Creative - James has an abundance of song lyrics and tunes swirling around in his head at all times of the day. He can hear a random phrase someone said or start humming a few chords under his breath, and he will suddenly haves a whole new song to add to his impressive repertoire.
Deep - His lyrics aren't shallow and all about the externals. On the contrary, they are all about people's feelings and desires that are usually hidden and not spoken about. His music is raw and inspiring to many who are struggling in all kinds of ways, be it questioning their sexuality, abuse, addicted to drugs etc.
Cocky - While his music is one thing, James is another. Due to his tremendous fame and popularity, he has gotten very cocky and confident in himself. He can be sort of a jerk at times due to this, but he doesn't mean to be. His music is the real him, but it's buried deep inside himself.

Singing - Ever since he was a little boy, James loved singing. It always makes him feel better, no matter what kind of mood he's in. The lyrics really speak to him and that's apparent in the way he sings. Sharing his talent with the world was always his biggest dream, and now that it has come to fruition, he couldn't be happier.
His guitar - James has enough money to buy all the guitars he wants, yet he only has one that is a few years old already. Noisy places - Surprisingly enough, James composes his best songs while in a loud and crowded place. He finds the sounds of chatter, laughter, and just random noises pleasant and comforting. It also helps drive other thoughts out of his head, so that the only thing he's concentrating on is his music.

DISLIKES
Negative attention - No celebrity likes this, and James is no exception. He works extremely hard not to anger people and not to sound controversial. He's a rather calm and smart guy, so he doesn't usually say or post something out of anger or stupidity that will cause a lot of backlash. He stays far away from causing fights and arguments with other celebrities, something that's hard to do, since some of them seem to be set on it.
Sore throats - Being that his whole career is dependent on his voice, when James gets a soar throat, he's in trouble. After having lost his voice a couple of times when he first started singing professionally, he's very vigilant of when his throat starts hurting. Whenever it does, he downs gallons of hot tea and wears scarves, no matter the weather, to protect his throat.
Strong odors - James has a very sensitive sense of smell, so if there's any type of strong smell, both good or bad, it bothers him a lot. He even has to wear odorless deodorant, since any other type would be too much for him.
Cancer - It's not only cancer that he doesn't like, more like things that he can't control. However, it was because of the cancer that took his mother's life that caused him to start feeling this way. No matter what he had done to help his mother get better, nothing had worked. He was utterly helpless and useless, and he didn't like it.

Losing his father - Ever since his mother died, James only has his father left. They had grown closer after the death, and just the thought of losing him too was too much to bear. No matter how busy James finds himself, he always manages to call his father once a day to check up on him and see how he's doing.
Hospitals - Even before his mother had started going to the hospital for treatment, James had an aversion to hospitals. The smell of sickness and medicine, the masked doctors and nurses walking around, the stark white walls - it makes James shudder every time he thinks about it.

HISTORY
From when he was very young, James loved singing. As he got older, his parents realized that their son had a talent, and encouraged him in it. They paid for voice lessons for him and took him to a lot of concerts so that he could appreciate what people do with their voices. When he was eight, he got his first guitar, and went for lessons. It was then that he found his second favorite thing to do. He could be found in his room for hours, strumming away on his guitar and singing. When he was fifteen, his mother got cancer. For the next four years, she fought against it, but eventually she lost. During those four years, James had played his guitar and sang to her to take her mind off of her sickness and to make her feel better. His mother bought him a guitar for his nineteenth birthday, which happened to be three months before her life ended. It was after her death that James started composing songs and really thinking seriously about becoming a professional singer. All it took was a few short months, and suddenly the world knew who James Mills was. He became known for his emotional and tear-jerking lyrics, his songs resonating in the hearts of many. Now, almost a full year since he started sharing his voice with the world, he is one of the most listened to singers in the United States.
