A few weeks following Kaede's death.

Izayoi's POV

Mama and I sat in the living room watching the fire in the middle of the room crackle over and over again. Papa was sleeping in his room and Mama wanted to have some Mother-Daughter time. We both sat wrapped in one of the blankets and roasted some marshmellows over the fire, waiting for them to turn into a Golden-Brown color so that we knew they would be perfect to snack on.

When they were finally ready, we pulled them away from the fire and put them on crackers, topped them with small pieces of chocolate, and then topped the treat with another cracker for s'mores. Mama took the first bite of it. "Mmm~, delicious," Mama said after taking her first bite.

I took a bite and agreed with her. "These are good," I agreed, wiping some chocolate off my face.

Mama and I used to do stuff like this all the time when I was little. Sometimes, when Papa would go out to slay demons on his own, Mama and I would stay up, eat snacks, and then chat until one of us fell asleep- and by one of us, I mean me.

We had all decided, after Kaede's death, to take a break so Mama, Miroku, and Sango could readjust to being free from Naraku's control, even though kept insisting they were fine. Ayuma, Kayuma, and Mochigo went back to the village of demon slayers to rest and regroup, Shippo went off to do some fox magic training, and Arrosa went off on her own, again, to search for Naraku's weakness, despite constant insistment that she stay and rest. I don't know what to do to make her stay. I really thought she would've stayed in the village for a little while but she didn't.

"Mama, I've missed you very much," I admitted, laying my head on her shoulder. This was one thing Arrosa couldn't do. She couldn't lay with her Mother and tell her how much she loved her. It was something I really took advantage of.

She smiled at me and laid her head on top of mine. "I've missed you too Izayoi."

"There's so much I have to tell you."

"Well go ahead and tell me."

"For starters..." I went into a whole spiel about everything I had been through from the enemies I had fought, to Tensoga, to Uncle Sesshomaru, and yes I mentioned the relationship between Tsuyo and myself.

"So Tsuyo is Koga's son, huh?" Mama questioned.

"Yeah." A huge blush painted itself on my face. "I really like him Mama. And I know he likes me a lot too."

Mama giggled when she saw the blush on my face. "Oh Izzy, you're blushing." 

"Mama." 

"I understand sweetie. You have it a lot easier than me when I was young. You know how it was with me and your Father. We were both stubborn and wouldn't come out to admit our feelings for each other. We constantly fought and argued over the most trivial things really." 

"I know. You've both told me so." I yawned and then stretched out my arms. "I think I'm going to head to bed." 

"Okay Izayoi." Mama gave me a kiss on the cheek and then stood up. "Good night." 

"Good Night Mama." I made my way to my bedroom and fell asleep as soon as I laid down.

The next morning, Mama and I made breakfast together. Papa only woke-up when it was done, much to Mama's annoyance. "Inuyasha, you only got up after we were done with making breakfast," Mama growled. 

"No I didn't," Papa argued, which was a bad idea on his part. That started an argument between the two and I just decided to stay out of it. I backed away and then glanced over to the doorway and who happens to be there? Tsuyo with a bouquet of flowers. He had a finger to his lips, indicating that he didn't want to really get into a fight with Papa. I nodded and followed him outside. We made our way to the forest and sat in a tree overlooking the village. 

"Sure is a nice up here, huh?" Tsuyo asked as we looked out over the place. 

I nodded. 

He smiled and handed me the flowers. "I picked these for ya. I thought that you would like them." 

"Thank you," I smiled at him and took a big sniff of them. "They smell heavenly." 

"I saw your Mom's back." 

"Yeah. It's great having Mama back. She was gone for such a long time that I was started to forget her scent." I clenched my fists up at the thought of Naraku doing something to my Mother or making her do something she would never do. He made Kohaku do horrible things and I know that Mama, Papa, Miroku and Sango were forced to do things they did not want to do. It must have been awful. 

"At least she's out of Naraku's grasp," That's when I felt Tsuyo's arm wrap around my shoulders. He held me close to his side. "I know that you were worried sick about your Mother, but you had the patience and strength to handle your Mother being in the grasp of such a demon. If Naraku had my Mother, I would've charged in right away, blindly, and gone to try and save her." 

I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder. He blushed and I blushed. "Izayoi, can I tell you something?" 

"What is it?" 

"...I love you." 

"I love you too." 

"No, I mean I really love you. Do you feel the same?" 

I nodded without hesitation. "I'm not going to hide how I feel about you Tsuyo. I really do like you." 

Tsuyo smiled and held me closer to his side. "That's good. I hope you realize that because I worry about you when you go off to fight Naraku. I worry that there won't be anything I can do for you. Before, you were lucky. But you might not be so lucky next time. Do you know how much that frightens me?" 

I nodded. "I have to do this though. I promised myself that I would do whatever it took to defeat Naraku. I can't let him complete his plans." 

"I understand." Tsuyo gave me a kiss on my forehead and held me closer. 

3rd Person's POV 

From not too far away, Inuyasha and Kagome spied on the little couple. Inuyasha wanted to run and break Tsuyo in half when he saw him kiss his daughter but Kagome insisted that he just leave them be. My little girl is growing up, Kagome thought with a smile. Izzy.
