|Chapter 1|
*Dylan's P.O.V*
I stared out the car window in awe, soaking up the beautiful green scenery that whizzed by as we drove down a winding road. We'd been driving for hours now and usually, I hated long car journeys, but I was too excited to care this time. Why was I so excited, you ask? Only because I was about to spend the entire summer at Camp Rock! The summer camp where dreams come true... Just ask my older sister, Mitchie. Our dad was extremely protective over me and never let me go before, even though Mitchie and our mother were there, but I was sixteen now and I'd finally been able to convince him to let me go.
"How long now?" I asked impatiently, desperate to reach our destination.
"Dyl, you've been asking that same question ever since we left home." Mitchie laughed.
"I'm excited, okay?" I giggled.
"Only about twenty minutes now, Honey." Mom told me and I could feel my excitement grow even more, as if that was possible at this point.
Sure enough, we passed a big sign that said 'Camp Rock' and I couldn't help but squeal.
"Dylan, calm down!" Mom chuckled.
"I can't!" I answered.
"You're gonna love it here." Mitchie grinned at me as Mom parked the car. We all got out and a man of average height with stubble walked over.
"'Ello, fellas!" He greeted us in a British accent.
"Brown!" Mitchie beamed and gave him a hug, "Brown, this is my little sister, Dylan. Dylan, this is Brown Cessario, he runs this place."
"Nice to meet you, poppet." He gave me a friendly smile and stuck his hand out.
"You too." I smiled shyly and shook his hand. After welcoming us, he took us to our cabins. Mitchie and I were sharing a cabin while Mom had one to herself. In case you were wondering, Mom was the camp's cook as usual, Mitchie was a camp counsellor this year and I was just an ordinary camper.
After Brown left Mitchie and I to ourselves, I decided to change my outfit. I was in a pair of leggings, a t-shirt and a ponytail and I wanted to make a bit more of an effort for when Connect 3 arrived. Despite my sister dating one of the band members, this would be my first time meeting Connect 3. I'll admit, I was pretty nervous, but can you blame me? They're one of the world's hottest boybands.
I ended up changing into a white tank top tucked into a burgundy skirt, a denim jacket and pair white Converse. I curled my hair yesterday and it was still pretty bouncy, so I just took it out of the ponytail and shook it about a little. I slipped on my sun tattoo choker and put on a gold, black and (fake) diamond bow ring on.
By the time I decided that I looked somewhat cute, I heard what sounded like a bus pull up outside.
"They're here!" Mitchie squealed, grinning at her phone, "Shane just texted me. Come on!" She literally grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the cabin. Sure enough, there was a giant tourbus parked outside with Connect 3 printed on the side, as well as the boys' faces printed on the side as well. The door of the bus opened and the boys came out one by one. First was Jason, then it was Shane who Mitchie tackled in a hug as soon as she saw me, and then Nate came out and my breath hitched in my throat. He was even more gorgeous in person. Adorable curly hair, sparkling brown eyes, god-like physique... In case you hadn't already figured it out, I had a bit of a crush on Nate. I had done since Mitchie and Shane even met. I wasn't a crazed fan or anything, I just always thought he was cute.
"Shane, this is my little sister, Dylan." Mitchie introduced me to her boyfriend.
"Hey." Shane flashed me a smile.
"Hi." I managed to smile back, before Shane then started kissing my sister again, making me feel very awkward. I thought it would be a good idea to start walking backwards to get out of the situation. Not a good idea. In fact, a very bad idea. One of my feet got caught behind the other and the next thing I knew, I was falling backwards. I closed my eyes, waiting for the humiliation that I was about to feel from falling on my butt in front of Connect 3, but the impact never came. Instead, I felt a pair of arms catch me by the waist. I slowly opened my eyes to see another pair staring back at me. A pair of brown eyes. A pair of sparkling brown eyes. A pair of sparkling brown eyes that belonged to Nate flipping Gray.
"Are you okay?" He asked, helping me steady myself before letting go of my waist.
"Uh, yeah, thanks." I smiled, blushing, partly from embarrassment and partly because Nate Gray's arms were just around my waist.
"No problem, but you should probably be more careful. I might not be there to catch you next time." He playfully winked, making me feel weak at the knees.
"Sorry, I've always been a klutz. I'm pretty sure a tripped on my way out of the womb." I laughed awkwardly, only for Nate to give me a peculiar look. I cringed when I realised what I said. I just took TMI to a whole new level, "That sounded a lot better in my head..." I awkwardly trailed off. Nate chuckled.
"I'm Nate." He said.
"I know." I replied and he gave me another strange look. To be fair, I sounded like a bit of a stalker saying that, so I quickly added, "You know, 'cause you're in a super famous band and all."
"Maybe, but I wasn't just going to assume you knew who I was. My ego's not that big." He said, a small smirk tugging at his lips, "So, are you going to tell me your name or am I going to have to guess?"
"Oh, uh, right. I'm Dylan, Mitchie's sister." I told him, just as Jason walked over.
"Nate, I need you to help me get the rest of the equipment out of the bus." He told his brother. Nate simply nodded.
"Oh, Jason, this is Dylan. She's Mitchie's sister." Nate introduced us.
"Cool, hey." Jason gave me a friendly nod.
"Hey." I gave him a smile in return.
"Right, now, come on, man." Jason urged Nate.
"Alright, alright. I'll see you around, Dylan." He gave me a charming smile that made my stomach fill with butterflies, before running off with his brother.
"Dylan!" I turned around to see who was calling me and saw Mitchie waving me over. She was still stood with Shane, but a girl with curly, golden brown hair was with them now as well.
"Dylan, this is Caitlyn. Caitlyn, this is my little sister, Dylan." Mitchie introduced me to the girl.
"So, you're the famous Dylan I've heard so much about." Caitlyn winked.
"I've heard quite a lot about you as well." I giggled.
"Well, it's great to finally meet you." She smiled warmly at me.
"You too." I returned the smile. I could tell I was going to get along with this girl.
At that very moment, a black limo pulled up alongside Connect 3's tourbus and a girl with long, straight blonde hair wearing designer clothes, carrying a designer handbag stepped out. Now, I already knew who this was. Tess Tyler.
"Tess!" Mitchie grinned upon seeing her as she and Caitlyn ran over to hug her. I stayed behind, though. I heard all about how horribly Tess treated my sister during her first summer at Camp Rock, and how she betrayed everyone by joining the rival camp, Camp Star last summer. Apparently she's changed her ways now, but no one goes from being that mean to being super nice that easily. All I'm saying is I don't trust her all that much.

It was now later on in the afternoon and I'd decided to go out and do a bit of exploring while Mitchie was in our cabin reading a book. I ended up wondering into the Mess Hall, which looked like the cafeteria or something. However, since there was an open mic night being held there tonight, I spotted a keyboard in the corner of the room and decided to go check it out. I sat down on the stool and began playing it. I was just messing about at first, but then I got into the beat and then, somewhere along the way, I started singing.

I closed my eyes whilst I was singing and when I finished, I heard clapping. I jumped out of my skin and opened my eyes with a gasp to see Nate stood in front of me.
"N-Nate..." I trailed off, standing up, "How long have you-" I tried to walk towards him, but my foot got tangled up in the wire of the keyboard, causing me to going flying into Nate's arms.
"Looks like I was be there to catch you next time." He smirked, referring to what he said earlier. I just giggled nervously, feeling my cheeks heat up.
"You have a cute laugh." Nate told me, still smirking as I felt my cheeks turn even redder. "You have a beautiful voice, by the way." He said, not giving me a chance to respond, which was probably a good thing as I probably would've said something embarrassing.
"Oh, I was just messing around." I shrugged.
"I'm serious. You have a real talent, and you're really good on the keyboard." His smirk had now turned into a proper smile.
"Thank you." I smiled back at him.
"So, what are you doing in here alone?" He wondered.
"Oh, I was just wondering around the camp grounds and ended up in here." I replied.
"How far did you get? Exploring camp, I mean." He asked.
"Not very far, if I'm honest." I laughed.
"Well, I could give a tour if you like? I know this place like the back of my hand." He winked.
"I'd like that." I smiled softly.
"Right this way, madame." He put on a posh accent as he opened the door for me.
"Why thank you, kind sir." I giggled, as we left the Mess Hall.
