Zinnia: In the beginning, it was just me, my brother, my mother and my lame excuse for a father. My father was always out late and never took care of us. The only reason my mother ever stayed with him is because he gives her the money she needs to support our living. Mother is gentle, kind and hopes she can change the ways of our father but she's been married to him for 16 years now and if anything, he's gotten worse. He forces her to shave her shimmering brown hair four times a month. He spends hours screaming at her if she touches any of his possessions while she forms tears from her dark hazel eyes. After he sends mother to wash up each night before bed, he glares at us with his dark green eyes. He strokes his hands over his bald head and walks off.

Every time I get mad, I tie my long black hair in a ponytail and breath. I don't let tears fall, instead, I channel my anger into my housework.

I like to stare at my brother, Orion with my big blue eyes and pull him into a hug each night and stroke his short black hair while he falls asleep. He always has his small, stuffed dog close and I kiss him lightly on the head. I have always been close to my mother and Orion, until it all started to happen.

Orion: I love my sister and mother, but our father is evil. I always keep close to Zinnia and hold my stuffed animal close. Those are the two things that comfort me. I don't like to talk a lot, I prefer to keep to myself because I know that will get me in the least amount of trouble. I don't like to be alone, but ever since 'they' came to surround us and took mother Zinnia started to keep to herself, I did as well.

Saros: Ever since I was young, I was different from the rest. I preferred to be kind and I didn't care if I was alone. My mom tries to make me be like everyone else but, even if I try, I am just different. Everyone on my planet is mean and hates each other. I am a gentle reospon, but every other reospon can't see that. Every now and then I just couldn't take it so I locked myself up in my room. I thought everything was perfect and fine until the ruler announced our planet wasn't habitable anymore. Everyone disagreed, but we slowly watched as our world started to fall apart. Everyone was evacuated quickly as we were thrown into space to find a new home.
