Chapter 19: Naraku's Invite
Izayoi's POV
I snapped the wood for the fire and placed them into the flames. We were all tired. I was so confused on the whole day. Firstly, Naraku's incarnation, Kagura, was back. But why? Why was she back? Naraku had killed her so why bring her back?
"I'm so confused." Mochigo said.
"I know," Ayuma said. "Why would he want to bring back Kagura?"
"It makes no sense to me whatsoever." Kayuma said.
Suddenly, a gust of wind caused us all to cover our eyes. When it died down, we saw Kagura. "What do you want?" I asked with anger.
"I have a message from Naraku," Kagura spoke. "He wishes for just the child of Inuyasha to come to Naraku's castle. Come alone. If you don't then your parents will die."
With that, the wind witch left the group.
"Why would Naraku want only you to go?" Ayuma asked.
"Doesn't matter," I said. "I have to go."
"You do realize that this is trap right?" Mochigo asked.
"I know that," I answered. "But if I don't go then my parents could die."
"But it's too dangerous!" Kayuma spoke. "You could get killed."
I knew the dangers of doing this but I also knew that I had to save my family, no matter what.
"At least take Kilala with you." Ayuma told me. She knew what this meant to me. If she had been in my position, I'm sure she would've done the same thing.
I nodded and got on top of the cat demon. She flew threw the air and I followed Naraku's scent. After flying for a while, I saw the castle we were looking for. "Down there Kilala." I instructed.
The big cat growled and then went to the ground. I jumped off her back and she then turned into a little cat. We both walked through the front gates that led into an empty courtyard. As we walked in, the gates slammed shut behind us, locking us inside. I gulped slightly and Kilala growled a little.
As we continued to walk, I noticed that there were a few bones that were in the courtyard. I tried to not look at them as I walked but I kept glancing at them from the corner of my eyes.
"Welcome Izayoi." Naraku's voice spoke.
Kilala growled and then transformed into a large cat. "Show yourself Naraku," I called out. "You wanted me, so here I am."
Naraku's laughter soon filled the air. I then saw a shadow from inside the castle. "Come on Kilala!" I said as I ran inside the castle.
I kept at a steady pace as I kept running and running, trying to find any sign of Naraku. Kilala was right on my tail, trying to help me in any way possible. I soon found myself at the last room in the castle. The scent of Naraku was strong in my senses. "Here it is." I said. Slowly, I opened the door with my sword in my other hand. When I looked inside, I saw a figure sitting on the floor, shrouded in darkness.
"Naraku!" I yelled, running into the room to attack him. However, when my sword went to slice at him, a barrier was there, causing me to fall back.
Naraku laughed evilly as I sat up. "Did you honestly think that you could defeat me?" he asked with a smirk.
"I can try." I said as I fired a sacred arrow at the barrier. It didn't do a thing to Naraku.
That's when a huge gust of wind knocked Kilala and I through the castle walls. Then, miasma filled the air. I start choking, trying to find air to breath. Kilala was already out cold and I was losing consciousness as I tried to crawl to the gates. "H-help," I struggled to say. "Someone, anyone." The last thought that was in my head was about Mama and Papa.
3rd Person's POV
From out of nowhere, a figure came through the gates of the castle, unaffected by the poisonous miasma. He saw Izayoi and Kilala on the ground. "Ah-un." he said in a calm voice. A strange two-headed demon came to its master's side right away. The man picked the girl and cat demon up and placed them on top of the creature before making it leave the castle.
As the man himself began to leave, Naraku had one of his tentacles reach for the man. However, the man just turned and sliced the tentacle like it was for nothing. He then left the castle without a second thought.

Meanwhile, Ayuma, Kayuma, Mochigo and Shippo were worried out of their minds about Izayoi. "Where could she be?" Mochigo asked.
"I have no clue," Ayuma said. "And it's been 3 hours."
"Look, we have to rest," Shippo said. "We can't keep worrying ourselves. It won't help anyone."
The three siblings looked at each other. "Let's get some sleep." Kayuma suggested.
The four then went to get some sleep, even though their minds were full of thought.
