Izayoi's POV 

"Please tell me that there's a village not far from here." I complained. 

"Relax Izayoi," Ayuma told me. "If we keep going we're bound to run into a village sooner or later." 

"Why are you so anxious to get to a village?" Mochigo asked. 

"No reason." I lied. I couldn't tell them why I was so anxious. I needed to keep my secret....well, secret. 

Thankfully, a village soon came into view. The headman agreed to give us each a room of our own to sleep in, which was just what I needed. As we went to our rooms, the others looked at me with suspicion. 

3rd Person's POV 

When Shippo was sure no one could hear him, he sneaked into Mochigo's room. "Mochigo," he whispered. "Wake-up." 

The young monk moaned and sat up. "What's wrong Shippo?" he yawned. 

"Come with me." Shippo told him. 

They both snuck out of the room and then went to where the twins, and Kilala, were sleeping. "Wake-up guys," Shippo whispered. "We need to talk." 

Both twins sat up and rubbed their eyes. "What do you want Shippo?" they both asked at the same time. (Twins moment!)

"It's about Izayoi," Shippo said as he lit a candle. "Didn't she seem a little 'off' today?" 

"She was acting quite on edge actually." Mochigo pointed out. 

"She seemed very nervous about something." Kayuma added. 

"Yeah but was it exactly?" Ayuma questioned. 

"We should find out." Shippo said. 

"Hold on Shippo, we can't just invade her privacy." Kayuma said. 

"She's right," Ayuma added. "That would be very rude." 

"But what if she's hiding the fact that she's sick or something?" Shippo questioned. "Or what if she's injured badly?" 

"Well," Mochigo began. "If that were the case then I guess we should find out." 

"Then let's go." Shippo said. 

The four, and Kilala, then stealthly sneaked towards Iziyaoi's room where they heard her lightly snoring. "Okay, let's go." Ayuma whispered.

They all tiptoed inside and made their way over to Izayoi. As they did, she began to stir in her sleep, causing everyone to freeze in place. She sat up and rubbed her eyes everyone kind of freaked out but she just looked at them and went back to sleep. They all breathed a sigh of relief. 

"That was close." Shippo whispered. 

"A little too close if you ask me." Mochigo added. 

"Hey guys, look at Izayoi for a moment." Kayuma said. 

They all looked at the young girl. Nothing seemed different about her. She just seemed tired. "What? Is something wrong with her?" Ayuma asked. 

"Where are her dog ears? And her white hair tips?" Kayuma asked. 

When the others looked more closely, they saw that her white tips of hair were gone, along with her dog ears. Her claws were gone as well and in their place was fingernails that belonged to a normal human. Also her sharp teeth were gone as well. 

"Holy cow!" Shippo said a little too loudly, causing the others to cover his mouth. When they let him go he talked softer. "Holy cow she's a human." 

They quickly left the room and stood outside. "So that's why she wanted to get to a village so quickly." Mochigo said. 

"It's the night when all half-demons lose their powers." Ayuma said. 

"But why would she not tell us?" Kayuma asked. 

That's when Mochigo felt something bite at his face. He slapped a hand to his cheek to see that it was Myoga. "Myoga? What are you doing here?" Shippo asked. 

"Totosai asked me to go check on Lady Izayoi's progress with her sword," Myoga explained. "And it seems I've arrived on her night of vulnerability." 

"Why would she not tell us though?" Ayuma asked. 

"It's not that the young mistress doesn't trust you, it's just because she has her pride and doesn't want to seem weak," Myoga said. "She's very much like her Father when it comes to pride." 

Suddenly, a huge thunderous sound was heard from the village. "Oh no, the village is under attack!" Shippo yelled. 

"Let's go then!" Ayuma instructed. 

"What about Izayoi?" Mochigo asked. 

"We can't let her get involved with this, let's go." 

With that, they charged off into battle without Izayoi. 

When they arrived on the scene, the group saw that a huge bear demon was destroying everything in its path. "Ready?" Ayuma asked. 

Everyone nodded. "Hey where's Myoga?" Shippo asked, noticing the little flea was gone. 

"I shall wait over here until the battle is through!" the flea shouted from the top a building, making the others sweat drop. 

"Okay, let's get him!" Ayuma instructed.

They all charged forward. Mochigo threw some sutras, Kayuma threw her boomerang, Ayuma used her swords, and Shippo used his smashing top. When the dust settled, it revealed that not even a scratch had been made. "I'll try to use my wind tunnel." Mochigo said. 

"Wait Mochigo!" Ayuma and Kayuma warned. However they were too slow to speak. 

"Wind tunnel!" Mochigo shouted, trying to suck the bear in. The wind began going and everyone stood their ground as the young monk tried to suck the bear in. However, the bear wouldn't budge so Mochigo closed it up. "Darn it!" 

That's when a sacred arrow came out of nowhere and hit the bear in the leg, causing it to fall. Everyone turned to see Izayoi was there with her bow and arrows in hand. "You guys didn't invite me to this party?" she asked with a smirk.

"Izayoi?" Kayuma asked. "What're you doing here? You're not strong enough to fight." 

Izayoi smirked more. "That's what you guys think," she said. She walked past them and aimed for the demon bear's head. "Bingo." With that, she released the arrow and hit the demon bear in the head, causing it to disintegrate. "Now that wasn't so hard was it?" 

Everyone's jaws dropped and they all stared in shock. "But, I thought you were weaker when you were in human form?" Mochigo asked. 

"No," Izayoi answered. "I just lose my demon strength so my spiritual powers increase!" 

"Oh." everyone said, making Izayoi laugh. 

The next morning, they all left the village with Izayoi in her half-demon form.
