Izayoi's POV

'Mama, Papa, help.' I thought. There was pain in my head and all over my body. I just wanted Mama and Papa. 'Mama, Papa, please, I need you.'

That's when I felt something cool on my head. It helped soothe the throbbing pain in my head and somehow helped my body relax. My eyes opened slowly and I saw that there was something covering my eyes. I tried sitting up but couldn't due to pain. "Lie down," a woman's voice told me. "You haven't fully recovered from your wounds."

'Who is this woman?' I thought.

The cloth was removed from my head, allowing me to see. I was in a nice room, with fine furniture here and there. "Good to see you awake." the woman spoke from the opposite side of the bed. I looked to see that it was a young woman, probably in her late 20's early 30's, with long, black hair, brown eyes, and a slender frame.

"Who are you?" I asked. "And where's Kilala?"

"Oh, you mean that little cat friend of yours?" the woman asked. "It left a little while ago. Oh, and I'm Rin, a pleasure to meet you."

3rd Person's POV

"Are you sure that Izayoi and Kilala were here?" Ayuma asked.

"I'm positive," Shippo told her. "I might not have as good a nose as Inuyasha and Izayoi, but I can still catch Izayoi's scent here."

They stood over the grounds where they believed the castle of Naraku was. Shippo had been trying to sniff out Izayoi and Kilala. That's when the group saw Kilala coming down from the sky.

"Kilala!" Ayuma, Kayuma, and Mochiogo said with excitement.

The giant cat landed on the ground and licked the three teens and Shippo with joy. Shippo then saw that Kilala had no rider on her back. "Where's Izayoi Kilala?" Shippo asked.

Kilala meowed and turned towards the West, where she had come from. "Do you want us to come with you?" Ayuma asked.

Kilala nodded.

Everyone, except Shippo, got onto Kilala's back and then went in the air to find out what Kilala had to show them. Shippo transformed himself into the pink ballon-like form and flew along side Kilala and the 3 siblings.

Izayoi's POV

Rin helped me out of bed so I could see around the castle she lived in with her husband. As we walked around, she told me about her husband; "He came and rescued you from Naraku you know."

"He did?!" I asked.

Rin nodded with a smile. "That's Sesshomaru for you."

"Sesshomaru?!" I asked. "But that's my Uncle's name!"

"Wait, are you Inuyasha's daughter?"

I nodded.

"Then you're my niece then."

"Look, I'm not trying to be rude or anything Rin but can you please tell me where Sesshomaru is? I need to talk to him."

Suddenly, the doors opened. I turned around to see that a tall man with long silver hair, pointy ears, marks on his cheeks, golden eyes, and a crescent moon on his forehead. "Why have you gotten out of bed?" he asked.

I was in too much shock to think. This was my Uncle, the older brother of my Papa. He was a full demon. He represented the side of my family that I barely even knew.

"I'll leave you two alone to talk." Rin said as she left the room.

All I could do was stare at my Uncle. He wasn't as ferocious looking as I thought he would be.

"Uh," I tried to speak. "I'm-"

"You're Izayoi," Sesshomaru answered. "My younger brother's daughter."

"How'd you-"

"Know? You have his scent."

'Right, he's a dog demon,' I thought. 'Completely forgot about that.'

"Why did you save me?" I asked. "Why didn't you let me die? Papa always said that you didn't care for him."

Uncle Sesshomaru was silent. Mama had told me that he wasn't one for words. "I didn't save you because I cared for you," he bluntly said. "I only wished to see what Naraku was up to. You just so happened to be there is all."

'I'm so feeling the family love right now.' I thought sarcastically.

"That was not Naraku though." Uncle Sesshomaru told me, making me gasp.

"If that wasn't Naraku, then who was it?" I asked.

"What I mean is that that was only Naraku's soul."

"Naraku's soul?"

"His physical body was destroyed in the battle against Inuyasha but his soul still survived. He's using the bodies of many demons in order to remain here. He needs something in order to revive his flesh."

".........The sacred jewel." I whispered.

Sesshomaru nodded.

Of course! That's what Naraku has always wanted. He wants to find a way to bring the jewel back in order to become all powerful again.

"A word of advice," Sesshomaru spoke. "You should not fight."

"Why not?" I asked.

"You do not know what kind of battle you are getting yourself into. You will only end up helping Naraku with his plans."

3rd Person's POV

The others soon found themselves at Sesshomaru's castle. "Should we just go inside?" Kayuma asked.

"Maybe we should knock first." Mochigo suggested.

Suddenly, the gates to the castle began to open. Everyone readied themselves as someone came out. That's when they saw it was Iziyaoi, who was sort-of limping out. "Hey guys." she greeted.

"Izayoi!" they all said as they ran to hug their friend.

"Oww," she said. "Guys, still injured here."

They all let go of their friend and looked at her with concern. "What happened?" Shippo asked.

"Did you beat Naraku?" Ayuma asked.

"How did you get here?" Kayuma asked.

"Did you find our parents?" Mochigo asked.

"Guys," she told them. "Why don't we head back to Kaede's for a bit? I need to rest up."

Meanwhile, inside, Sesshomaru was gathering his swords. As he did, Rin watched her husband with concern. As he passed by her, Sesshomaru planted a small kiss on his wife's cheek. "I will be back soon Rin." he told her.

"Please, just be careful Sesshomaru." Rin said.

Sesshomaru has now joined the fight.....well, more or less. Now Izayoi needs time to rest. But, there's danger coming. What will they do when........can't tell you yet! Please comment and vote on the story. Thanks!
