Him

"...Kisumi?" I ask, examining the wolf closely. His coat was slick white with black running down his back and tail. There was a small crescent moon shape with two dots on his side, and his ears were black, but the right one had a chunk missing. Lastly, I notice the necklace.

"Kisumi?" Kyoya asks skeptically. It has to be Kisumi, no one else would have that necklace. Believe me, I know. I see Kis make eye contact with me and then look to Kyoya.

"Ah he's good." I smile, wrapping an arm around Kyoya's waist. "He knows." After saying this, Kisumi transforms to his human self, but his ears and tails (he has three) aren't showing. We all stand there for a moment before I squeal and launch myself at him, hugging him tightly. "Kisumi! How are you? What happened to your ear? When did you get tattoos? What happened after Papa and I left? Do you know what happened to mom? How did you even find me?"

"River, River, calm down." Kisumi chuckles slightly, wrapping his arms around my tiny form. "This isn't the time or place."

"River?" Kyoya asks and I blush slightly.

"A nickname my mother used to call me." I explain, laughing nervously as I let go of my long lost friend. "Uhm.. do you think we could head back to my place? So we can catch up.."

"Right, of course. Make sure you put your wig back on." Kyoya says, pulling out his wallet to pay the bill. I do as he says and then hug Kisumi again. He's like 6 foot while i'm only 5'8". His hair was a dark brown color and his body was very well toned. He was wearing a dirty white Tee and jeans. The three of us began walking back towards Kyoya's mansion.

"Oh i'm so rude." I laugh suddenly. "Kyoya, this is Kisumi, my friend from when I was like, 3. And Kisumi, this is Kyoya, my-"

"Boyfriend. Nice to meet you." He cuts me off, and then shakes Kisumi's hand. Wait, did he just say-? I blush.

"R-right.. boyfriend." I smile shyly. Kisumi wraps an arm around my shoulders and pulls me closer to him after letting go of Kyoya's hand. I can already feel the tensions growing between the two. Uh oh... Distraction, I need a distraction. Quickly looking around, I notice the street is empty, so I transform and then run ahead.

"River, hey wait up!" Kisumi shouts, and I can hear him transform and then chase after me. I turn back and then run around Kyoya as he continues to walk.

"So why did you choose someone like him?" He asks as we both walk next to Kyoya. "He's rich and snobby."

"After I moved here, Kyoya and I met up like a week later. And we've hit it off ever since. Although I stayed as a wolf at the time. It was only a few months ago when he found out I was Inugami." I explain, rubbing against Kyoya's leg. "He's cold hearted, yes, but I know the soft side of him.

Kisumi just nods. We turn down a road and Kyoya's mansion comes into view. "Woah that's his place?"

"Yep~ But we're heading to my place." We walk through the gates and then head into the woods. I transform back and grab Kyoya's hand. "Be prepared to do a lot of explaining Kis~"

(A/N : When Onaji says Kis, it sounds more like Keys XD)

"Same goes to you." Kisumi trots ahead. He probably already knows where my house is because of scent.

"I'm sorry that this happened so suddenly.." I murmur, squeezing Kyoya's hand. "I'm just so happy that I get to see him again~"

"I understand Ona, it's alright. But at least now, we're official." Kyoya chuckles, kissing my forehead. We both walk into my house and Kisumi's sprawled out on the couch, in his human form but his ears and tails are out.

"So~ Explain." I tell him. Kyoya sits down in the recliner while I head to the kitchen. Going in the fridge, I pull out the remaining cookie dough that Kyoya and I didn't finish. I hand the bowl to Kisumi and his eyes light up, and he devours the remaining dough.

"Kay, so Karuizawa right?" Kisumi starts, licking off his doughy fingers. This is how he always told stories. No matter if they were supposed to be sad or depressing.

"Yea, where we used to live." I chime in, sitting on the arm of the couch.

"The same day that you and Dai-Senpai ran, I was heading over to your place. And just as I came into view, Junkio-Senpai bolted out of the den, snarling and fierce. That's when I noticed the hunters. There were four of them. Almost all of them shot at once, and... they weren't tranquilizers." Kisumi frowns as my eyes widen. I feel the wetness on my cheeks and Kisumi leans over, pulling me into his lap and cuddling me. He continues with his story.

Kisumi's POV (his story)

"Look at what you idiots've done! We were supposed to capture her, not kill her!" One shouted, kicking Junkio-Senpai's lifeless form. A whimper emits from my throat as I long to go over by her, but I know it's too dangerous.

"We could still use her for testing, boss." Another suggests, and more conversation starts.

"Alright fine, bag her and throw her in the truck. I'll raid the place."

"10-4."

10-4? What kind of talk is that? I shake my head and nosy my way out further, watching as the guy goes into River's home. Crashes and bangs can be heard clearly as he tears up the place.

"Ah she must've had a daughter." I can hear him sneer, "No more 3s and 8s for you, pup."

As it goes silent, I make my way out of the bush, "River? Junkio-Senpai..?" I whisper, then yelp as something steps on my tail. I go to scramble away, but a rough hand grabs the scruff of my neck and lifts me in the air.

"Two is one day!" The guy laughs in my face, and I smell tobacco on his breath. The other one comes out of Junkio-Senpai's house and then smiles at seeing me.

"Good job, tell HQ we're 51 to them."

"Copy that boss."

I'm so confused, what are these numbers?

"The numbers are CB talk. 10-4 signifies that it's good, or you acknowledged someone. 3s and 8s is love and kisses, and 51, or sometimes 10-51, means they're headed that way." Kyoya interrupts me. He got up and moved next to me on the couch, and took River from my lap and put her in his own.

"How do you know that?" I ask, and he just smirks, pushing up his glasses. I don't know if I like this guy...

"Master Kyoya knows everything." River says, a small smile on her face. Her head was nestled on his shoulder.

"Right... anyway,"

Before I knew it, the man threw me into a metal cage that smelled of urine. I scratch at the door as he puts a padlock on it. A dark tarp was thrown over the cage and I hear doors slam. An engine starts and I lurch forward as the truck starts to drive. I try to keep balanced on my four paws, but keep falling over. Vehicle rides are not my thing. My small wolf body slams into the bars of the cage, and I see something move to my right. Using my night vision, I see that it's Junkio-Senpai's body. I whimper and reach a paw out, prodding her shoulder. Blood was washed over her beautiful white coat, and her eyes were half lidded.

"Junkio-Senpai..." I mutter, but she stays still.

After a long time, the truck stops and I slam into the back of the cage. The men get out of the car and then grab my cage, hoisting me off of the truck and carrying me somewhere. The tarp is still over the cage, so I don't know where they're taking me. Everything smells different here, and I don't recognize anything.

"What'd they do to you Kis?" River asks me, her hands clinging to my arm.

"Well, they put me in a kind of jail cell, and did experiments on me." I tell her, my body shuddering at the thought of them. "And there were others there. Lots of them. The scientists gave us shots and did surgeries and inflicted pain on us to see how much we could endure. And we all have barcodes."

"Barcodes?" Kyoya asks, raising an eyebrow. I nod.

"All of the Inugamis there have a barcode tattooed onto their hip. It's something the scientists use to identify us. Then they put a tracker in our ear, hence why the end of mine is bitten off."

"You couldn't've done that yourself, who did that for you?" Onaji asks, reaching up and running her fingers along my jagged ear, making me flinch slightly.

"Well... i'm getting to that. So when did I get kidnapped? We were five, so I was there for 12 years. And that's when he came."

"He?"

"Dai-Senpai."

Onaji gasps, and I continue.

I pace back in forth in my cell, my green eyes dull from any light.

"But sir, all of our cells are full. We'll have to put him with another Inugami." Dr.Ario says, walking down the cemented corridor with Hitch, a hunter, who was carrying a crate. Just another caught inugami wolf. I wonder who it could be this time?

"Place him in 1947's cage. He's too dull to do anything anyway."  1947? That's my number. My pacing stops and I glower as the scientist opens my cell door. The cage was opened and Hitch shook the wolf out into my cage. My eyes widen. Dai! The moment the door closes, I go up to the cell wall and look up and down the corridor. There has to be another cage. Has to be.

Once Ario and Hitch leave, going into the lab room. I nudge Dai. He needs to wake up, I need to tell him so much. He needs to tell me so much.

A day and night pass before his body stirs. Jumping up from the ground, I go over and crouch down on my haunches. "Dai-Senpai, are you awake?"

River's father groans and then sits up quickly, making our heads thwack together. "Onaji!

"River? Dai-Senpai, where is she?" I ask, rubbing my head as he does the same.

"Kisumi? Kisumi!" Senpai exclaims, recognition flowing through his features and he embraces me, nuzzling my neck like he always used to do. "It's been so long , son. Where are we?"

"At an Inugami laboratory I think. I'm not really sure what it's called, but all of these cells are full of Inugamis. I've been here for 12 years..."

"12 years? That.. was when Ona and I had ran and Junkio.." Senpai gulps. "Is she here?"

I hesitate, but shake my head, "Junkio-Senpai was murdered the day you left with River. That's when they caught me, too."

Dai's eyes widened and he sat back on his haunches, his mouth gaping open.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but where is River? She didn't get caught too, did she?" I ask, and Dai shakes his head.

"I sent her to Kyoya's, a boy she's friends with. Hopefully she's alright. How long have you been here? It has to be over a decade by now.. Haven't you ever tried escaping?"

"Oh i've thought it out, and came up with a good idea. I mean, i've been here 12 years, I had to've come up with something. But, I can't." I sigh, scratching one of my ears.

"And why's that?" Dai asks, tilting his head as he looks at me.

"There's a tracking device in our ears, along with the barcodes on our hips. But more-so the tracking device.

"If I were to bite the end of your ear off, would you?" Dai asks seriously, and I flinch at the thought.

"But Dai-Senpai, you just got here. Surely you want to escape to?"

"Tell me about this plan of yours son, and i'll help you follow it through. Think about it, i'm an old wolf, and the two of us could be easily tracked. And I need you to get back to my little Ona. She won't survive out there by herself.

"H-hai.. but let's wait a few days, and come down with a solid plan.

"And that's what we did. I think we actually waited around a month? But when the night came, Dai-Senpai gave me his necklace, and I bit down on a rag as he tore off the end of my ear. As the night monitor went past, I took the key we'd stolen and unlocked the cell, slipping out and surprisingly leaving the vicinity. Right away, I tried to follow Dai-Senpai's directions back to your home, so that I could find you."

"Woah.. Kisumi-Kun..." River's eyes tear up and she hugs me. "S-so Papa is still back at that nasty place?"

"Yea... I tried to convince him to go, but he refused. He wanted me to give you the necklace, and to tell you that it was Junkio-Senpai's." I whisper, taking the necklace off and then putting it over her own head.

"You've made quite a journey, Kisumi." Kyoya says, pushing up his glasses as he looks at me. I simply nod in acknowledgment. "Surely you're tired, and would like some rest. As for Onaji and I, we have school to attend to tomorrow."

"Eh? But Kyo-Kun, I wanna stay with Kis. Please may I skip tomorrow?" River begs and I feel my tails thump happily as she spoke.

"Skip? Ona, if my Father found out..."

"He won't! Th-that is... if you bring me the homework?" River gives him her best puppy eyes, that even I can't resist. I see Kyoya falter and then give in.

"Alright, but how about we head back to the mansion. If Kisumi would be in his wolf form, I shouldn't have too much a problem sneaking you in."

"Hai~! Arigato, Kyoya!" River lets go of me and stands up, hugging and kissing him. I glare slightly, but stand up. Now that i'm with River, she won't be out of my sight.
