Chapter 21: History of the Halön
"What do you mean she escaped?!"
Tak turned her head away from the screen in embarrassment. This was the second time she had been yelled at. First by Red and Purple, who weren't entirely infuriated since they were focused on their snacks more than anything else.
How pathetic... Tak had thought at the sight of them. If she were another person, she would have scolded herself as well, but getting the girl back wouldn't be so difficult. She already knew her plan. Even disposing of Red and Purple would be easy, she knew. Those idiots didn't have any idea. Fooling Bitters into being a puppet while she was pulling the strings might prove a challenge. But nothing she couldn't sidestep.
"Do not worry, my Tallest." Tak gave a reassuring grin. It sent shivers down everyone's spine. "This is only a minor setback. Getting Kytïel back into my control should prove very, very easy."
"In that case, should we start forming the armada? Preparing teams?" Almighty Red asked, tilting his head in thought. Tak narrowed her eyes at him, "You already have some on Earth, and there is no one on Halön to even fight.."
The two looked at eachother and nodded, giving mumbles of agreement.
Tak bowed, and turned with no other word. The coldest of smiles plastered onto her face.

"Ari," Gaz said, taking small bite of her food. She didn't do this because she thought it was terrible, but simply because this was just how she ate. The food on this planet was actually vastly more tasteful than Earth food, everyone had agreed.
The boy looked at her, raising a thick brow as he took a sip of his drink. "Hmmm?"
"Zim said that your people, " She said slowly, thinking of what she wanted to know and say, "Had contact with ours. That you and Kyt are what we call Seraphim. What happened to the communication between our existences?"
Ari stared at his food for a moment, thinking. Although, he very well didn't have to. He knew the history of his world well and their connections to humans. He took a bite of his food, chewing slowly. When he finally swallowed, he cleared his throat. He spoke, looking directly at Gaz,
"We stopped communicating with humans, because we could not handle how closed minded they were. The incapability of understanding. There were and are an exceptional few whom were different. Although, the only difference between humans and us are many, we tend to be no better in the matters of the mind. The first of us were once humans. Chosen by the Creator, who is primarily called God by you. He is in fact just one being, all of those deities you humans came up with. All one and the same, serving the same purposes for all."
"He simply chose humans whom had been... Enlightened. We were to serve as guardians of this realm. Why humans of all the races is completely unknown. But after many ages, we started to look down upon the humans themselves and some went so far as to trick them. Giving them false knowledge and hope. Eventually, we got bored and just stopped bothering with you. You became too attached to us, relied upon our guardianship too much. It was a nuisance."
With that he rose from the table, and stretched, his wings unfurling. "I could go into much deeper detail, but we all need to rest. Goodnight."
No one said a word, but Zim stood up quickly. He gave a dramatic yawn, and saying things about not feeling too well and sleep sounding fantastic as he ran out of the room. Gir stood as well and began to scream at Zim, not wanting him to leave. "MASTER! MASTER PLEASE COME BACK TO MEEE! GIR MISSES YOUUUUU!"
He wailed, chasing after him. There were angry yells, followed by several crashes. Gaz scoffed, returning to her food. Kyt only stared ahead, unresponding. It made everyone worry. Especially Dib.
He wasn't sure if she was sick again, but he didn't want to bother her. He felt if he did this time, she wouldn't act as if she were herself. She had been acting strangely since yesterday afternoon. Was she shaken by almost having to be married to those hideous green creatures?
Possibly... He stared at her from the corner of his eye for quite some time before leaning over and kissing her cheek, "Good night."
She blinked several times as she turned to face him, then smiled softly, "Thank you, good night."
Dib returned the smile and got up, heading to his room. He noticed Gaz was already gone. He didn't reallize he had been staring at Kyt for so long. This always seemed to happen. He remembered he would spend whole class periods and if she wasn't in his sights, he would find excuses to look in her direction. A simple glance of her ghostly white hair was enough for him.
Kyt herself had sat in the chair long after everyone was gone. She wasn't unhappy or bored with the palace. Only perplexed. What Zim had said to her seemed to stick in her mind, longer than it should. She caught herself during dinner throwing one too many glances at the green skinned creature. Often thinking of their moments together. What was she doing, let alone thinking? She had Dib and that was all she wanted.
Wasn't it?

Tak brushed an invisible speck of the shoulder of her Irken suit, listening to the Almighty Tallest rattle on. An hour after they had dismissed Tak, they had called her back in. The two were set on sending some of their crews with her, to show that their power was by far greater than that of Kyt's or any of her species. Not that Tak entirely cared, but eventually she agreed, only praying that the idiots would not interfere with her plans. The Almight Tallest both cheered in glee, and ordered for laser thingies to be fired.
"May I be dismissed?" The female Irken snarled, rolling her eyes in annoyance.
"OF COURSE!" Almight Purple said, then paused before continuing, "But first... Tak... What happened to Halön?"
This caused her to stop in mid-stride, turning slowly to look back at the two.
"It would be my pleasure to inform you."
