There in the sky

A bird is flying
Big wings are flapping
Children watching that bird are clapping

Maybe one of them made a dream at that very moment
Maybe one of them thought of having those wings someday
Maybe one of them wished to fly high up above in the sky

But could it be ?
If only those children could see
That the bird that they so adore
Is not flying for joy
But flying away from the slingshot
Who is targeted by a boy

Down below , the bird caught an eye
Couple of children watching him fly by
She saw them clapping with joy
And the bird thought
Could it be ?
The children who are so excited to watch him fly
Could kill him when they grow by

Straight ahead on the big tree
Couple of baby birds were chuckling on the nestle
Cause their mom had made them a small castle

They saw their mom stopping in between the sky
They could not understand why

A tear roll down from an eye of a mother
Cause she could not flap her wings now
And the gravity is pulling her down like never before
a tear rolled down from the other eye
Cause she could not feed her children anymore
She could not say goodbye to her babies
Even being so near

A bird died ,
Children cried ,
The boy smiled ,
Their mom left
and the babies still do not know why
