EVERY OTHER NIGHT, LYDIA HAD a different guy in her bed, she didn't judge her with what she was doing to get over Jackson, but it was annoying when the girl was having breakfast in her kitchen and a random guy would just walk downstairs half naked, joining her by making himself a cup of coffee and grabbing an apple for himself. Lexi liked quiet in the mornings, she liked to prepare herself for the day ahead with silence surrounding her, but unlucky for her, every single morning where Lydia would have a guy round, they weren't quiet people, and almost had something to say at all times. Since their mom wasn't home much over the summer, having had to take up another job, they have had most days to themselves in their house, meaning that Lexi could have Stiles round without his dad wanting them to keep the door open at all times, and Lydia could have her boy toys round with no problems.
Lexi looked at the new boy sideways as she scrolled through her phone with her coffee in her other hand - she was wearing one of Stiles' hoodie today, since it was the first day back, she wanted to completely change how people saw her, and she didn't want to be the 'popular girl' anymore.

"Morning." The guy, whom Lexi couldn't remember the name of, spoke up, a small smile on his face as he stretched his arms out above his head, his muscles flexing, like he was trying to impress the sister of the girl he was currently sleeping with. Lexi raised a brow at him, not knowing why he wasn't even wearing a shirt in the first place, when her sister finally made her presence known, walking into the kitchen with a bored look on her face, holding the boys shirt in her hand.

"You left your shirt on my floor." Lydia stated in annoyance, as if she couldn't be more annoyed at the boy for his presence in the Martin's kitchen. The girl completely ignored her sisters look of confusion, and carried on to the kitchen, pushing the shirt into the boys chest as he stumbled back slightly, his cheeks tinting pink in embarrassment. Lexi sighed, shaking her head as she glanced at the clock, knowing that Stiles should be showing up at any moment now to drive her to school. No matter how many times Lexi offered to drive the both of them, since she knew how his Jeep was still falling apart, he still wanted to drive it as much as he could before it's death.

When the boy shrugged on his shirt, Lexi had already drunk the rest of her coffee, getting up and placing it next to the sink, giving the boy an awkward smile, before she walked away from him and Lydia, not being able to take much more of their awkwardness. She didn't know why Lydia bothered with all of these guys, when she didn't even like any of them; she didn't need a boy to be happy, and that's what the girl didn't understand, and it broke Lexi's heart.
The sound of the familiar Jeep that she had grown to love over the past year had sent butterflies flying around her stomach - every single time she met Stiles again, the feeling never left her since the first time she realised her feelings for the boy. Stiles made her feel things that no other boy had made her feel, and it never went away with time, it simply grew and grew, till she felt like she would be completely obsessed with him, like he was with her.

The girl didn't bother with any goodbyes as she grabbed her bag and left her home, leaving Lydia to deal with her boy toy instead, so she didn't have to suffer through the horrid 'we shouldn't see each other anymore' talk. But then again, maybe that boy needed something to hurt his ego, as it was way too large. A smile broke out across Lexi's face when she saw the blue Jeep in her driveway next to her own black car, and seeing the boy she loved sitting in the drivers side - she didn't waste any time practically skipping down the steps to the passenger side door and pulling it open, climbing in and shutting it after her as she felt a hand tug gently at her chin and pulling her into the boy she loved. Lexi smiled into the kiss as Stiles pulled her towards him, his confidence never failing to amaze him when he acted like this around the girl, he still had the nerves he had when they first started dating, but he could be himself completely around her, and it gave him a confidence he never thought he would have.

When they pulled away, Stiles smiled down at her, "Hi." He greeted, as Lexi's smile matched his own.

"Hi." She replied, the same amount of cheerfulness in her tone. Stiles knew that Scott hated being around the couple when they acted all loved up all of the time, but he didn't feel sorry for the boy for it, since he had to put up with it from him and Allison throughout the whole school year last year. He was driving in with his new bike that he had saved up for, and honestly, Stiles was glad to have some alone time with his girlfriend before school eventually started again and they wouldn't be able to spend every minute with each other. "Scott making his own way in today?" She asked, pulling her seatbelt on as Stiles started up the Jeep, the loud rumble of the engine disrupting the neighbourhood yet again. Lexi knew that the neighbours weren't happy with Stiles' Jeep being seen around here, but she couldn't care less, she loved the boy, and he would always be welcome in her home no matter what happens in the future.

Stiles shook his head as he started driving down the familiar neighbourhood that he had grown to memorise over the holiday, since he was here almost every single day, "He bought a bike with the money he saved up, so he's driving in himself." He explained, as Lexi nodded in understanding. She always felt bad when she heard about Scott and Stiles saving up for new things, and working for their money, since her dad still sent her an allowance so he could avoid actually talking to his two kids and visiting them. Although she used the money for things she did need, like keeping her car working and getting things for school..

Lexi knew that Scott didn't want to hang out with them as much anymore because of how much they reminded him of himself and Allison - Lexi felt bad, but she just couldn't bring herself to stop, since she was too happy with Stiles.

Throughout the journey to school, the couple chatted about what the school year would be like, and whether people would look different after a summer away, but Lexi had a feeling everything would be the same again, just without Jackson this time around. They said their goodbyes for the meantime, before Lexi walked off to meet Lydia and Allison, and Stiles walked off to meet Scott, although, walking past two expensive looking motorbikes, she couldn't understand whom had bought them, considering the richest people now at the school was herself and her sister, now that Jackson was gone.
She couldn't see the students that they belonged to, so she carried on to her locker, where she was sure Lydia and Allison were waiting for her. And the girl was right, spitting Lydia and Allison already waiting by the girls locker, talking amongst themselves and looking at a bunch of freshman that had just walked into the building.

"Hey girls." Lexi greeted, stopping besides the two girls as Allison was putting some of her new books into her locker, one besides Lexi that she put in her code for and began to do the same.

"Took you long enough to get here." Lydia told her sister, rolling her eyes at the girl as she had left after her and had arrived to school before she had even pulled into the parking lot. She knew that Stiles drove slow, but sometimes he drove like an old man.

"Sorry Stiles doesn't drive like a maniac, like you do." Lexi replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes right back at her sister for her comment. Lydia's driving was reckless at most times, and Lexi always liked to take her own ride into school, even before she could drive, she hated being Lydia's passenger..

Lydia turned to Allison, "You'd think they parked up somewhere to have some alone time, but they haven't even had sex yet!" She informed Allison in a hushed tone, not wanting anyone walking past them to hear what they were talking about by eavesdropping. Allison was surprised, to say the least, that the couple hadn't done the dead as of yet, since they were all over each other from what she could see - it didn't take her and Scott long, but then again, they had jumped into their relationship incredibly fast.

"Lydia!" Lexi gasped, slapping her sisters arm, not knowing why she had to blurt that out, and when she looked back at Allison, the girl simply looked confused. Lexi sighed, shutting her locker after shoving them in her bag harshly, "We're taking it slow, okay?" She explained, as Allison merely nodded, knowing that their relationship wasn't any of her business.

"Well, I was just telling Lydia that there's more to life than boys." Allison changed the subject quickly, noticing that Lexi didn't exactly look the most comfortable with the conversation about her and Stiles' sex life. The two weren't exactly ready for it, yet, and they were just enjoying their time together, they didn't want to rush into anything and ruin what they had..

"Look, Allison, I love you.. But if we need to do that thing where we talk about me and pretend like we're not actually talking about you, it's totally fine." Lydia said, knowing that Allison was just pushing her own insecurities on her - she was looking for a new boyfriend this year, wether Allison wanted her to or not. She needed the distraction. "But I don't want a boyfriend. I want a distraction." She admitted, checking a new boy out as he walked past.

It wasn't until she looked towards the end or the corridor, did she see exactly what she wanted for this year. Twins. Lexi followed her eyeline the second she saw the look on Lydia's face, seeing two boys walking side by side, clearly twins, holding helmets in their hands and wearing matching leather jackets; she raised a brow at the sight of them, knowing that these two boys may be the new Jackson, and she also knew that Lydia had a new target.. Even Allison looked over at them in interest, having not seen any boys like this in Beacon Hills before, "Brothers?" She asked, noticing the similarities between the two of them, especially in the way they walked, too.

Lexi smiled at Allison's question, shaking her head slightly as she and Lydia kept their eyes on the new twins. "Twins." They said, knowing that now, they weren't the only twins in the school..

As much as Lexi tried to push the feeling away in her gut, the feeling that something wasn't right, and that something bad was happening as she walked into her first class of the year, she just couldn't. It made her feel sick, like she needed to lie down, but she didn't want anyone in the pack worrying about her like they had done in the previous year when they all found out about her ability - she knew that her bad feeling meant something bad was happening to someone in the pack, but she didn't know who, and she didn't know what.. Walking into her next lesson, she planted a fake smile on her face as she laughed along with something Lydia said, before taking her seat across from Stiles, the boy instantly knowing that something was up with her, and sending her a look, which she shook her head at, knowing exactly what he was asking. She wasn't about to ruin everyone's first day of school, especially since Scott was trying to pass this year, he didn't need the distraction.

Lexi looked down at the book in front of her, trying to ignore Stiles' gaze burning into the side of her face, because he knew something was wrong with her, he could tell by the look in her eyes, he just wished she wouldn't hide it from him, because he could help her, and he could get Scott to help, too. He could see Allison and Scott having an awkward moment besides him, but he just couldn't care, not when the girl he loved was in trouble.

Before he could speak up and ask her what was wrong, everyone's phone in the classroom went off, everyone getting a text from the same person, and everyone wondering how a random person had even gotten their number. However, Lexi just couldn't bring herself to care, ignoring her phone as she leant back in her chair and sighed, looking forwards at the new teacher that she already didn't like that much, she got a bad vibe from her, and she knew that this wasn't going to be her favourite classroom. She got on with the work like everyone else, when Scott was called out for some unknown reason, and she felt the feeling in her stomach again, this time more intense, and more overpowering.
"Hey, Lydia." She heard Stiles whisper, pulling the girl from her thoughts as she glanced over, looking at her boyfriend as he frowned at her sisters wrapped up ankle from their dogs bite the other night. "What is that? Is that from the accident?" He asked, unsure as to why Lexi had brought up that Lydia hurt herself with the deer attack.

Lydia glanced back at her sister, who shrugged, not knowing why Stiles was so interested in her ankle. "No. Prada bit me." She eventually answered, not exactly proud about their dogs little outburst, since he was usually so good to them both.

"Your dog?" Stiles asked in disbelief, having met the dog and wondering how it could have done that since it was so nice.

"No. My designer handbag." Lydia replied, giving the boy a look that Lexi merely sighed at, pinching the bridge of her nose to try and rid the headache that was suddenly plaguing her head.

"Lyds. Be nice." Lexi muttered, causing Lydia to roll her eyes at her.

"Yes. My dog." Lydia told her sisters boyfriend.

Lexi started to tune out at this point, letting her pen drop onto her desk as she closed her eyes, the voices muffling around her as she felt herself completely dissociate from real life - she could sense something bad happening, and the fact that she hadn't warned anyone about it yet, was giving her warning signals, like she should be shouting from the top of her lungs that something was about to go down. "Sti." Lexi whispered, such vulnerability in her voice that even Lydia whipped her head around to see what was wrong.

Stiles heart dropped at the sight of his girlfriend, she had a few tears running down her face, and he knew that she was having one of her episodes, and his chest stung at the fact that mentally, he couldn't help her, whatever was happening to her, didn't have any way out, and she just had to get through it, which is exactly what Deaton had told them when he said what to do when she next has an episode. It had been such a long time since anyone in the pack had been in any real danger, and the fact that she was starting to have them again, meant trouble was coming, and that was never a good thing.

Before the boy could even act on his girlfriend on the verge of a panic attack, a loud bang was heard on the window of the classroom, so loud, that everyone in the class looked over, seeing nothing but a blood splatter on the window. Lexi looked up through her blurry eyesight, her heart dropping when she heard birds squeaking outside, heading exactly for them all. When another bird flew into the window at full speed, dropping down and leaving another blood splatter, as well as a large crack, Lexi's eyes widened, not knowing what was happening or why, but knowing that this was only the start of something worse coming.

When more windows broke, and more birds began to fly into the classroom like rabid animals, Stiles didn't waste a single second grabbing Lydia's wrist and pulling her down to Lexi's table, all three of them cowering underneath with Stiles shielding the two girls and Lexi gripping onto her sister and boyfriend for dear life, ducking her head into Stiles' chest and squeezing her eyes shut, praying for the moment where it all comes to a stop.

She didn't even realise that the birds had stopped until she felt Stiles pull her up off of the ground and pulling her into his embrace, she felt awful that she hadn't warned everyone before it happened, and because she didn't, everyone in this room was injured in some way from the attack. "I should've said something." The girl sobbed, as Stiles pushed the hair away from her face, tucking it behind her ears and using his thumb to wipe away her tears and blood smudges on her cheeks. She shook her head when she saw the look on his face, "I knew something bad was going to happen, and I didn't say anything. It's my fault." She carried on, as Stiles shook his head over and over again, knowing that none of this was her fault in any way.

"None of this is your fault, okay? Don't blame yourself." Stiles told her, glancing around the room at the dead birds and injured students, many crying from what had just happened, before he pulled Lexi's head into his chest, stroking her hair in hopes that it would sooth her.

Even Lydia watched worriedly, not knowing what she could do to help, but the main thing plaguing their minds, was that something was happening, and it wasn't good.
