APPEARANCE

Aria has curly brown hair that comes to just above her shoulders, yet is still long enough to put into a bun on the top of her head during shows. She has dark brown eyes that always seem to be dancing, be it happily or hostilely. The color of her skin is what gives her the biggest grief since it is on the darker side, something that almost everybody looks down on and makes them think that she is nothing more than a show animal good for nothing but her tricks. She has a light smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks. She is 5'4" and weighs 118 pounds, her upper body as well as legs full of lean muscle due to her constant training and performing acrobatics.

PERSONALITY
Flirtatious - Aria is a big flirt, although even she herself isn't positive if it's only because that's how the ring master told her to act. She flirts with all of the men who come to watch the circus, be they young or old, handsome or ugly. It is her job to make sure they enjoy themselves the whole time, even when she's not the one performing. At least not her usual act, that is. She knows how to speak words of honey as well as use her body to speak for her.
Cautious - Aria is extremely cautious not to let her secret out and expose her. No one could know about the fact that she doesn't die, or else they would really think she is an anomaly more than they already do and administer many tests and experiments on her, turning her into a lab rat and her life into a torturous one. So while she is definitely more bold when it comes to performing high above people's heads on a string that is no thicker than a thread, she is still very careful that she never gives the audience or the ring leader a chance to figure out her secret.
Daring - Aria can be quite daring and bold, knowing she cannot die. If she were to fall from a great height, it would hurt horribly, but she would not die. If she were to insult a man a little too much or get caught up in a mob due to her color, she would not die from any knife wound or beating. So she is less careful with her life, seeming to others to be foolishly reckless with her actions and words, but this is why the audiences love her performances so much. A girl who apparently is either not scared to die or is extremely confident in her abilities not to fall, even when she executes some crazy and dangerous moves.
Proud - Although no one else is, or maybe even because of it, Aria is extremely proud of her race and color. It is something that causes everybody with lighter skin to look down on her for and treat her more like dirt than anything else. Although she may have to suffer in silence, knowing she could be punished for talking back to anybody when they insult her or say highly insensitive things, she carries herself with a straight back and meets the eyes of everyone she meets.
Loyal - Being as that it is very hard to gain her trust, if someone manages to do so, Aria is extremely loyal to them. She will do anything for the other performers in the circus, considering them her family, especially since she didn't know of her biological one. People with the same coloring as her also get her undying loyalty, being as that they were all suffering discrimination and were in it together.

LIKES
Heights - Aria gets a thrill from being up high, far above people and their judging looks and hurtful words. When she is high up, be it on a rope or a roof, she can almost pretend as if she is the only one in the world that really matters, despite everyone else believing that she and those like her don't.
Philippe - Her partner for her act is a male not much older than her. Because of all the time they spend training together and the fact that he is responsible for not letting her fall, they have grown close to each other and Philippe is her favorite person in the circus. They are constantly teasing each other and acting just like any siblings would.
Chocolate - A rare delicacy, whenever Aria can get a small square of the sweet, yet slightly bitter chocolate, she gobbles it all up. She even tried it in liquid form once or twice and loved it as well.
Training - Training is when Aria and Philippe can spend plenty of time together, having fun and doing what they love without anybody watching and gawking. She loves the way it leaves her breathless and her muscles tired.
A successful performance - Aria revels in the crowd's gasps and cheers as they watch her and Philippe do their tricks. And once they finish, the thundering applause is the sweetest sound she has ever heard.

DISLIKES
Discrimination - Growing up in those times when the white people are deemed important and everyone else is simply less than, Aria is used to racial slurs and unwanted touching, but she hates it with every fiber of her being. Just because of the color of her skin she should be considered nothing more than a pet, a thing that anyone could do what they like with?
The Ring Master - While all of the performers in the circus are Aria's family, there is one important person who most definitely is NOT; Leonard Fagan, the ring master. He is a man who is after nothing but money and fame and will do anything to get that, using "his" performers any way he wants. He is lazy, greedy and cruel and forces Aria to do things that she most definitely doesn't want to do but needs to unless she wants to lose her job.
Men - One of the things Aria is forced to do at the circus while not performing is please the men, anyway they want. If they want her to sit on their laps, she will do it. If they want to touch her, feel her, own her, she will let them. But her hate for them is all encompassing and she always wishes that they would all just die so she would no longer feel their touches even after they are long gone.

FEARS
Ràpe - Being a dark skinned female, people feel as if they are entitled to her in every way. No one would think twice if they saw her alone in a dark alley and wanted to get between her legs. At least Leonard hasn't forced her to get into bed with any of the men, but she is always scared that one day he will.
Being fired - Having lost her family once before, Aria is terrified to lose her second one and will do anything not to displease the ring master [ a very difficult task ] and keep her job. And home.
People finding out her secret - Not even Philippe knows about Aria's secret for she's scared that he would never look at her the same again. She would be even more of an anomaly than she already was due to her skin color and many awful things would be done to her if anyone else found out.

HABITS
Bouncing on her tiptoes - Whenever Aria is bored or restless or even excited about something, she bounces on her tiptoes.
Blinks a lot - Instead of crying whenever she's upset or whenever she's insulted, she blinks a lot to keep the tears at bay.

FAMILY LIFE

HISTORY
Aria doesn't have any history. She has no idea where she comes from, who her parents are, how she even ended up in the circus. Someone must have found her as a young babe and given her to the circus, a common practice in those days, especially if her skin was darker. She grew up amongst the many different, some eccentric performers and workers of the circus, the bright lights and menagerie of animals and it became her family, her home. She loves them all dearly and wouldn't ask for another family. She started performing when she was just five years old, the ring master seeing potential in her light footedness and agility and most importantly, another way for him to make money. She always disliked the man, but never as much as she has the past few years when she grew into a woman and Leonard forces her to use her body to please others. Besides for that and him, she has happy memories of the circus. The only other thing that mars  it is the fact that she cannot die. She doesn't know why or how it happened, but she figured it out when she was caught in a mob once and should have died, trampled to death. Instead, she woke up a few hours later, extremely sore, but otherwise fully alive. Ever since then, when she had been eight, Aria has seen that not only can she not die, but if she were to get injured, she would heal faster than normal. A deep gash could stitch itself back together within a few hours and a concussion could last only one day. She even cut herself a few times to experiment and even when the cut went pretty deep, it always healed within a few hours, a day at most. She keeps her "condition" to herself, scared what it would mean for her if people knew.

When she was trampled, her whole body was on fire with the pain of broken bones and when she closed her eyes, she was sure it would be for the last time.
