Izayoi's POV

I couldn't believe I was in the room with Papa. He just sat there and stared at me with his soulless eyes. I didn't care though because I ran and hugged him. "Papa," I whispered into his chest. "I can't believe you're here."

He didn't respond. 

Oh yeah, I realized. He's under Naraku's control. Yet, why isn't he attacking me? Is he suppose to be guarding me or something? What does Naraku plan to do to me then? I don't know why I decided to sit down next to him but for some reason I did. 

Silence filled the air. 

"Who are you?" he finally asked. The way he said it though made it seem like he was a little boy talking through a man. I looked at him and saw his eyes were no longer soulless but filled with confusion. "Who am I?" 

He doesn't remember anything, I realized. He doesn't even know who he is. "You're Inuyasha." 

"That's my name?" he asked as he looked at me with hopeful eyes. 

I nodded. "You'tr Inuyasha, a half-demon." 

"Half-demon?" 

"Yeah. I'm normally a half-demon too but right now I'm human." 

Papa just stared at me for some reason, as if I were a piece of a puzzle he was trying to put together. "Why do you look like her?" 

"Like who?" 

"This girl...I can't get her off my mind." 

"What does she look like?" 

"Like you but older." 

He must be talking about Mama, I thought. I wonder if she's in the same state as Papa is. Papa and I just continued to talk like that for what seemed like forever and it almost made me forget that I was trapped in Naraku's castle. Almost. 

3rd Person's POV 

"Her scent is this way," Tsuyo informed the others that were running right behind him. He knew he had to save Izayoi.  

"Are we getting any closer?" Shippo asked. 

"We should be there in a little bit," Tsuyo said. 

Right when they said that, Tsuyo was bounced back by a barrier that appeared out of nowhere. He was sent back and right into everyone else, knocking them all over. "Oww." Mochigo moaned. 

"Where did the barrier come from?" Ayuma asked. 

"Naraku must have put it up." Kayuma said. 

"No," Arrosa answered. "This barrier is too pure to be Naraku's. This barrier could have only been put up by a priestess." 

"Do you think Kagome is the one who put up this barrier?" Mochigo asked. 

"More and likely, yes," Arrosa spoke. "Naraku knows that it's hard for a priestess to break the barrier of another priestess." 

"So what do we do?" Shippo asked. 

"We need to find another way around the barrier."

As the others began walking, Tsuyo had worry rise inside of him. The longer Izayoi was in Naraku's possession, the more danger she would more and likely be in. The thought of something happening to the girl he...liked, was just heart wrenching. Please Izayoi, Tsuyo thought. Just hang on a little longer. I'll be there as soon as I can. I won't Naraku hurt you again.

Izayoi's POV 

I'm not sure how long I had been talking to Papa. It felt like we had talked for hours. He wasn't talking to me like he was my Papa; he was talking to me like he was a friend. To me, it felt like we were just two old friends that were catching up on how the other person had been. We even were laughing at one point. 

"Wow," I stated. "I haven't really laughed in a long time." 

"You haven't?" Papa asked. "But why?" 

"Well..." I didn't know how to answer. Then I realized it was because I had been on such a serious mission to find Naraku and make him pay for taking away my family. Plus he was after the sacred jewel- which I still didn't have any idea where that even was. 

"Hey? Are you okay?" Papa asked.

I snapped from my gaze. "Y-Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking is all." Suddenly, someone opened the screen door to the room. I looked up to see Kagura standing there. "Kagura!"

"Naraku wishes to see you brat," Kagura said. 

"I'm not going anywhere!" 

Kagura laughed. "You think you have a choice? Inuyasha, take her to Naraku." 

I looked back at Papa and saw his eyes go soulless. He grabbed my arms and pinned them behind my back. Without my half-demon powers, I was just a weak human. As Papa pushed me out of the room, I tried reasoning with him. "Inuyasha, stop it! This isn't you! You aren't just some slave to Naraku. Fight it!" 

The grip from Papa only increased as he pushed me closer and closer towards where Naraku was. 

Someone, anyone, help me, I thought. Please. 

3rd Person's POV 

"We've been walking in circles," Tsuyo stated. "And Izayoi's probably in horrible danger. We need to do something and now." 

Arrosa suddenly stopped the group. "Everyone, into the bushes." she instructed. 

Everyone went into the bushes and watched as they saw a part of the barrier raise up. Kanna walked out from the inside and stopped for only a moment, making everyone hold their breathe in anticipation. When she walked away without noticing them though, the others quickly ran inside the barrier before it could close. 

"What do we do now?" Shippo asked. 

"We need to find Izayoi," Tsuyo insisted. Before anyone could say anything else, Tsuyo caught a whiff of Izayoi's scent. "She's this way!" Tsuyo ran towards the castle that was not far from them at full speed and did his best to contain himself. Izayoi was so close. Not much longer until he could hold the girl in his arms. He just hoped that he wouldn't have to hold her lifeless body in his arms again. 

Izayoi's POV 

I was pushed to the floor after the screen to the room was opened. Before I could even sit up, I heard the cackle of the mad man that I despised so much. "Welcome Izayoi." 

I reluctantly looked up and my eyes met the red eyes of my worst enemy. "Naraku."
