Everyone was present at the party as my baby took the spotlight and stole their hearts. She met with the other kids who she now goes to the same school with and they all play in the bouncing castles and other play things that were lined up for them.

Ava and Russell were also in attendance, together with ma'am Sadie who I introduced to my birth mother. The both of them have been talking non stop eversince and I am glad my two mothers love each other. I watch my whole family in bliss.

"Someone finally got her happy ending, huh?" Ava teases me the moment she gets a hold of me.

"I have missed you, best friend." She gives me an almost choking hug.

"She is my best friend, not yours, so back off." I hear Maya say, defensively. Is this some war of bestfriends or something? What will I do with these girls?

"Maya." I squeal and hug her, not missing out on Ava rolling her eyes before scoffing.

"Ava, meet my best friend, Maya." I introduce and watch Maya tease her with her tongue, much to her dismay. Wait till you hear my next words, Maya.

"And Maya, meet my best friend, Ava." Ava replicates what Maya did and ends it with a laugh.

"You see, she saved the best for the last." She says to annoy Maya.

"We both know that is not true." Maya argued back.

"Ladies!" I exclaim to get their attention.

"You both are my best friends and I would not trade either of you for anything." I heave a sigh and say in a rush. They both look at me and I drag their hands for a hug as they both laugh.

"Hi." Two other ladies join us in our small circle. I recognize one of them to be Sophia, André's wife but not the other.

"Hello." I reply cheerfully.

"I am Marianna, that idiot's wife." She says, pointing at Lucas. He really did score himself a great one here, she is so beautiful. I remember the name now.

"Nice to meet you, Marianna. I am Amethyst. Hey, Sophia." I say as I lean in to give Sophia airy pecks on her cheeks and Marianna a hug.

"Welcome back." They both say, chuckling.

"Thank you." I respond.

"Ladies, I'll steal my wife for a second." Without waiting for approval from them, I feel Nikolas pull me from their midst and my eyes widen in shock as a result of his action. Ava and Maya laugh at me while Sophia and Marianna exchanged knowing looks and both wink at me.

"I have been watching you since we arrived, moro." He whispers in my ears when he dragged me to somewhere hidden.

"You are crazy, Nikolas." I shoot back.

"I am crazy for you. Please have mercy on me, agápi mou (my love)." He says with pleading eyes.

"You are not getting any right now, Nikolas, until we get back home. For crying out loud, this is our daughter's birthday." He rolls his eyes as I say the last part.

"Is that some unwritten rule now?" He huffs, asking.

"No.. but.." I say, stuttering.

"But what, hmmm, volída mou (my fireball)?" He says, kissing me on my neck. I quickly push him away, trying so hard to control myself on my end. Nothing will happen here, I chant in ny head.

"Kardia mou (my heart), I promise to be yours all through the night." I wink at him and bite my lips, teasingly and watch as he struggles then visibly relaxes as I speak.

"Okay, moró. I love you." He says, kissing my knuckles.

"I love you too." I giggle as his lips on my knuckles feel very ticklish.

"I'll excuse you to straighten your clothes. I won't wait for you, will be with the guys, else it will be difficult to keep my hands off you. I'll just watch you from afar from the preying eyes of some men here." I chuckle and he does a mock bow before leaving.

I straighten my clothes and hair and was about to leave when a hand pushes me back.

"You must be very foolish to come back. It seems you have not learnt from the accident." The voice said. I look up and I am met with the malicious gaze of Brittany; Nikolas' secretary and I gasp. She was behind the accident.

"It was so easy plotting the accident, sex with one or two men got them doing my bidding." She smirks at me.

"Oh, and the lady you saw that day with Nikolas, I sent her there too." This bitch, I should have sent her away when I had the chance to do it back then.

"I have always loved Nikolas but he was just so dumb to see it and all those years he kept being from one girl to another, you could imagine how much hurt I felt. I was okay when he started using me for his sexual satisfaction which was a mutual agreement between the both of us. I agreed to it because I thought slowly and surely, I would creep my way into his heart and then you came in and you fucking spoilt it!" She screamed in my face, pouring her drink on me.

"You, bitch!" I slapped her on the face and she lets out a cynical laugh as she gently places the wine cup on the floor.

"You fucking spoilt everything. For the first time, I saw him feeling. He changed and do you know the painful part, it was directed to your stupid ass." She laughs bitterly as she catwalked around me.

"I knew I could not have him again because he warned me and even threatened to fire me because of you this selfish brat." Her eyes darken in anger.

"The accident was just a way to get you out of the way. 6 years and he never stopped mourning you, well I could not have him and at least, he did not belong to any woman anymore so I was satisfied. Then, to my utmost shock you show up again, smiling your way through everyone like a perfect wife. That bullshit ends today." She states, bringing out a pocket knife from under her dress. I laugh in my head because if this girl thought she could harm me, she is in for an entirely different game.

She lunges towards me and I duck, quickly easing myself off my shoes. I know self defense and would use it. Thankful that I had on a dress that had slits, I fight her off me and we continue in an endless battle. I honestly pray someone walks in on us but what are the odds? This place is secluded from the main hall.

I recoil a little when I feel the sharp pain of knife cut through the skin on the side of my stomach.

"Amethyst, why are you not out yet? Shit!" My prayers were answered as Nikolas comes here, looking for me.

"Oh, hey, boss." This bitch still had the guts to speak.

"I am hurt, Nick, help me. She is the one behind everything." I say in pain and watch as Brittany runs off. He comes to my side and speaks into his phone.

"Red alert. Seal the entrance, get Brittany, she is the one we have been looking for." He says and nods his head before lifting me up in his hands. What a way to end the night.

"Please, stay with me, baby. She will be caught and will face the law." He says with pleading eyes. He takes me through a different exit so we don't attract the attention of everyone at the party.
