this man that just came and turned my life upside down...

What am I going to do with him?... I like him and I can't control it...with him, I just want to let go of every pain and just love him.

I went to fetch a blanket and covered him I left him because I couldn't leave Aro alone.

He mumbled something he speaks in his sleep good id like to hear his secrets...

"I love you, Nia," he said and my heart melted and where there was once walls were now bright flowers which represented the start of something new and beautiful...
